Holiday Inn Oxford

I am absolutely 100% disappointed we couldn't stay due to covid19 and having to stay in are Bubble wouldn't refund me or change to another time i would never book again through you

Hotel easy to find and get to from motorway/Oxford town centre. Check-in was quick and staff were observing COVID-19 guidelines, with information provided on extra measures taken by the hotel. The room itself was very spacious, and the WiFi is free, fast and easy to access. All amenities were already in the room and extras readily available from reception. The lighting in the room could be improved although this isn’t a big issue - there are plenty of small lights around the room, but none on the ceiling.

The hotel was okay and fine used as a base however a few things we felt dampened our stay were when we arrived, we checked in and the man gave us our room number, walked off and didn’t direct us how to get to the room so we spent a while trying to locate it. The first morning, we were woken up at 6.45 by the cleaner bursting in. We had locked the door and put the chain on but she came bursting through trying to open it, shouting ‘housekeeping at the top of her voice’ after a long drive the day before, we weren’t impressed being woken so early. We then didn’t see the cleaner again, our room wasn’t cleaned once during our stay. It also wasn’t a great first impression, when we first arrived and went to park, right near the entrance there was a car with the windows smashed and glass everywhere

Clean, comfortable room. Polite staff. It's a good option if you want to visit Oxford.

The staff were very good and helpful but obviously they were short staffed. Issues that we were not made available beforehand was no housekeeping and bar and restaurant closed. I would think that this was due to cost control rather than any Covid issue which is not good enough. Evening meals were room service only but therefore I think the tray charge therefore was unacceptable. My suggestion is to avoid this hotel (where we have stayed several times before). It used to be a very good hotel with good meals and a swimming pool (now demolished) but I now cannot recommend it over a Travel lodge/Premier inn.

Lovely friendly receptionist who was also responsibile for the cleaning of the rooms. The welcome was great and so was leaving the following day. You could tell she enjoyed her job.

A lovely clean and comfortable room, at a very good price.

Very happy as usual with holiday inn. The staff are always helpfull and everything is as i would hope .

Excellent hotel for visiting Oxford and the Cotswolds Unfortunately some facilities not available due to the virus but they have done everything to make your stay a good one

Our stay was disturbing by the level of noise on our floor. Doors constantly slamming by the staff. People running up and down the halls without anyone enforcing the rules. Bad night sleep because of this.
