This is a great, calm hideaway in easy walking distance to beach, bars, shopping, etc. Runners: The walk to the beach will take you directly to the beginning of the boardwalk, a great place for a morning jog (turn left). Or, turn right at the beach and walk along a nice path down to the action along south beach. Or, walk down Collins Road to Jerry's […] Famous Deli, open 24 hours. The hotel itself is very clean, a bit spare, but comfortable in a non-cluttered way. It is very convenient to have a kitchen available if you're staying for any length of time. I enjoyed my stay immensely and was pleasantly surprised to discover such a luxurious apartment at a hotel price! The complex itself is quite lovely with tables and chairs throughout the grounds and a charming pool. The front desk staff is highly professional and very helpful. Before you book here, you need to know a few things. On the positive side, it's clean and well located on the fringe of South Beach. Also, being young and impervious to noise, inconvenience, and indifferent staff is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, I am none of those things. Do not look for phones, clock radios, soft sheets, spacious bathrooms, or […] in-room movie channels: they are not there. What is there (at least in the one-bedroom I stayed in) is an adequate kitchen, trendy but functional furniture, and a location four blocks from the convention center and about two from a 24-hour Walgreens-with-everything. You might save a little money here, but don't look for quiet enjoyment. There isn't any. Oh ... and if you don't look like a model or weighlifter, you probably shouldn't hang out by the tiny pool. Nice place to stay in miami near the south beach

There is no telephone in the room : what would happen if we needed help ???? Is this legal ?This is the first time I have had this problem. I had to use my cell phone to call front desk. we had overall a nice experiance -2 things we did have problems with- the shower had no pressure and the temp. was really bad but they then changed our room also we didnt expect such a large place with so many pple on the pic. it looks alot smaller(less pple)

Suite was absolutely perfect - very comfortable and modern. Housekeeping was right on top of things. Only complaint would be frat style partying from 2 to 4 PM one of the nights. Unless they were residents of the apartment portion you shouldn't have to worry about that.

this hotel was in a quite neighborhood yet only 2 blocks from the beach! (2blocks off of collins) while some friends who stayed on collins complined of being kept up all night by the traffic and the noise of people constantly coming and going---we slept like babies!!! clean, modern, comfortable room---free wifi---full kitchen!!! what's not to love?

Seems recently renovated, with modern kitchen large dining room seperate large bedroom and bath for a very low price only a block away from Collins ave and the beach..Thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Only drawbacks..no parking, but I got lucky a couple times and snagged one of the few free street spots. This is a good hotel - it was 5 minutes from the beach, the design and furnishings were nice. The parking is difficult but once we arrived in from Orlando we didn't even use the car anymore, it wasn't necessary and there are good bus links to downtown anyway. Was a bit disapppointed that I didn't find out that they provide free bike hire until the day […] before we left but still made use of it. There are about 10 bikes for this purpose so perhaps they don't advertise this to control demand. The kitchenette was useful, good oven and microwave, huge fridge (as the Americans do) and the room is spacious, stylish and relatively well cared for. The bed had a good mattress, 2 tvs ... overall I was happy. Only quip is that I was a bit suspicious over the cleanliness of the towels after I saw a bogie wiped on it - maybe one dodgy housekeeper. Bridget at the front desk is AWESOME! So friendly and offered so much information; very accommodating. This was my second stay at Tradewinds, and the room service for towels etc was much better than the first stay! I would definitely return!!!

What you see is what you get -- and if this is okay, you can't go wrong staying here. This is a plain vanilla but meticulously clean, quiet and well located apartment hotel just several long blocks north of the Miami Beach Convention Center. However, it is two short residential blocks to Collins Avenue and Ganesfoort Hotel, where cabs and buses abound. […] Buses are $2 exact change or bills. There is also a stop at 23rd between Pine Tree and Collins for the South Miami Beach Shuttle Bus (25 cents). I didn't have a car....check with hotel directly before you book. Parking is limited and seems problematic. Also, bring coffee, tea, and everything that goes with or purchase at Walgreens (23rd and Collins). There is no phone -- not an issue with cell phones. If you want an alarm clock, bring it. Otherwise, clean sheets, good towels and plenty of them, hair dryer, wi-fi, iron and ironing board, a radio/CD player, flat screen TV. Loved the tradewinds! Clean, friendly, great location, cant beat the price!

My wife and I went to Miami for our one year anniversary this year and we stayed at the tradewinds hotel. We were greeted by Bridget at the front desk. She is amazing and very caring. The room was beautiful and very clean. Close to the beach (2 blocks). Excellent hotel. Huge bang for the buck!

Definitely a great place to stay on South Beach if you're traveling on a budget. Staff are great, the place is nicely renovated and it was quiet when we were there in May. The shuttle is a pain since it only runs every 2 hours- take the Airport Express bus (the 150) to Collins and 24th. It runs frequently and costs $2.35. Kitchen has a fridge, stove, […] microwave and pots/pans/dishes/glasses/cutlery. It doesn't have a kitchen knife or other utensils. There is no coffee maker. Recently stayed for 7 days and the hotel rooms + pool area were excellent -- consistent with the other reviewers on hotels.com have said about this place the facilities were great. There was a cross section of young and older people, and families staying-- there was only 1 night where the partying and music was blasting late until the morning, but this […] should be expected in SOBE. Beware that the location is generally fine during the day, not sure some people would be comfortable walking back to their rooms late at night given the undeveloped areas across the street and pedestrian bridge accessing Liberty. Sound proofing could be improved --you can hear most sounds from the streets and next door rooms above a whisper -- and keeping your windows open is not an option given the lack of security. AC units are incredibly loud, but did help drown out the street/neighbour noise. Other suggestions for improvement include, access gates added to each courtyard to prevent unwanted guests. Note there are no telephones in the rooms, not much of an issue given everyone has a cellphone. Kitchen could be improved slightly with the addition of cutting knives, a toaster/toaster oven and coffee machine. We stayed at the Tradewinds Apartment Hotel in Miami Beach and loved our stay. The room was newly remodelled, very trendy and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable and both of us slept perfectly every night. The suite has a full size stainless steel Fridge and Stove and Microwave oven (no dishwasher) enabling home cooked meals when desired. […] The pool area is beautiful with lots of lounge chairs available. We were a five minute (or less) walk to the ocean beach. The hotel shuttle picked us up and dropped us off at the airport very timely. The hotel staff was very obliging and helpful. Our only complaint was that the maid service was very inconsistant. Some days she missed our room entirely. Most times she would take our towels away and either not replace them or only replace them with one towel and no face cloth (there were two guests in staying in the room). This was so consistent that it became a joke. After a week she decided to leave another roll of toilet tissue after we had bought our own. Great value, clean, updated and comfortable. Stayed post cruise, while attending conference in MIA. Disappointed by late checkin time, but pleased front desk very accomodating to store our luggage and try to accomodate us w/ early check in while we went shopping. Fair distance to walk to shopping in the Miami heat with kids, but do-able if u have a […] map easy. 2blocks to Miami Beach Convention center was perfect for the conference. 2 blocks to Sultan restaunt w/ excel. food, better than cooking in the room. We stayed at the tradewinds hotel/apts and everythings was great. The only bad thing their is that they have only on street parking. but they do offer a valet service which was good. The location was perfect and within walking distance of the beach. Although no parking is available we were able to work out a deal with the lot around the corner for our 5 day stay. Everything provided, dishes, towels, housekeeping was sufficient and I truly enjoyed the apartment style of Tradewinds.

My stay at the Tradewinds Hotel in what I would easily classify as the North Beach portion or upper South Beach of the island was one of an exceptional experience. Although a bit hard to find at first due to an inaccurate GPS and a small sign, it was easily recalled later on when backtracking back to the room after taking in a local restaurant. The […] check-in process was easy and transparent. The entire structure is two-story, with no elevators and spans roughly half-a-block so it isn't too large or too laboring to get up or down. Strangely, the rear of the rooms point towards the street while the front points towards canal - this isn't a downside, however, as it creates a communal ambience with your neighboring tenants. The rooms keys vary, depending on the rooms you get. It appears that some of the rooms are still being modernized and not all have sliding key-card access, still requiring use of a metal, non-disposable key. My room already had this feature though, so I didn't encounter issues/delay with check-out. Although a bit pricy for the offering, the room was well maintained, clean and modern inside - you would not necessarily get this impression from the outside view, which is very 1960s-Miami. Regardless, I recommend a potential tenant give it a chance, stay at least a night and be surprised with the luxury of the room. Most of the furniture was very Modani-esque, but not too ultra-modern. It was split between the living area/kitchenette/bathroom and the bedroom/closet. Simple, elegant and functional. The space included two LCD televisions which were exceptionally clear, multiple lighting sources, a dining area nestled in the kitchen and even a full-sized refrigerator. The couch was excellent, but the bed was so much better for relaxation. Although the toilet/sink were very up-to-date in design, the shower/bathtub was less modern, but equally functional and efficient - I never once lost pressure or endured a lack of hot water. This hotel was an excellent value for the money and was in walking distance of Collins avenue. My friend stayed on Collins and paid over 500 a night and the Tradewinds was much nicer. In fact it was so spacious that everyone came back to my hotel room for drinks and dinner.

Das Hotel wird überwiegend vom jüngeren Publikum gebucht.Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Nettes Personal... Pool sehr schön !!! Es gibt vor Ort (in der Anlage ) die Möglichkeit die eigende Wäsche zu waschen. -Geringe Gebühr-. 10 Gehminuten zum Strand . Helt okej för priset. Lite meckigt om man har bil, då det inte finns parkering, men det löste sig alltid för oss.

Bodde två veckor på detta mysiga lägenhetshotellet. Personalen var så trevliga och serviceminded. Lägenheten var i toppskick, nära stranden och city. Kommer absolut att åka tillbaka till detta ställe.

Det fanns ett kök men väldigt få köksredskap så det var näst intill omöjligt att laga mat där utan att köpa egna. Det var ett mycket fint poolområde där man gärna hängde. Bra AC men lite högljudd. Nära stranden men inte så man ser havet, dock bara 3 min gångväg. Helt okej personal, lite dryg nattpersonal men annars inget att klaga på. Det som drar ner […] betyget mest är nog parkeringen. Det finns ingen bra parkering i området så enda alternativet är att betala för deras parkering som var 20$ per dag. 10 dagar blir dyr parkering och plötsligt blir hotellvistelsen inte så billig längre. Parkeringen fungerade dessutom relativt dåligt och de hade dålig koll på vilka som stod där. L'Hôtel est très bien situé et bien entretenu, nous pouvons nous déplacer facilement à pieds vers la mer, les restaurants et certains magasins.Si vous avez une auto, il faut la déplacer 2 fois par jour car il n'y a pas de stationnements. Il faut stationner dans la rue et si vous êtes chanceux ,vous avez une place. Dans cette ville les stationnements […] sont avec parcomètres et payant si vous aller dans les attractions.Le mieux c'est de prendre les autobus.À l'Hôtel, nous avons manqué durant 3 jours de débarbouillettes pour se laver. Enormt nöjd med detta hotell. Stort rymligt rum och kök. Lugnt område med trevligt poolområde, lite liten pool men det fungerade att spendera ett par timmar runt. Kort promenad till stranden och ca 20 min promenad till Ocean Drive. Sov som en stock varje kväll. Väldigt trevlig personal. Kom till detta hotell efter en 5 nätters mardröm på ett 4,5 stjärnigt […] i New York, kan lätt tänka mig att boka detta hotell igen. Det ända negativa är att det är lite trixigt med parkering, måste bokas i förväg osv osv. Trycket i duschen är riktigt dåligt även i USA mått. Quel bonheur d'être, pour une fois, si agréablement surpris ! Le standing des appartements (du notre en tout cas) était au delà de ce qu'on attendait. Hôtel charmant, appartements superbes et absolument tout confort. L'hôtel était parfaitement propre, parfaitement situé (rue tranquille mais à deux minutes de Collins Avenue, là où tout se passe) et […] à une minute à peine d'une boite de nuit. La plage était à trois minutes et demi (le rêve !). Un séjour sans fausse note ! Dejligt sted meget centralt placeret. 5 min. gåtur til stranden og restauranter i gåafstand Det hele virker meget nyt og tingene fungerer fint. Der er (næsten)daglig housekeeping - eneste som ikke fungerede helt optimalt, men super service når noget drillede. Dejlige store lejligheder, med god skabsplads og godt indrettet. Nära strand, nära centrum (Collins/Lincoln Road). Hög standard, fint skick. Fri transport hotell/flygplats. Enda lilla minus kan vara litet poolområde. Rekommenderas varmt.

Jag och min pojkvän bodde i en av lägenheterna med ett separat sovrum. Hotellet har ett perfekt läge..inte långt från stranden eller Lincoln Road och området ligger lite avsides så man slipper höra larm från nattklubbarna. Lägenheten var fint inredd och vi har egentligen bara en sak att klaga över...rengöringen var inte alltid helt optimal...dom slarvade […] i badrummet och med disken i köket, men annars har vi inget att anmärka på.. El personal es muy amable, el hotel es tranquilo pero muy bien ubicado. Cerca de todo, con un Avis para rentar auto a unos pasos, bicicletas disponibles para los huespedes, bus en la esquina. Las habitaciones muy amplias y limpias con cocineta bien equipada. En una opcion exelente!!!

Camera/appartamento ottima dimensione, bell'arredamento (sono un gallerista..) , unica pecca un po' rumoroso( frigo e muri sottili) Niente parcheggio e colazione

O Hotel é simples porém muito bem localizado, quartos enormes,bem conservado e a recepção apesar de pequena tem excelente atendimento. Indico e com certeza voltarei outras vezes!

Die Ausstattung des Hotels und der Zimmer war schön, modern und sauber. Leider ist es jedoch ziemlich hellhörig. Daher besser in der obersten Etage ein Zimmer buchen.

Falta un poco el servicio de hoteleria pero en general los apartamentos son muy comodos. Zona tranquila y segura. A 7 cuadras de Lincoln Av. y a 2 de la Collins.Tener en cuenta que hay pocos lugares de estacionamiento gratuito y el hotel cobra u$d 20 por día para estacionar a la vuelta.

Nos sorprendio un poco que era una parte hotel (con entrada donde esta la recepcion) y otros apartamentos que tenian una puerta abierta que te lleva a los 4 apartamentos de cada bloque. La decoracion, el espacio y el equipamiento es de 5 estrellas. Te sentis como en tu propia casa, todo esta muy limpio y la pileta esta muy buena tambien. L'hôtel est tel que décrit sur le site, les photos reflètent bien la réalité. La clientèle: aussi bien des jeunes que des parents avec enfants. L'accueil chaleureux, l'appartement studio: spacieux et propre. L’hygiène était au rendez-vous sachant que c'est très important pour nous! Chambres très sympathiques, tout le confort pour passer des vacances en toute liberté: cuisine équipée avec grand frigo, cuisinière à induction, four, micro onde et cafetière... Le quartier est extrèmement calme, à 2 pas des plages et un peu en retrait pour éviter les foules d'ocean drive, supermarché 24/24 au coin de la rue. Les + de l'hôtel: la liberté de profiter de ses vacances sans passer par un hall d'hôtel, Les points négatifs: l'hôtel est situé dans un quartier résidentiel où les places de parking sont exclusivement réservées au résident de miami, avec des panneaux incompréhensibles pour les non initiés...l'enlèvement des voitures par la fourrière n'est pas rare (jour et nuit) heureusement l'hôtel propose un service de valet parking (très fortement conseillé). Hotel muy agradable, la habitación amplia y muy linda la cocina e impecable. El personal es un poco ruidoso porque tienen los handys a todo volumen y se escuchan TODOS los diálogos internos. Que usaran auriculares en los handys sería un alivio para los pasajeros...

Zona tranquila, se puede estacionar en algunos lugares gratis, limpio y habitaciones grandes con tv lcd en living y pieza..recomendable..la unica critica es el olor a humedad en las escaleras que van a las habitaciones...

Das Appartment ist sehr großzügig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Einrichtungsgegenstände sind neuwertig und die Küche bietet alles was man zum Kochen benötigt. Die Ausgangslage ist ideal, entweder zu Fuss oder mit dem Leihrad (kostenlos) - zum Stand oder Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive etc. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!
