SureStay Hotel by Best Western San Diego Pacific Beach

Hotel was fine. The rooms were pretty small and our fridge smelled funky. Tons of noise and kind of sketchy people hanging around. We woke up to the sound of a yelping dog left alone in the room next to us at about 4:30am (it went on for about an hour). Would not stay here again.

The staff treats me well. The room is spacious.

I arrived to my hotel room and checked in, when we entered the room it reeked of weed, the room was a mess, trash cans were full, sink was covered in facial hair trimming, floors were muddy and had boot prints through the entire bathroom, no towels, sheets covered in food and blankets the the ground in the corner. When I spoke to the hotel manager they had no other rooms available so we had to take our bags back out of the room and vacate the room until they could clean it, so we had to leave for hours before we were able to come back to the room. After we returned it was cleaned, but the noise all through the entire night upstairs and next door was ridiculous. We signed paperwork saying we agreed to quiet hours and the entire night people were stomping around opening and closing their doors. I will never stay here again, and am so upset that nothing was done to improve our stay. I am attatching photos of the disgusting room we we paid for.

My stay has been amazing so far, starting with the most efficient check in process I've ever been apart of. I had the pleasure of being checked in by Jayson. He was friendly, extremely detail oriented and efficient. I think from start to finish the whole check in process from charge to signitures was maybe 6 minutes. I appreciate it because it had been a long day and I was ready to relax. Even running into Jayson going out to my car he asked "how everything was so far." It is because of people like Jayson that I know I will return and I will refer my family and friends to this very hotel. He treated us with respect and was personable all at the same time. I happen to be a travel consultant for AT&T wireless and United Airlines and i can't wait to rave about this hotel and Jayson to all my employees. He definitely needs a raise...

The man the helped us at the front desk was very nice and funny was the best customer service I had in a while

VERY CLEAN

The room was absolutely disgusting! It smelled terrible and there were grub addicts everywhere. The room was the size of a shoe box and the pillows were stained and dirty. Smelled as if they disinfected the room after there was a wild drug party in it. I cannot believe that any business can operate like that and rent rooms for this price when the hotels in the area are the same price for much much nicer rooms. The place just needs to be leveled and rebuilt. If I would have known that I was renting a room at a crack den I would have chosen differently. The photos on the website do not match the nastiness of this establishment. It’s just plain gross.

The room was not clean - especially the floors. Walked in my socks and they were grayish black after a couple of minutes. We had spilled some water on the floor and we used a towel, which was filthy with black dirt. The caulking around the tub was black. Toilet seat was broken and kept sliding off. The noise from guest above our room were very noisy at 5:00 am. We could hear their conversation and they stomped their feet - very thin space between ceiling and floor! Not a restful night. There was an unusual odor as well - not pleasant at all.

Amazing stay. Staff was very friendly and helped me and my family with any problems we had.
