Check-in was slow...one clerk and 10 people in the lobby. He seemed fairly disinterested in the whole process. WiFi went out on Sunday, parking garage is dodgy. Bed was comfy, room very clean, and the heater worked great! Bathroom had been recently updated.

I was able to reserve a room only three days in advance while making a late adjustment to my itinerary for a trip to Monterey. The 24-hour lobby was a major factor in my hotel selection. I checked in after midnight for an overnight stay. The staff was friendly and attentive. Both the guest room and the common areas were spotless. The guest room furniture is a bit outdated and the interior could use some modernizing, but everything was in working order and the accommodations are definitely serviceable. The continental breakfast was well-stocked and maintained, and the reading material in the lobby (perused over breakfast) was current and proved useful for finding local and regional activities.
