Staybridge Suites West Des Moines

We checked into the hotel and was greeted by Micheal! He is a pleasant front desk worker! We checked into the first room and had to be transferred into a different room across the hall bc the air conditioning wasn’t working in that room but Micheal handled it very well. After finally settling into our second room I cane back down and asked him on suggestions on where to eat in Jordan Creek area since we have never been there. He had no problem suggesting places at all and he is super friendly and so easy to talk to. Matter of fact he is a great asset to this company. He is a keeper! Every place he suggested we did manage to try and it was a successful dine out experience! So thank you Micheal. I even brought Micheal back a piece of Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory to thank him for all his hard work! Anyhow on to the rest of our review. I also mentioned to Micheal after we were moved to the second room that the floor was severely stained and the carpet was coming up where the carpet met the tile. I took pictures beforehand so I was not charged for it after I left. There were also some holes in the furniture. The conditioner bottle was empty in the shower.The window didn’t lock. The beds were comfortable, the shower pressure was amazing. But the service from the front desk, and the few interactions I had with housekeeping made it worth the stay. This hotel just needs some major updating. Location is great! Beautiful water park behind it.

Clean and good location in West Des Moines also family friendly

Our room's tv didn't work then our phone would not work to call the desk. And the hot tub, which was a draw to stay here, was broken. I called on my cell phone to the front desk and I got no answer. So I walked down to get a room change. And for breakfast we came down at 845, we were told all the breakfast sandwiches were gone. So all in all staff was nice but it was disaapinting for our stay

Clean and sanitized. Aware of needed safety measures that are now part of normal life. Comfy beds. Breakfast was pick up and go. Could have refilled items, especially the microwaveable breakfast sandwiches. Didn't get new towels or trash dumped, so did complain about that, since we were in a suite with 6 people and hotel trash cans are tiny. Overall, a good place for the budget. The kitchenette was very handy with our group size.

It was nice and the rooms were clean. Very heavy bleach smell. Front desk people were polite and helpful.

Absolutely fabulous place and location. So welcoming to pets. Lovely pet walk area and poop station. Great restaurants around. Since breakfast is closed due to COVID restrictions, offering items that are packaged. Unfortunately, only two muffins and one danish available at 630am on a Saturday morning. No coffee creamer in rooms. Plenty of coffee and juice. Rooms quite large and great soap and toiletries. Extra selection of TV and DVD in room.

Room smelled Smokey. Check in took over 30 minutes. One person ahead of me. Dark and dingy.

Covid 19 precautions were needed n effect. But always great staff and nice room

Our stay at Staybridge Suites was overall good. The room was clean. The room was is need of several repairs. The security lock on the inside of the door was broken and did not work. The toilet handle was also broken, toilet could still flush with broken handle. Overall room was run down in appearance but spacious and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet. The breakfast was great. There was a large group of older teenagers that were disrespectful and rude in the pool, my 3 younger daughters did not feel comfortable swimming in the pool with them so we left after only 20 minutes of pool time. Overall I would stay again given the size of the room and the good breakfast selection. Would be even better of the rooms were refurbished and minor maintenance taken care of.
