The Tremont Chicago Hotel at Magnificent Mile

Be careful when parking at the hotel. Overnight at the restaurant is $40 - it is $67 at the hotel - the staff of the hotel said it’s a privately owned valet company who does not post their rates The 12.99 breakfast at Ditka’s is a good deal given the pricing and limited availability of sit down breakfast spots in the area...although there is a Starbucks across the street if that’s all you want. The rooms are old and small as most Chicago hotels are, but the mattresses are not bent out of shape and the linens are new.

Older property not really well maintained. Front desk personnel more like prison wardens.No frills to speak of yet you'll be charged an "amenities fee". Just a cheap, tricky move to make their rate appear lower when it really isn't.

location is epic, hotel condition not bad and bed's are very clean and comfortable.

Classic hotels are wonderful but this place is WORN and sadly in need of upgrade. Nonetheless the location is perfect and the beds extremely comfortable. The $15 fee for bottled water and toiletries (whether you use them or not) left a bad taste in my mouth.

We were only at the Tremont one night so it was adequate for an overnight stay. We stayed here a year ago so we knew what to expect to some degree. It is an older hotel but the condition seems to have declined and just didn’t have a clean “feel” even though there was nothing obvious wrong with the room.
