Everyone was friendly and the overall hotel is amazing!
Understaffed. Staff was friendly but check in was frustrating, they had no record of my reservation, had to remind them of a few items missing. Checking out, the tried to charge me for the stay when it had been Pre paid. Dinner on site was okay, didn’t have items on the menu, no dessert options. Waiting 20 minutes for the check.
The hotel was beautiful. The drinks were amazing. We were hoping to enjoy the rooftop bar but the restaurant downstairs needed him to work down there.
Loud street noise in late hours.
We were so happy with this hotel and our stay here. Parking downtownish area is usually expensive. They only offer valet parking on friday/saturday at $40, but half a block away there is a parking area that the hotel has arrangements for that is only $20 for 24hrs to come and go. It worked out great. The location of the hotel was also great. Easy to get to, had lots of pokestops/pokemon gyms in reach for pokemon go ;). The staff were above and beyond helpful. We had food delivered multiple times and after it would get dropped off at the front desk, they would bring it up to us. As well as helping me with a few unorthodox requests like a screwdriver. The one downside was that the very large and nice TV was hooked to the wall, but the hdmi ports were located on the backside. So you are not able to hook up your own video games, or streaming services device. We just brought a TV to remedy that, which they helped carry to our room for us. The room itself was massive. We stayed in the junior (which had a king side bed) suite. It was much larger than the pictures online showed. The couch was actually pretty comfy and spacious. The bed was a pillowtop medium firm, and we both slept well considering its not the beds we are used to. The shower was absolutely amazing. The toilet was separated from the sink/shower so you could have someone using it while someone else was getting ready. Will definitely try to stay here again for future trips.
Well arrived a little late to the hotel to try and check in. Walked in and immediately was a terrible experience. I started by asking for a safe place to park and was told good luck. Then I attempted to check in and they kept asking me all these covid questions because I was an out of state guest. I answered the questions but they kept hassling me about having a negative covid test which there would be no way I had been driving for the last few days. They didn't want to give me a room so then I asked for a refund and said that they couldn't do that either. Then I asked to speak with a manager and the receptionist said they were the manager. I ended up leaving and driving 4 1/2 hours to Chicago where I was able to check in no issues. Just as an update: when I got home I took a Rapid Covid test and the results were negative.
This staff was accommodating and very kind. On point and anticipating my needs. The room atmosphere was exactly as displayed in the images of the site. The hotel pillows were very uncomfortable and hard to sleep on. The bathroom toiletries had a few that where already used and not full.
First, made to feel welcomed and well served by Rooftop bartender, Christopher. This was followed by a great conversation about the hotel and its name with Brian Parrott, Food & Bev. Manager. Brian also gave us great "to do" ideas about the city. Finally, when we left the Valet/Bellman wouldn't take a tip because he told us that it was his pleasure to meet sweet people like me and my wife. Who does that?? But it is ALL employees- whatever their CS training program is, it's working. They are clearly hiring people who want to be there! BRAVO!! We'll BE BACK and spread the word. What a gem in downtown St. Louis!! Also, unique decorating and room furnishings. Not like a cookie cutter hotel which is great. Absolutely the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. You WILL NOT REGRET your stay at this hotel!!!
Beautiful building, great service and lovely downtown loCation.
