This hotel is in the middle of everything! It's modern. It's clean. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast is awesome, but get there before the 9 to 10 o'clock rush. The rooms with the balconies are relaxing, because you can sit and listen to the passing cars and people watch. Comfortable beds...large rooms. My only complaint is that […] there needs to be a few more people on staff during peek times of the year because there was one day where our room wasn't cleaned when we returned from our activities. Easy fix...my husband just went downstairs to get a new set of clean towels. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, and truly within walking distance of the aquarium, riverfront, and children's museum. I have become a major fan of Hampton Inn and Suites during my last two stays - in CA and now in TN. The Chattanooga Hampton by the waterfront is beautiful. Our room was lovely and comfortable and the pool area was wonderful.

Location was perfect to go to Children's Museum and Aquarium.

we had a good stay on a weekend night. Decent restaurants are nearby and hotel staffs were friendly and service was great

Booked just 1 night since I'm on a road trip. The outside looks pretty nice, it's even nicer on the inside. First thing you see when you walk in is the steam coming out of the heated pool, very nice n inviting in this cold weather, very well kept place, rooms are nice and comfy. This is the best Hamptonn Inn I've ever stayed in. The facilities are in top shape, and very attractive. The staff is very helpful and competent. The surroundings are excellent, as there are many restaurants and local attactions within very easy walking distance. Overall this is first rate choice.

I had a really nice time. The room was very clean. The location was great. We could walk to almost everything.

This hotel was better than we expected. If you have children, it's an ideal location. Chattanooga Childrens' Museum is across the street and the Tennessee Aquarium is a block away. If you are looking for a solo or romantic getaway it's perfect. The outside patio was very nice and cozy. We spent the Christmas holidays and our 25th wedding anniversary there with family about 1 hour drive away. We were unhappy because they was no staff on Christmas day to clean our room or no hot breakfast either, just a brown bag with muffin, apple, cereal bar and water bottle. We complained to the manager about our dirty room and was told by the girl […] behind the desk she didn't know how to get in touch with her manager. Therefore not much security in that hotel. The next day after Christmas our room had still not been cleaned either. I was furious and talked to the Manager regarded our circumstances and he decided to comp our entire room fee. My wife and I decided to have a getaway night. So we drove up from Atlanta for a Saturday night stay. Hotel was right off the highway, easy to find, and in a great location. Parking was readily available, and there was plenty of things to do right around the hotel. - Down sides - although the room was very clean, the bed and pillows were not to our […] liking. Also, the hotel was in a great spot and near downtown, but downtown was hoping and very loud. It was probably 2am before we were able to finally not hear any noise outside. All was perfect except the broken toilet seat in the bathroom ... did not discover it until after we had unpacked and were settled in ... chose not to tell the staff because we didn't want to deal with moving or having maintenance come to repair it. We survived, but feel the cleaning staff should have known about it when they cleaned the bathroom and […] it should have been reported and repaired before our arrival ... that's a fairly large black mark, I would say. The hotel was very nice and clean. Our only complaint was the room was a little too warm, but we like the room to be very cold. The breakfast was very good.

The Hampton Inn in downtown Chattanooga was an easy walk from everything--only one block from the Tennessee Aquarium. It is a beautiful hotel, and the desk staff enthusiastically gave us good info on the neighborhood attractions and restaurants.

The location of the hotel can't be beat. Across from the Discovery Children's Museum, close to restaurants and other downtown activities and easy to find. The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms were great. This is an apparently new hotel just opened in April 2011. Our issue is that this hotel is not equipped or able to deal with a full house. While […] we were there, 3 weekend nights, we were unable to get a pack-and-play for our baby to sleep in. Only one elevator was working the entire weekend, which meant most of the morning or at checkout time or breakfast time there was a LONG wait if you had to use the elevator. The stairs opened up to a service area clearly marked "FOR PERSONNEL ONLY" but there was no other way to the lobby. More often than not, we were unable to use the stairs because of stroller or luggage cart use. Unable to find a luggage cart not in use and lugging all of our family's luggage while trying to get out on a Sunday morning we waited over 20 minutes to get from the 3rd floor to the lobby. We were so late for church we decided to turn around, go back to our room and change back into our traveling clothes and scrap our church plans altogether. Bummer! This was a big disappointment as we were very curious about our local church congregation after having such a wonderful job interview and considering Chattanooga to be a front runner in our future move plans. The breakfast was decent IF you could find a place to eat or they hadn't run out of something or if there was any food left OR if the grumpy (sometimes downright mean) short haired, older kitchen attendant wasn't making you feel bad for asking for help or directions on where to find utensils or how to unstick your waffle. She actually blamed my 8 year old daughter for "making the waffle iron stick because it was overfilled." We stayed in the King Suite and had a balcony with chairs and table. 37" flat screen with HD channels, lots of Sports including ESPN U and lots of others. The room had a pull out couch and another chair. Modern lighting and lamps, a wet bar with mini fridge and microwave. Very nice sink with recessed lighting overhead. The bed was better than average […] comfort. The location was great, walking distance to everything in Downtown. Three blocks from TN aquarium, across the street from Childrens Science Center, and the AT&T Park (Chattanooga Lookouts) . The breakfast buffet was better than most, waffels, sausage patties, french toast, and eggs. The pool is also nice, we had coffee poolside after breakfast. They had a fireplace and firepit. The Hampton Inn- Downtown Chattanooga-was a find for us. This hotel is new and has modern decor. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. This is one of the most fabulous hotels I've ever stayed in for what I consider a more than reasonable rate. All of their rooms are suites and the amenities are top notch. You will not be disappointed at anything this hotel has to offer. From the valet car service to the complimentary breakfast... the contemporary decor - it's all class act!

Staff went the extra mile - car was washed, opened the pool for wife & I, late check out, good breakfast buffet.
