Hotel Spero

The hotel was a beautiful and very pleasing to the eye. The hotel lobby is stunning and decorated beautifully for the holidays. They provided little welcome kits that included gloves, mask, sanitizer and other goodies. They also offered another treat bag that included fresh fruit, a tumbler and other treats. Sanitizer was available at every elevator entrance and the lobbies entrances had motion sensing doors that would automatically open when leaving. On the outside you could press the handicap button to open the door. I loved both these features because it limited people touching the doors. Now what wasn't pleasing was the location of the hotel. There were a lot of homeless people and people with mental disabilities surrounding the blocks of the property however they stayed to themselves a some were very polite so while walking during the day and night, I felt safe. I told my friend, you can't judge a book by its library. This hotel was truly a diamond in the rough. There was a security on site and the restaurant, Jaspers was quick and delicious! The decor in the room was perfect. I felt more like a modern home feel vs. a hotel feel. The staff was very warm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Was initially thrown off when Siri toon us through the tenderloin where there are people in tents on the side however around the corner is completely different. Great hotel in convenient location.

This hotel is perfect. The staff was friendly and provided whatever I needed upon request. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is very nice and provides great customer service. They go above and beyond to make your stay special. Also, the restaurant is really good.

The room was as pictured. Nice, good size and clean but the lobby wasn’t too great. Needs some renovation. The neighborhood is sketchy to say the least. Lots of homeless and drug addicts. We should have gotten a hint when they gifted us with ear plugs at check in. Ambulance and police sirens all night long.

I liked this hotel within itself. The view is kind of a lie because the windows are so dirty and small you really don't get to take in the whole view. Parking is incredibly expensive (and fairly far) and the attendants do not help with the "special rates" that allow in and out privileges. You'd also think there'd be some discount since they "partner" with the hotel. There's a good amount of homeless people that you encounter on your drive/ walk up. It's in downtown so it's right in the thick of it. They do a good job by making sure they're not directly in front of the building but they are visible and it makes the experience feel a little uneasy. Windows are a little loud so you can hear street traffic until street traffic stops.

This hotels only amenity is the fitness center and thats all. They charge a resort fee daily and have no valet and the homeless are very prominent in downtown so it was a bit scary to walk around

The hotel was great but I was displeased that parking was not provided by Hotel. We had to park in a public lot a block away from hotel.
