Mix up with room type upon arrival, but cannot fault attitude and friendliness of reception team to resolve the issue. Great hotel in excellent location

Very poor hotel for the price. Poor car parking then had to pay for car parking not included in the price Poor amount of car parking spaces drove round the car park for at least 45 minutes in circles trying to find a space to be told after I could park on the double yellow lines. Poor check in rude staff. The hotel was meant to be Covid safe but the hotel did not ensure wall staff wore the correct PPE of a face mask. Poor compliance with ensuring other guests wore face masks especially in communal used areas :(. Felt very unsatisfied to not see staff challenging guests despite signs displayed. Basic provisions in the room non existent no sugar or hot chocolate. No water supplied either. Poor cleanliness dead flies in the bathroom and on the floor in the bedroom area. Other guests belongings left in the cupboard possible even a face mask this should of been removed. No example checklist left of what had been cleaned or not. Bathroom very Poorly cleaned. Marks on the bedside table and the table area from the previous occupants drinks. No information given about room service or local information ie about taxis given or the night service at the hotel. No room service information provided Breakfast not all guests advised to wear masks despite signs staff not advising saying so. I thought this hotel would be special. For a special birthday celebration. Out of a week staying in different hotels I thought as the most expensive this would be great not at all.

Terrible hotel not worth the money it’s more Like one star hotel

Staff were exceptionally helpful and genuinely pleasant. There must be a great process for recruitment and training because everyone we encounted were very personable, positive, efficient but also took the time to chat. Facilities are immaculate but it was the quality of the people we will remember.

We booked last minute as Covid cancelled our other plans for the weekend, and decided to book a junior suite as a treat. Considering this is the most expensive room we were very disappointed. It was very dirty and appeared that no one had cleaned it in a long time. The window sills and walls were stained in places and there was a toothbrush head stuck in the sink. The room overall was run down and did not include the extras as promised (nespresso machine and mineral water). The hotel were understanding of our complaint but that does not really make up for the disappointment. I would not recommend a stay here.

Lovely stay. All the food groups and bars possible in the area!! Would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room though

Stunning hotel, however the bar stop serving at 8.45 and closed at 9.15!! No food after 8.30. Ended up ordering an Uber eats!

Beautiful building, friendly atmosphere, alot to do near by, walking distance to alot of places such as city centre, gardens etc. Only thing that slightly let them down was it wasnt the cleanest room we've stayed in, just looks like its had a quick wipe down rather than clean, there were rose petals under the bed ( not from us ) which could be seen as we were sat on the chair, thick dust around edges of all furniture and lamps, make up on wall of shower and bathroom door. We were not advised as to when breakfast was available, where to go for meals, entertainment available or even how to get to our room, which we've had at all other hotels. But lovely place to be and some staff were very helpful and polite.
