Riu Playacar All Inclusive

I had high expectations for this place and was very disappointed. Service is hit or miss. Luis in the Italian restaurant should be ashamed for his lack of customer service. Also the manager Fernando had poor service skills. Food is 5/10 at best at all restaurants. Food quality is poor. (Ribeye steak and chicken was paper thin.) Thin walls Small kids allowed at buffet so didn't work out well sanitation wise Seaweed on beach(they can't help that but it's a con)

I expected more from this hotel if it is a 5 star hotel If you are okay with eating chicken nuggets, hamburger and french fries with pizza go ahead and stay here. Thats all there was in the buffet the 3 days I stayed. It was very annoying that they started to take the salt and pepper 40 mins prior to the buffet ending time. They started the cleaning and just left pizza for the last hour! Really!!! Pizza??? Isnt it a 5 star. They didnt have cokes on a can! How? All the drinks were from the machine not good. The lady who was there to provide corn tortillas in the breakfast told me 2 days in a row. "Sorry there is none corn tortillas" I mean how can they not have something so basic and cheap?! Drinks at the bar were so so. The whisky was from an $8 bottle. I didnt expect black label but common something better then a cheap $8 bottle. Like I read on a previos review, this hotel is like a Motel 6 all inclusive. Cheap pillows, cheap toilet paper and etc. Two of the nights the cable didnt work nor the t.v. had to call the lobby for them to come and re-start the t.v. our room was 7207 by the way. Staff was friendly at check in, but I dont think I will ever stay on a Riu
