Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort

My wife and I stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort for 10 nights in November 2019, our second stay at this hotel. We arrived around 12 PM and intended to leave our bags before grabbing lunch and checking-in at 3 PM, but were pleasantly surprised to be told our room was ready and we could check-in immediately. This was a great start to our holiday. The room was a Partial Ocean View room on the 5th floor on the Moana Surfrider side of the hotel. The view of the ocean was indeed partial, but we cannot complain about this since it was exactly as advertised. We were close enough to the beach to have a good view of what was going on down there and could watch the Na Hoku II and Mauna Kai catamarans coming and going. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for the two of us, and the housekeeping staff were friendly. The hotel is ideally located on Waikiki beach and close to shops on Kalakaua Ave. We enjoyed dining at the Hula Grill, and at Duke's in both the casual and fine dining areas, all conveniently located on site. We enjoyed our second stay at the hotel and plan to return.

We had an ocean view room which was wonderful. Lifts were extremely slow which most people I spoke with commented on. Cocktails and music at Dukes were fabulous. Bellboy staff were extremely helpful and the hotel is in a great location. A big thank you to Russell for his help with a problem we had. Thank you.

Clean, comfortable room right on the beach. Loved Duke’s beach bar and restaurant downstairs. Valets were very helpful. Hotel stores had a great selection. The property is in the middle of the strip so there is a lot going on with lots of people

The hotel was nice but I don’t appreciate being charged extra for hotel service fee at $35 a day! Wasn’t I already paying for service in the high nightly fee. Plus beware the ride to and from the airport is another $45 each way. Little things no one mentions! Lastly it is extremely noisy almost all night. Street vendors screaming into PA systems.

Purchased stay from Hotels.com. Thought I had a good rate until I checked in and was told we were subject to an additional $35 per night resort fee. Kinda felt ripped off. Shame on me for not checking.... Shame on hotels.com for not being honest about the actual cost.
