Four Seasons Resort - Nevis

Nevis itself is beautiful and relatively unspoiled. We snorkeled, golfed, beach swam and took the Funky Monkey tour. The staff at the Four Seasons is top notch and friendly. The room was nice and the housekeeping staff were perfect. The food was excellent but felt a bit overpriced. There was a corporate outing at the hotel and the only problem with it is that they close some pools and restaurants to other visitors while the corporate groups have them. The golf course is gorgeous and well laid out but too dry and needs water. The hotel could do a better job of arranging outings for the guests. I kind of felt like they try to keep you on premises too hard — we wanted an island tour and had to find and book our own. We wanted to go on a catamaran and they could not arrange. We didn’t see any excursions to anywhere. Snorkeling was on the hotel taxi boat and not a real snorkeling expert. Overall it is good enough for the relative remoteness but there Is room for improvement.

The hotel staff was very friendly! The property is becoming a bit dated but very clean. We do wish there were more hotel activities to choose from. We often felt ourselves with nothing to do in the afternoon because the evening music didn’t start until 9 or later. Yoga on the beach or early afternoon entertainment would have been. Ice for those of us who rise early and go to bed early.

Be prepared to charter (for convenience) the hotel's service to and from the property from St. Kitts for an additional $340 per couple. If you are looking at the Four Seasons in Nevis, you can't be concerned about budgets. If you want to be budget conscious, look elsewhere. Initially, it's hard to transition from the business world of budgets/costs to the resort. Expect to pay $100 for a casual meal. Things aren't any better off the resort at nice restaurants. The staff is wonderful. We casually mentioned it would be nice to have chairs facing the peak on the entrance to the room...breeze was good there...and next thing you know....chairs appeared. Be prepared to drop bills all over for tips. (The nice thing to do.) The locals appreciate the hospitality in reverse and they are nice. Tourism is their revenue. The resort offers transportation throughout the island, not too many rental car services (they aren't necessary.) My wife and I do not play golf, but the golf "tour" of the course was wonderful. The General Manager greeted us at the dock, and is visible throughout the stay. First class all the way. Monkeys entertained us. The resort waters are tranquil and clear. Golf and tennis are great because the winds are calmer on this side of the island. The views are beautiful...everywhere you look. Weather was always wonderful. I'd go again there in a heartbeat. We didn't visit St. Kitts, the Four Seasons was wonderful. Don't expect crowds here and the place is beautiful.

Always in season for beauty and comfort here

For much of the stay, the resort was quite empty, with more staff than guests, but allowed a level of personal service and serenity uncommon. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. The food is good, but so expensive! And things like exercise classes for $75 or massage for $300 seem high, even for 4 Seasons. The beach, the pools, the grounds are all terrific, and the one night when we had entertainment, it was beyond amazing, with a singer with the best voice I have ever witnessed live. We very much enjoyed our stay there as a couple, and would consider returning, possibly with a large family trip.

The hospitality at Four Seasons Nevis was outstanding. The staff was super friendly, super accommodating and had attitudes of service, made me feel, as a guest, like they wanted me to be there and make my experience wonderfulc which it was. The actual hotel was beautiful, yes, they’re under going construction, but so is my street and town, but there is t a beautiful beach, sun and a warm breeze and Nevis peak to admire on my street. We stayed in a renovated room and it was very generous with space and view. We are already planning our return to this special little island, Nevis and staying at the Four Season’s there.
