Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Houston Downtown

The lamp next to the bed didn’t work due to the socket not working; there was no ice; the light over the entry into the restroom blinked on and off all night; the ceiling fan had one speed- low; the freezer in the refrigerator was so packed with ice, I thought I was in Alaska. But as the saying goes-you get what you pay for. I have seen much better places with lower rates that are much more nicer than this. I will never- ever stay at another America’s best value inn and suites.

It was a nice place rate was a little high for the area location was good though and property was clean and well kept

Check in was super easy and quick.

Holes in bedspread, ice machine didn't work, strangelu complicated tv remote, breakfast an hour late, lots of highway noise, run-down condition.

This place looks nothing like the pictures. STAY AWAY. Also way too pricey for the conditions here. Towels were dirty looking, absolutely the cheapest soap and toiletries. The supposed breakfast tasted and looked like they were using the same food recycled from the weekend. No milk for the cereal, the rooms walls were cracked and repaired by someone who obviously didn't know what they were doing. And finally the whole side of the hotel is falling off the foundation so the room is literally tilted!!! If Harvey ruined the foundation and lower level walls and sheet-rock, then the Owner/Operators should make dang sure the amenities are tip-top. They obviously don't care to stay in business.

Great customer service, clean room and in a good neighborhood

Noisy, outdated, just to stay 1 night and keep moving

I fully realized I was staying at an inexpensive motel to save my organization money on this business trip. It was a fully functional room; however, two experiences I found very disturbing and unsanitary: - I woke up to find a cockroach in the bathroom (at least it was dead; indicates the property does use pest control products and services) - I didn’t notice this when I checked in, but inside my room door, a few inches from the handle, there was brownish smeared staining that appeared to be either blood, chocolate, or excrement. Regardless of which, this is simply unacceptable and unsanitary.

Me and my boyfriend found a razor in the toilet bowl. So the toilet didn’t wanna flush, we also found blood stains on the sheets in the bed.

I really enjoyed the stay at this place had awesome experience. Ms. Wendy was very helpful and went out of her way to help me.
