Thon Hotel Trondheim

Well positioned place to stay in Trondheim. A good shower with plenty of hot water. Great hot and cold breakfast buffet.

Thon Hotel Trondheim was in a great central location. Easily walking distance to Nidarosdomen and also to Trondheim Central Station, not to mention that the hotel was in the same complex as Trondheim Torg shopping center. The staff was helpful and the hotel room was kept in great condition. The hotel breakfast included in my room price was also amazing and there was a large variety of hot and cold food and drink options. I can see myself staying here again when I visit Trondheim again in the future.

The location is perfect! There is a shopping mall next door. McDonald's opens til 4am on Friday and Saturday so no worries you get hungry when night out on weekend. Walking distance to sightseeing like Nidaros Cathedral, The Old Town, even central mean street. They have great breakfast options which you won't be disappoint. And they even have a coffee machine at lobby so you can have free coffee anytime you want! Definitely recommend stay here!

Excellent location- near all the Trondheim attractions, short walk to main railway station, supermarket only a couple of minutes away. 25 minutes walking time to Lerkendal Stadion. Nice restaurants al around the hotel. Room size for single room was good with all I needed. Wifi was excellent and breakfast was much better than most hotels I have stayed at.

Highly recommended for a short stay. Great breakfast spread, friendly staff, free coffee/tea in lobby, and central to all the attractions.

Perfectly located by the city Square (which is presently under reconstruction) this a pleasant bright hotel. Our room wasn't big but was reasonably comfortable with great bed, good sized TV and decent bathroom. Breakfast is taken on the 3rd floor with good selection. We were pleased to see a guest laundry on the 6th floor and free to use. Parking in Trondheim is expensive. It costs Nok240 for 24 hours in a nearby car park. The Irish pub next to the hotel provides a good meal. The hotel backs on to a big shopping mall.

We stayed at this hotel on 15th June and found everything to be excellent. The location was good and an easy walk from the train station. The person on reception was very pleasant despite us being over 3 hours late in arriving due to rail disruptions! Lovely room and breakfast and I was also impressed to learn that they had self-service laundry facilities. Would stay again and definitely recommend.

Single room with one twin bed was very small, small room and small bathroom with very small shower..amazingly bad view into a sad backyard, and had to go to another hotel for breakfast, very overcrowded and got only seat with others after waiting in a cew..bad experience, will find another place next time.
