Red Lion Hotel Templin's on the River

We were there from Nv to soend time with our grandaughter...had a great time.

Was not impressed, pool was to cold for my kids to get in, the hot tub was not working, heater in room would blow cold air , so room was not real warm and it was around 30 degrees, got up at 7 am for shower and had no hot water, pretty dissappointed at this place, called front desk , and was told i would get call back on hot water no call back, very un happy stay

I made the mistake of booking my stay here based upon the redlion name without reading the reviews first. Had i read the reviews first i would have stayed elsewhere. The only shining srar here is the staff was very helpful and friendly. I felt bad for the staff knowing they must take the brunt of the customers displeasure with the property itself. Lounge, and bar are nice. For the price i payed i expected much better. Please read reviews before deciding to book a stay here they are not untruths.

We had a wonderful mother daughter getaway night! The room was super clean, the team at the bar in the evening were wonderful and the lobby was fun! Thank you!

My biggest concern was for health. Despite a mask mandate for the county, all staff and most guests did not wear masks nor was there a sign about the mask mandate. When the staff came to clean my room, they did not have a mask on. I usually skipped cleaning but required a mask when they did enter. Select a national chain as they are more likely to enforce mask wearing. The rooms do not have coffee pots. I was lucky to be close to the lobby but it would have been really inconvenient otherwise, The hotel is very long and three levels. My refrigerator needed defrosting so I could only place two items in the freezer section.

Before we checked in I sent the hotel a message asking to have a balcony view because we were staying for our anniversary. when we arrived the check in process took forever because the person was new, totally understandable. Its what happened later that wasn't. when we arrived in our room, I noticed we didn't have a balcony view as requested. The bed was very uncomfortable, my wife and I both woke up in a lot of pain. The fridge in the room was leaking water everywhere and we couldn't keep anything cold. The room smelled extremely bad as well. Stay away from this place. Horrible service and crappy rooms.

Nothing wrong with the hotel except it is in Idaho. Staff member behind the desk made a disparaging comment re: (covid) masks. Mask wearing there is discouraged, not encouraged. Very few guests or staff wore masks. I cancelled my return trip booking and stayed in Liberty Lake, WA rather than set foot in this place again.

The room was not clean. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and so were the pillows. We left early and forfeited the money we paid for the full stay. We stayed at a local competitor and had a better stay.
