"Good value & great location"
This little place is very nice. Very simple decor. I had a standard king room with a comfortable bed and nice flat screen TV. The room was clean except for the mold in the shower. I had read that they don't provide a coffee maker in the rooms so I brought my own which worked out great. It was raining one morning so it sure was nice to stay dry and watch […] the rain while drinking coffee from the comfort of my room. I also liked the over sized wicker chairs with ottoman. "Very basic"
There were no "fluffs or frills" but was clean, friendly, close to beach. We would stay there again with the understanding we will have to provide our own hair dryer, and other essentials. Overall it was a good stay.

My Stay at Clayton's Resort was short but very nice. Can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was small but for the time we spent in the room it did not matter. Bed was great.. the pillows comforter sheets excillent.. I sleep like a baby... Our view was beautiful view of pool and beach... I would most definately stay again. The only thing is next time I will take more towels... "Had a Great Time!"
Rooms did not have a TV, a clock and no kitchen. Which I loved! Who needs them when you're at a beach front. The place was quiet, very clean and cold AC. Tammy was very cordial and sweet. Great food and entertainment at the Bar and Grill around the premises. Hope to stay again soon!!
"Clayton Resort"
I was told it was a hotel, not a 1950 vintage cottage. If I stayed there, I would have had to go up two flights of stairs with my luggage, no elevator. The room was left open for me because the office closed at 8:00pm. Not what I wanted. Both the manager and hotel.com were very gracious. Hotel.com just needs to beware of places that are advertised by […] them as a hotel. I cannot manage stairs at night in the dark with luggage. The parking lot was dark. "Good experience overall"
Overall had a great experience at this hotel. The furnishings in the room were updated, however, the bathrooms could use a little updating. Overall, the staff was extremely friendly throughout the hotel. The only hotel employees who were a little curt and seemingly unwilling to help with questions or requests were the ones that worked the check-in counter, […] which is unfortunate since they are the first impression people get when coming in to the hotel. "South Padre Island"
I like the location just needs more updated furniture and tvs are a must. Sometimes you just need a couple of minutes with a tv before you go to sleep.
