Maidstone has plenty of shops & places to eat. We even found a barge that is a cafe on The river Medway( straight down to the bottom of the High St ) where we sat in the sunshine watching the boats & Kayaks passing

As avid cyclists, we were quite pleased to see some cycling lanes while walking around. And , the area was quite green.

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Orida and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the friendly and attentive staff made me feel welcome and valued. Their professionalism and willingness to assist with any request truly stood out, enhancing my overall experience.
The hotel boasts a fantastic swimming pool, perfect for relaxation after a long day of exploring. It was well-maintained and provided a serene atmosphere, making it a highlight of my stay. Additionally, the gym was equipped with modern equipment, allowing me to maintain my fitness routine while away from home.
One of the significant advantages of this hotel is its convenient location. Situated in [mention location specifics, it offered easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and shopping, making it an ideal base for my travels.
Parking was also hassle-free, with ample space available, which is a rarity in many hotels today. This feature made my stay even more comfortable, as I didn’t have to worry about finding a spot after a day of sightseeing.
Overall, Orida exceeded my expectations in every aspect. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a blend of comfort, convenience, and top-notch service. I look forward to my next visit!"

"Really friendly welcome at reception and we quickly got our keys for two twin rooms. The rooms were fine, clean and comfortable.
We used the hotel to stay overnight before a Channel Tunnel crossing which was just 10 minutes away.
It was the cheapest hotel that I could find in the area and exceeded my expectations. The decor was improved from the hotel's appearance on Channel 4's "4 In A Bed" a few years previous.
Slightly disappointed that they don't offer breakfast, but Gingers in Hythe was excellent.
