Doubletree by Hilton Hattiesburg, MS

I’ve stayed here several times before and I was happy with my stay. I booked here so we could have room service and use the indoor pool. Upon checking in, I was told the restaurant was closed and the pool heater was broken. They said housekeeping wouldn’t be available every day, which was fine. But we were there 4 days and they never came. I got fresh towels at the front desk, but no toiletries, no clean sheets, no trash removal. I asked for two bottles of water at the front desk. The clerk asked if I was a Hilton Honors member and I said yes. She asked for my number, which I didn’t have with me. So she said I would have to pay extra for the waters. That never happened before. You would think with all the money they’re saving on housekeeping they could afford a bottle of water. This experience at the Doubletree was totally different from my previous stays, and extremely disappointing.

Our one night was very comfortable and very clean. Stickers everywhere stating disinfectant wiped and sprayed even the my hotel door had a big blue sticker. I felt very safe from germs. I would stay there again

The hotel didn’t clean everyday so I had to ask for clean towels. For the price I paid, breakfast should have been included. The hotel room was alright, nothing spectacular.

While the motel was generally in good condition, the toilet was loose on it's foundation. Not only that, but the cleanliness of the hallways and elevators left a LOT to be desired. For instance; It appeared that the floors had not been vacuumed in days, and the elevator floor had residue of something being spilled days prior and not mopped up. The was trash overflowing in all the trash receptacles outside to elevator doors that had been there for at least 2 days (judging by the date stamp on a food container). With the trash of course was the odor emanating from it. Other than that, it was "ok".

The location is convenient but not many dining choices close by. A short drive is required. The staff was very good and we found the place pretty clean. The property is somewhat dated but everything worked.

Nice room, very clean. I was a little close to the main hallway and could hear suitcases rolling early in the morning, but otherwise it was very good. I would stay again as this is on my regular route to visit my family in texas.

The stay was great, the linens were especially nice. Excellent room for the price, very clean.

Beautiful hotel, convenient to most things in Hattiesburg.
