    Nørrebro Bryghus

Would you like to taste beer from a trailblazer of Danish beer culture?

Come inside and taste unique and experimental beer at Nørrebro Bryghus on Ryesgade in Nørrebro. The brew house was founded in 2003, and it's therefore Denmark’s first microbrewery. The great success of Nørrebro Bryghus was a catalyst for the wave of small Danish breweries.

Nørrebro Bryghus is located in an old factory building from 1857. It’s home to an organic restaurant on the first floor and a thirst-quenching beer bar in the basement, which form a beautiful symbiosis. The food at the restaurant is inspired by Nordic cuisine and its raw ingredients, but it's also based on the beer at the brew house. Much like the food at the restaurant, the beer is also organic.

The only bar in Denmark with the beer equivalent to the Michelin star

Do you love a good pub? Then you will certainly love Charlie’s Bar! This little beer bar is full of genuine English pub atmosphere, to such an extent that the proper way to toast is ‘cheers, mate’.

The beer bar – or more correctly, the bodega – is decorated in true English style, and there is just as much variation among the clientele as there is in the 18 different kinds of beer, which are served on draught. Make sure to try their ‘cask ale’ before you go. Charlie’s Bar is the only bar in Denmark that received the coveted ‘Cask Marque’ award, which is the UK’s equivalent to the Michelin star for beer bars.
