The Hussar Hotel - Margate

The hotel was nice and clean and the breakfast was wonderful. Downfall was that there was no marked hotel entrance and I had to walk into the bar to check in. Also there was no clock nor phone so I couldn't get a wake up call which was a worry for the day we were checking out. It did what it said on the tin. Good value for money. The breakfast was really nice and the staff super friendly and helpful. The workmen starting early on the bank holiday Monday wasn't quite so welcome.

There was a party and late disco in the pub below, which were very noisy. The beds were of poor quality and uncomfortable. There was no chair in the room. There were no bedside lamps - or rather, there were lamps but no bulbs, so one had to turn off the main light and attempt to find the bed in darkness (stubbed toes etc).
