Loud at night with sounds from neighboring rooms as well as street noise, car alarms, etc. I parked on the street outside of the hotel and was a little nervous about that but didnt want to pay for the valet service.
I had a great stay here. Here is a better analysis: A. Pros: - Not far from downtown/union station. - Within few mins of waling from convention center tram station. For commuting to/from/in downtown, I recommend taking TRIMET adult pass ($5/day/person) - Property was clean, with sanitizers in the lobby area - Room was spacious and clean - Hotel priced reasonably - Though parking is expensive at the hotel, I parked near 298 NE Lioyd Blvd (<10 min walking from hotel) with ~$11/day. B. Cons: - Parking is not included, you have to pay few tens of bucks to park at the hotel. However, if you are smart enough you can find really cheap parking nearby. - Microwave is not included in the room. This should be updated on the Orbitz website. Orbiyz staff can confirm this with the hotel too. We had to use the Microwave in the lobby area, which I personally didn't like due to COVID situation. C. Some additional stuff suggested for the hotel: - Put hand sanitizers in the hallways of each floor. - Put microwaves in the room or update the website accordingly.
1. Parking is $35. Street parking is free till 8am so make sure you get up, in your jammies, go downstairs, outside in the cold and add the money so you don’t get a ticket. 2. No microwave so have to request. Maybe extra??? I don’t know. 3. No hot breakfast or free so you have to pay. $3 cup of 8 oz coffee (just go to Starbucks)
You have to pay for on-site parking, 35 dollars. 35 dollars for parking is just terrible in addition to your hotel price.
Arrived to no one at the front desk, had to wait for someone to get there (valet person stated they had to go upstairs for something)...then to find out parking was 32 bucks. Just over the top pricing. But ok. The thing that is really annoying was to wake up and go to make coffee and to see the ONE packet of regular coffee was actually empty. The package was opened and there was nothing in it. So I went downstairs in search of coffee and find out it’s 3 bucks a cup. No complimentary guest coffee. That’s a first for me and I travel A LOT! I was honestly shocked and just annoyed that there’s such Penny pinching. So I asked the girl at the front desk for a pod to make my own and explained how there were none in my room, only the opened one. Her response, “that’s just weird”. And she said that multiple times. Yes—I’m aware that is odd. But likely that means your cleaning service needs to be a bit more thorough. So NO apology...maybe offer one of the non-complimentary cups free of charge? Anything. But nope. So for 100 bucks 32 bucks for parking nightly, I expect a more. Lesson learned-I won’t be back.
The check in staff was very friendly and welcoming, great job:), we enjoyed our stay, staying 2 nights 10/23,24, on a casual long weekend stay, we had drinks at the bar both night and the bartender/server was so friendly and fun. I would recommend this place, it was very clea, comfortable and welcoming.
The staff was so pleasant and helpful. Everything was sparkling clean The thing I feel bad about is the valet was so helpful and I forgot to give him a good tip.
Nice location, very walkable to our son's apartment. Desk staff was particularly friendly and helpful! Nice room.
Valet parking is like $32 a night. So I choose to park in the street. Hours between 8am-10pm, it’s $1 per hour , which was done with me because I was hardly ever there. Because of the pandemic sadly, the jacuzzi was not open. It was walking distance from a 7 Eleven as well as coffee shops and some food places.
The worst part was the location near MAX or the street cleaning early Sunday morning.
