County Inn is close to 101 freeway, but if you don't have car, the closest bus stop is 0.5 mile away. My room was spacious and comfy, had all the necessary equipment and parking space right behind the door. Since it's close to the freeway you can actually hear traffic while you're inside but it's not like if you're on airport runway ;-) Between Inn buildings there's a swimming pool and garden with blooming trees, so window view is rather pleasant. If I'm in Mountain View again it's likely that I'll choose County Inn again.

Miły motel - wszystkie pokoje mają wejście od zewnątrz, piętrowy, trzeba bagaże dźwigać po schodach. Pokoje duże, czyste, klimatyzacja i możliwość otwarcia okna. Jedyny hotel w którym prysznic nie był przytwierdzony do ściany. Spokojna okolica, hotel bezpośrednio przy ulicy,ale cichy. OK na jedną dwie noce.

The hotel was fine. The pool was very awkward to use. The staff was great. The cost was high for what it was. At this price I'd have expected a restaurant.

"Hyatt on First St."
This hotel is relatively new, as is the shopping center next to it. Everything is done first class, so it is impossible for other hotels which are 20+ years old to compete with this. With the great deal I got from hotels.com, it just doesn't get any better!
"VERY nice hotel!"
I would say unbeatable for the price - I got to this hotel when it was just built a few months ago - VERY clean, great atmoshere and service. You can't go wrong especially if you need or want to stay in that area. Modern vibe and friendly staff.

Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Stayed in one bedroom suite and was impressed for the price. Very roomy with full kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

"Nice hotel"
I've stayed here a few times, and I always love the studio rooms with the amenities it offers. The only thing I did not care for is that the prices are higher than when it was Hotel Sierra. Hoping that doesn't stay that way or I'll be looking for another hotel when I am in San Jose, CA.

"We love this place"
This is the first time we stay in the Sierra Hotel we love the modern decor. The brreaksfast is great and it is served early. the stafff is very friendly too. We will continue to stay there when we are in the area

"Best All Around!"
This hotel was by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Target, Great America, restaurants all in a 2 mile radius. Secured parking garage, close to freeways... The service there for me was also the best service I have experienced. The front desk lady, Brenda (that's how good she was I made a point to remember her name) went above and beyond to […] make us feel comfortable and at home. She was very nice and not that 'fake' nice either. The room was amazing. I was expecting the flat screen tv and the huge bed but I was NOT expecting a full size refrigerator, dishwasher with soap, dishes, stove, pots, pans, coffee maker, all cutlery including a cork screw for wine. =) Hairdryer, 'nap&snooze' clock... 1 thing I will say and I usually am not a pest about this is that there was no option to buy movies from the TV. Stayed here the weekend before Christmas to see friends in San Jose and do some shopping. We were unfamiliar with the area or how easy it was to get around, so this location seemed as good as any other. The reviews were excellent, a real breakfast was to be included, and the room was advertised as a suite so we pictured the baby sleeping in the bedroom […] while we relaxed in the other room (impossible in a regular room). Turns out the reviews were right on the money! The hotel is brand new so everything was in great shape. The hotel sits in a parking lot shared by several good restaurants, and there is a giant Target right across the street (but nicely out of sight). The lobby is really open and modern; there's a business center with several machines, and a pretty swank hotel bar too. This is also where the breakfast is in the morning, which was in fact a "real" breakfast. Buffet line with hot items, an omelette bar, fresh fruit, etc. One of the better included breakfasts I've ever had. Our room was in fact a real suite. We had a full kitchen that was unusually nice. Dishwasher, full size fridge, stove. We were only in town for a few minutes but if I were staying long term for business this would be an amazing convenience. The main room had a couch and a chair as well as a desk and chair, plus a big flat screen TV. There was also a connector door to the next room we didn't use. The bedroom is through a door and housed a giant king size bed and another giant flat screen TV. And yes, most channels were in HD! The bathroom is off the bedroom with a sink outside with the closet, then the toilet and shower behind a pocket door. The shower was AWESOME; big, well-lit and lots of water pressure. We asked for a crib (had to ask twice, but not a big deal) and it was actually a "pack and play" so it was collapsible and could be stored well out of the way if needed. "Awesome"
We loved this place. For the price, I don't think you can beat it. Upgraded to the larger king room and we had plenty of space, a full kitchen, great shower (one of my biggest gripes when traveling), surprisingly good complimentary breakfast, free parking, and a very friendly staff. They advertised they were close to the city. We found it out of the way. Its located in the Silicon Valley Business District. Our view from the hotel was the Target parking lot and construction underway. We did not find it centrally located for what we were looking for. However, it is a brand new hotel and very nice. Overall it was worth the drive.

"Sierra Suites - Great hotel & staff"
I've stayed at the Sierra Suites San Jose for a couple of business trips and truly enjoy the experience. A.M. breakfast buffet has lots of options and was always well-stocked. The in-room kitchenette was wonderfully appointed with all bowls, utensils, cookware, etc. The bed is one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've come across. I love the modern […] decor and the spacious shower. The gym is a little on the small side, but most evenings I had to it myself and the equipment provided is very nice. "Our San Jose Modern Boutique"
Very modern and boutique looking hotel. It was like new, good atmosphere, friendly staff, and great bar/pool table combo. It wasn't necessary to go out, everything was in the hotel. Aside from no room service and parking was a little troubling, this hotel is fantastic. I will stay here at all my visits because it was worth it.

"Excellent new hotel closer to Sunnvale"
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It was perfect for a week of business in the San Jose and Palo Alto areas. It has a full-size refrigerator, a stove, dishwasher, and sink. My suite had a good size living room and the highlight was a SUPER COMFY bed. The only weak points for me was when i requested a late afernoon service to the room and it […] wasn't cleaned fully, the view of the parking garage, and the neighborhood is far from downtown. We expected an OK hotel, but the Sierrra at San Jose exceded all our expectations; great room, brand new, excellent breakfast -included-, very well located and friendly staff. And the best: excellent price. We will return, thats for sure.

The Sierra Hotels are probably the best hotels I stay at during my business trips around the country. I mostly stay at the Hotel Sierra in Dulles Virginia. The Hotel Sierra San Jose is definately a great hotel right from the start at the front desk staff, the beautifully appointed rooms and great ammenities. Loved this hotel. It was new. The breakfast was excellent and the in house bar (which opens at 5p) was great. The pool is heated and the staff is very friendly.

Hotel is right next shopping center (not yet completed). This might limit parking space in the future. We stayed in a standard king room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. LCD TV with many HD channels almost made us not want to go out of room. This hotel is brand new, still feels like it's been freshly built. Everything was clean in our bedroom. My wife and I were very impressed with this hotel, It's new and very modern looking, from the Silver wall decor and the silver chain room dividers in the bar and lobby area to the outdoor lanscaping and room ammenities. There was a pool table in the bar area, and outdoor patio with a beautiful fire pit. The pool in on the ground level in the front of […] the hotel, the bathrooms and shower area by the pool block the view of the parking lot thankfully, but you still feel like everyone is looking at you as the come and go from the lobby. Studio Room was very nice with a kitchen, spacious bathroom, and big windows. Bed was comfy as well as the sofa. Only downfall was the TV. There was no guide channel, so it was a hassle to flip through every channel, and you didn't know what was coming on next. "Brand Spanking New"
This Hotel is 3months old (at the time of my stay in late June 2011) and it definitely has that "new hotel smell." In all seriousness, my stay at Hotel Sierra was one of my most enjoyable stays at any hotel. "Very Impressive"
We came down for a business trip after driving 17 long hours we were able to check-in without any problems. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast in the morning. The rooms were well-kept and it felt like a home away from home. We enjoyed the heated pool and the pool table was nice to use and hang with friends without leaving the location! I absolutely LOVED this hotel! Everything is beautiful and modern and i loved all the paintings on the walls of the halls. Gorgeous painting of San Jose! The room was breath taking! and of course the bathroom! Very comfortable bed
