Hotel Coco Palms - Guanacaste – wybrzeże północnego Pacyfiku

The hotel staff was very attentive. Took pride in what they did. Was a little disappointed we had no hot water. I guess this is the norm in Coco beach.

Close to centre but not in the thick of it. Small room but air worked and really, how much time do you spend in your room when you're on the beach. If you want a beach town with some life Coco Beach in the north is it.

My best friend and I stayed at the Coco Palms on the first night we arrived in Costa Rica. We only booked it for one night because we wanted to have the freedom to leave if we didn't like it or the area. It turned out to be a cute little hotel, well kept, clean, friendly staff, free phone use, delicious breakfast, close to restaurants and bars but not […] too close to where you can't sleep because of the noise, close to the beach, convenience store right next door... What I didn't like about our room is that the bathroom did not have a door, just a curtain. I love my best friend but we don't need to be sharing bathroom noises. I don't think all the rooms are like that, though. We booked a room with one queen bed, so maybe they assume that only one person will be staying in it. All in all, I would recommend this hotel. nice people, service minded simple and home atmosphere

The hotel is right across from the soccer fields in the heart of town. It has a good breakfast and the town is fun. Our room was very noisy as it shared a common wall with the office. The office is closed at night but the phone rings and you can hear it through the walls. There is a 24 hour liquor store in the complex which also makes it kind of loud. […] The managers were nice and the room was clean. It had a nice pool and a nice place to eat near the pool. This is a quaint, older hotel with lots of local charm and character. The staff and owner were always helpful and tried to make our stay quite pleasant. Lots of great restaurants and shopping are all within walking distance. The food in the hotel restaurant was quite good and we enjoyed the pool. Coco Palms is what it claims to be (except for the lack of hot water; see below). It's a half block from the beach -- a beautiful beach in a popular fishing area that is unfortunately not treated well by those who frequent it, as it is litter-strewn and crowded. Playa del Coco is a touristy area with many restaurants and shops. Coco Palms itself has […] a decent if overpriced restaurant (featuring sushi) with at least one friendly and helpful waiter named Kevin; nice people at the reception desk -- especially Kelly and Any; and comfortable, clean rooms. There is loud music playing almost 24/7, but from the rooms it's not too intrusive. We stayed in Room 44, which has a balcony facing the street, a kitchenette, and an extra single bed. It was fine. But be warned: we had no hot water in the showers, which is the Tico way, but was a surprise to us as the hotel seems to cater mostly to North Americans and Europeans who like their hot water showers. The Internet was sporadic, but did work in our rooms and in the garden/courtyard/restaurant/pool area at times. At least while we were there, Coco Palms' visitors were primarily gringo adults. The owner, John, told us he'd soon be opening an adjacent bar/casino, which might appeal to some visitors. We strongly recommend that if you are staying in Coco Palms or nearby at one of the other beaches, you take a sailing-snorkeling adventure or sunset cruise with Sea Bird Sailing Excursions, under the capable direction of captain Sebastian and owner Heather. We had a great sail/snorkel from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to Playa Huevos (yes, Eggs Beach, who knows why?), and while we didn't see all that much marine life, we were happy to be on and in the beautiful water and see a few tropical fish, to see some amazing natural caves on Playa Huevos, and to meet Sebastian, Angela, Hector, and Manfred. A couple friends and I stayed at Coco Palms the week of NYE and it was perfect. We were close to the party, the beach, and everything the town has to offer, which isn't much, but we were close. We did not get the type of room I paid for through hotel.com. The manager gave us some credit on our bill to use for dining but it didn't equal the amount I believe we overpaid for the accomodation.

Hotel Coco Palms is a great place to stay. The grounds are lush, beautiful and well kept. (Pride in ownership.) The food at the restaurant was very tasty. We ate breakfast there daily: eggs, rice and beans, tortillias, fruit, coffee, very good! We also had the Casada plate for lunch and it was excellent and as inexpensive as the Sodas charge. The Cashew […] Chicken was also wonderful! Our room was nice. It was always clean when we returned from our dives, has a good t.v. There was plenty of hot water, but sometimes you have to let the water run awhile for it to get hot, no worries, though. It's not like the cold water there is to cold to be in. When I travel alone, I don't require much more than a clean room, sheets, towels, and safe neighborhood. Coco palms was awesome! Short walk to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. The staff is very friendly, and the hotel restaurant served up delicious food and ice cold beer. Now the rooms can be a bit noisy at night until everyone outside goes home at night, but it's not like you are paying hundreds of dollars a night for a luxury suite. Buena ubicacion, cerca de playa y centro comercial. La playa es más bien para salidas de embarcaciones pequeñas, no para baños. Tuve mala suerte con marea roja. La gente del hotel muy amable. Sólo para criticar, el fuerte olor a "caño" que salia en las cercanias de la piscina. La piscina y el bar muy bien ambientados

Un excelente servicio por parte del personal, todo lo que uno puede necesitar en un solo lugar. Habitaciones acondicionadas perfectamente, instalaciones, servicios de restaurante y bar de excelente calidad y diversidad, además de un supermercado para comprar todo lo que hace falta...todo con una sonrisa!!!

Es un muy buen hotel, pequeño pero muy acogedor.

Nao tive coragem de ficar neste hotel, pois tinha um homem com uma escopeta já na entrada para nos recepcionar. O hotel tem uma aparencia horrivel, pois ao mesmo tempo também funciona como supermercado, bar noturno e outras coisas. Preferi perder meu dinheiro , do que arriscar e ficar neste hotel.
