Baymont by Wyndham Louisville East

We stayed for an overnight stay on our anniversary weekend. The location is very good for shopping and dining. The room was very nice and a great value.

I've always sought out Baymont Hotels to stay at while traveling since they NORMALLY offer a good mixture of cleanliness, features, comfort and price. That's what I was expecting from this Baymont. That's NOT what I got. What I got felt like an OLD Motel 6 that had renamed. Furniture pieces were worn out, the table rocked, the Wardrobe had much of it's all of it's trim around the door removed at some point to hide the fact that some of the trim was missing. There was an old TV with a off brand remote. The single contact I had with staff was at check in and the clerk was pleasant and helpful. Overall, I was highly disappointed with this Baymont. While I will still consider Baymonts to stay at I will look at each one more closely before staying at one again. PS, I do not usually bother writing reviews either positive or negative. I was just so disappointed with this Baymont and Expedia chided me into writing one, so here it is.

Was over booked so my King bed was swapped for what felt like a twin, but was a full. Staff was pleasant as always. There were protesters from out of town staying there so it was a all night party. Doors slamming constantly, and people talking loudly. I have stayed here many times before but never experienced this behavior from other guests before. Staff was literally telling people in advance they were sorry.

I have stayed at the hotel several times in the past. Due to COVID, a lot of things have changed with this time around. The lobby was closed off to guests completely, which I also assumed meant there was no breakfast service. Any areas outside of your own room were warm/hot as it appears the hotel is not maintaining AC. This includes the elevator, entrance and floors (I was on the third floor). In addition to this, there was not daily housekeeping service. I am typically okay with this as I usually do not need it. During my stay, housekeeping showed up on Saturday (I didn't have a DND sign). I appreciated that they were wearing face masks. I feel this lack of regular service affected the overall cleanliness of the room. It was relatively clean, but there were areas that were missed. I found hairs on the blow-dryer and remnants of shaving cream close by it. Overall, I needed to place to stay with dealing with a death in the family. I have had mostly good experiences with this girl in the past, so I am giving it the benefit of the doubt. This current pandemic situation is taxing on everything, so I am sure corners are being cut both for safety and financial concerns. I'm willing to stay again in the future.

Unkept, bushes overgrown, weeds everywhere, Room clean, Morning staff clueless, NO COFFEE
