This hotel was very comfortable and beautiful. People were very helpful. We'll sure return there if we go back to this area!

Ths old hotel was very interesting place to stay for the wife and I. The people that worked there went out of there way to make our stay relaxing. The history of it was great also. Just ask and the people will tell you about the history of it.

The historic hotel decor is interesting and the bar/lounge is conviently located on the first floor. The beds are NOT sleep number beds as advertised and ours sank in the middle. Two people weighing 290lbs total and the queen bed did not support us. The hotel should invest in newer and more comfortable beds. This hotel was a wonderful find. Very convenient for our visit to the area. If you like quaint, romantic settings, antiques and wonderful, caring service, this hotel meets all the requirements. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the included and quite filling breakfast. Dinner the evening before included a good variety of choices […] with attentive wait staff. Very well maintained infrastructure, classic victorian air to the place, comfortable beds & room, service was great, very welcoming & friendly staff.

This is a quirky hotel with Victorian decor. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here with our two children and it was nice. Very quite and nice rooms. Everything worked well. Be prepared for antique furnishing and lots of lace. Some of the finishes are a bit worn (carpet). The restaurant in the hotel (dinner) was great! Morning continental breakfast was also wonderful.

The hotel is an very charming old inn located in a small town in Virginia. Furnished with real antiques and decorated attractively for the holidays, the hotel and town of Strasbourg exude a "time warp" feeling. The staff is very friendly and helpful. please go to the hotel's actual website to look at the information. while the hotel is a nice quaint location, the description on hotels.com is not an accurate representation of the hotel. there are no sleep number matresses, there is no shower/tub combo, not even a working clock radio, the desk is a dresser and the wireless is subpar.

We enjoyed the environment of this hotel so much that we decided to stay here on our return trip. The rooms vary in size. We could not beat the price offered on hotels.com for a hotel in this area. Lovely hotel and comfortable room except there was a flood light outside my room and no shade to keep out the light. Pretty lace curtains but no shade. Friendly desk clerk was unable to change my room and suggested a sheet over the window. Breakfast the following morning was very good.

My sweetie and I are long distance. He lives on Long Island and I live in Asheville, NC. Strasburg is the exact midway location on I-81, which is why we chose it. The town is slow, rural and charming. The surrounding mountains and valleys give plenty of visual interest. Walking into the Hotel Strasburg, you feel as though you're in another time altogether. […] The hotel always smelled of good food. Beef, toast, whatever was cooking... it came wafting up the stairs. Just a wonderful old in-town hotel decorated in the Victorian style. The staff was particularly friendly and the food was excellent. A nice change from the sterile chain hotels out by the interstate.

What a great location in a quaint community! The staff is friendly and helpful. The locals who we met at the restaurant, pub, and hotel lobby made us feel right at home. We will definately return to this location to enjoy the views and history. perfrect for an old hotel - the food is not so great but will be back because charming

Beautiful Hotel, good location and great service. The hallway on the 3rd Floor seemed a bit stuffy in lack of airflow, but otherwise fine. I am picky about mattresses and I was not 100% satisfied with the bed I slept in, but overall it was a pleasant experience. I will try to stay there again.

Local flavor and authentic historic experience. We had a very nice evening at Hotel Strasburg. I can't imagine that you could find a better meal anywhere in Strasburg or Front Royal...don't miss dining here!

A nice, quaint hotel. The room was a bit "fussy" for me -- like the ugly dried flower wreath over the bed -- but I know folks like that sort of thing. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Front desk staff was helpful, friendly and available. The hotel bar is nice and it was nice that it was a local bar too, not just hotel guests.

The hotel is quaint, however we had reservations for 2 queen beds and got one on the 3rd floor, which is a walk up. Beds are VERY firm. The staff was helpful with finding a garage for car questions and local entertainment. We would probably go there again.

This hotel is very charming and unique. It reminds me of some hotels in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Every room is different in it's own way, and they certainly are all decorated differently. Don't come to this hotel expecting an up-to-date and modern atmosphere. Antiques are everywhere and decorate everything from the lobby to the guest room […] bathrooms. Paint is chipping off doors in certain areas and the beds are a little creaky. Sometimes the floorboards creak as well. You definitely get the feel that you are back in the early 1900s at this hotel. Our room was fairly small for the three people in our party. We could have used an extra couple of chairs, but there was no room for them. The wallpaper in our room was black with a lot of floral designs. This made the room seem smaller than it was, not to mention dark. The lighting was not anything spectacular either. However, we looked around the hotel and most of the rooms had lighter colored paper and seemed roomier. We stayed two nights, and we found it odd that the maid did not make our beds after our first night. The bathroom toiletries were replaced and the trash was removed, but the beds were left alone. All the doors to the guest rooms at Hotel Strasburg remain open unless they are occupied. This allows guests to roam the halls and explore all the interesting and exciting nooks and crannies of this historic building. It is truly a photographer's dream as there is something new around each corner. There is no elevator and most of the rooms are on the second and third floors. So if someone in your party has difficulty walking, this probably isn' t the place for them. The dining room is really homey! You feel as if you are in someone's home while you are eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is average. There is fruit, cereal, bagels, sweet rolls, etc. No eggs, waffles, or anything hot. The Hotel Strasburg was built in 1902. It looks and feels antique. In fact, every surface, horizontal or vertical, is covered with antiques. Our tiny room was no exception. But be warned: There are no first floor guest rooms, and there is no elevator. We did have air conditioning, a fridge, TV, and wi-fi internet access. So we made do.
