Happy that we got a booking here for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. It’s situated in an apparently posh area surrounded with posh shops. The Metro 2 & 6 lines stop here @ Louis which makes the hotel accessible any time. It’s a short, safe walk from the Metro, which can take you to many points in the city. The hotel ambience is unique, very artsy with numerous photographs framing the interior. Even the room has a gigantic photograph to frame the bed. Needless to say, expect a feeling of being in an artist’s studio—dark walls and painted metal pipes as hardware. We were in one of the rooms on the highest floor so we had to take the elevator to the 4th and climb a flight of stairs to the 5th. No big deal. The only thing was the creaky floor and how it got really warm and incredibly stuffy in our room. We were recommended to turn down our radiators but it just might be all the heat emanating from the lower floors. Nevertheless, beds were comfortable; our family was happy to be safe and sound. Their bathroom was a nice size and more importantly, clean and decent. Housekeeping was also prompt, even showing up on the first day of the year! We didn’t get to try their breakfast but we did purchase beer from their bar!
Vey new and vey clean hotel. The quality of the towels and bedding is very good. The location is in the middle of the shopping ares which is ok. For the main attractions you need to walk 20 min. We definetely would stay here next time.
Great hotel. Decent location, which although was not in the tourist center of town, was by a lot of high-end shopping in a more local neighborhood. Staff were professional and friendly. Room and furnishings were top-notch, with good attention to comfort and style.
Way too expensive given the offer. I expect 4 star quality for 370$. This was more a nice 2 &1/2 stars. Value for the money (1 to 5 with 5 being best) 1. It should be in the $100 range. It's Comfort Inn level.
The building was not designed as a hotel so I woke up when people passed by the room, the design is bare bones, with a cheap bed and a terrible hair dryer.
Clean room with Nice design. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good with Nice breakfastcorner. What spoiled it for us was the creaking floor and poor sound insulation which made it impossible to sleep the moment your neighbours up/down or next to you arrived or woke up.
This was definitely not worth $217/nt!!! It’s minimalist IKEA furniture with little hospitality. Only given one bottle water in room during 2nt stay; room tidy and bathroom clean; need to carry luggage up stairs to room (no help offered); check-in appeared like I was bothering them when I arrived. Not welcoming. Again I would NOT spend $217/nt for this hotel again. Disappointed. Perk->location.
as we were taking the elevator to go to our room on the 5th flr, the elevator broke down and we were stock inside for approx. 12 min. our two small children were terrified and crying. it got so hot inside the elevator and we were all scared. We didn't know if the help/emergency botton worked or not, so was used our cellphone to call the front office. He said we have to wait till he reset it. it was a nightmare, specially with our kids inside. We got out, all sweaty and scared and all the guy offered was if we want water, which we didn't take. He didn't even feel bad a bit about what happened. I was very upset about it. we didn't take the elevator anymore. We got to our room only to find out that even the AC is not working. the room was very dark and everything was just shoved in. Our king size bed was two twin size mattresses put together which was separating annoyingly. the kids sofa bed was so uncomfortable. it felt like he wires were sticking out.The front office was not really knowledgeable either. I am so glad it was any one night that we stayed there. Will not recommend it to any one , specially families.
The Kodak theme of this hotel was very interesting. Room and bathroom were spacious. Staffs were pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.
Tasteless corny design, overloaded with details. Rude and unprofessional staff at reception. But beds very clean.
