Bardzo dogodne położenie blisko dworca kolejowego,a także centrum. Obsługa miła,udziela wszelkich informacji,w przypadku konieczności bez problemu oferuje wynajęcie taksówki. Pokoje małe,czyste,ale wystarczające na krótki pobyt. Uwagi moje dotyczą kodowania niektórych programów TV,jak Eurosport,Animal Planet.

"Worst hotel room EVER"
1st, the positive: walking distance from everything. Quiet & safe neighbourhood. Great service at Reception (i.e. a girl from N.Y. who was very helpful with tourist info & breakfast). Breakfast was appropriate for the price. 2nd: NOT so positive: we got room 22. If you get this room, run like hell or demand a different one: NOT 1 single window, not […] even a ventilation vent in the bathroom. The room is right next to reception, the stairs, and the breakfast area, getting all the possible noise, screaming, etc.. At 4:30 am, someone decided to sing a whole song, to the top of his lungs, and no one in recption seem to see it fit to stop him. In a minor note, the TV in the room was missing all but one of the buttons. To make things better the light switch for the room tripped throughout the night (apparently it happened in several rooms) and we were left in pitch black to find the door, or the bathroom (as there was no source of light whatsoever: no windows). The single beds were tiny, and wobbly, making them unconfortable to sleep in. In general, location & customer service are the only redeeming features of a horrible sleeping experience. Thankfully we were only staying 1 night. I can assure you I'll be back to Amasterdam, but I can also guarantee it will be to a different hotel. Przeczytaj więcej

"Hotel Quentin England - more like motel"
Positives: 1) near trams, near leidseplein - shopping and food hub, near parks, near museums. 2) The room service was generous with towels and attentive to our needs. Did a good job in keeping our carpet clean. 3) Bed looked clean and comfortable enough for us small-sized parents and our 1-year old. Bed comfortable. Important for our family. Negatives: […] 1) The reception guys didn't look like they want to be there, no aura of friendliness or welcoming. 2) Room 2metre by 2metre, really small. Felt like students once again. "Don't go budget"
Due to a hotel overbooking I had a regular twin room for my first night, and it was a lovely room. The next 3 nights I was in my originally scheduled low-budget twin, which was a windowless room no bigger than the twin bed. You have to leave the room to turn around. "Quentin England in Amsterdam - - Disgraceful !!!"
I was book the recently for my Amsterdam trip. When I first arrived the hotel I have been told the room is not ready and I have to check-in in the later evening. In the evening when I finally check-in my room and walked up the tiny stairs (4th floor) as soon as I open the door of my room I was stunt. Basically the bed just right beside the door hints […] that's only enough room to open the door and you fall stright away into bed. That's isnt any other space in the room at all and only with a tiny window. Somehow I felt like I've cheated by the hotel picture, as the current condition of the room even worse for poverty. I was book a double room means 2 people living in it but thats isnt any space at all not to talk about walk around as the room is only a box size just enough to fit in a double bed. Also that's is stain and dirty marks on the bed & the duvet its absolutely disgussting. I went down to spoke to the receptionist to change another rooms but the receptionist told me the hotel is full and I just have to dealt with it. . . At the end I checked out straight away (despite I still get charged a night) and hunt for other hotel to stay in the late evening. Staff was great and the cleanliness was wonderful. The only problem was I was in a single and it was the smallest room I've ever seen! About the size of a closet....it worked ok though so I'd still stay there again. The location was perfect for me; on a quiet street but close to the action.

"You Get What"
When my fiancé and I booked our stay at this hotel, we definitely did so because of the price. We tend to want to save money with accomodations and pay for experiences when traveling. I will say that we got what we paid for. This hotel is just a step up from a hostel. Do not expect extra pillows or towels, because they don't have them. Also don't expect […] them to change the bedding. They definitely make the beds but with the same bedding. We had lovely coffee stained bedding for most of the week. Guests are loud at all hours of the night. However, the front desk staff was very helpful and the location was perfect. It was within a few minutes walk from the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. "NO AC, in the basement, thumbs down."
The room we had was in the basement with no ac a fan on a table and a street level open window was the only way to attempt to cool the room which was hot. The bathroom has no separation between the show floor and the bathroom floor so there is no way to take a shower without getting the entire floor wet. "Smallest room ever"
We stayed at the Quentin last week during our 2-day visit to Amsterdam. I have to say we were disappointed although location is kind of good. Pictures of rooms advertised within the website do not correspond to the average room. We were assigned a basement room which literally had a 2 mt x 2 mt area. Our bags hardly fit with us inside. Not to mention […] that walls are made of cardboard and you can hear almost all kind of sounds from other guests...like SNORING ! we could not sleep because of that. "Average overall"
Nothing was really majorly wrong with this hotel, but nothing was really great either. The location was nice, it's close to many of the 'happening' areas and really walkable to get to museums etc. The room was very small and the plumbing seemed to be a bit of an issue there, but overall for the price it was what was to be expected.

I was in a room in the basement where everything was white. Felt like I was in prison. Bed was comfortable though and the staff was helpful and spoke English. Conveniently located near museums and casino.

The one caveat, though, was noticing small insects that bore a striking resemblance to bed bugs. Hotel Quentin England in Amsterdam is very convenienty situated for all sightseeing locations in the city.Close to Vondel Park,trams,bus,canal,and bikes,tho everywhere is easily accessible on foot. Upon check in, the guy said that we were goin to get the typical Amsterdam experience by carrying our luggage up to the 4th floor since there was no elevators. there is no closet in the room; where a closet once was you will find your bathroom in the room. there is no separation between toilet and shower, so water gets everywhere. i asked for a double […] bed, and it was 2 twins pushed together so my husband and i had fun slipping through the cracks. when the maids came, all they did was make the bed. we left a towel on the floor indicating that we wanted a new one, and they just draped it across our bed, and didnt remove any of the rubbish in the room. but hey, at least the area is decent. "Hell Hole - AVOID!"
1. The bed was uncomfortable and had hardly any bed linen and it was a double bed not a twin as requested. 2. There was damp on the floor and mould on the walls. 3. We were put in what I would describe as a shed which was outside in the 'garden' and not in the hotel itself and as a result it was cold as it only had 2 very poor quality storage heaters […] and very noisy with birds and other animals as we were practically outside with poor quality windows and as a result we did not get any quality sleep. 4. There were no towels in the bathroom and the pipes were leaking resulting in a very wet floor - we had just arrived from the Airport and needed showers but did not shower as it was so disgusting and it smelt of sewerage. 5. No room decoration, no toiletries, no kettle to even make coffee or teas. 6. The TV had no signal hence no channels whatsoever. We did complain to the receptionist and after apparently speaking to the Manager/Manageress we requested either a discount or be moved to a room inside of the hotel - neither of our requests was successfull. "Location location location"
And comfy beds - Great Location, very comfy bed good staff, only problem was the shower - they have no barrier at all, the water just flows all over the rest of the Bathroom floor - I made a rolled up Towel Barrier every day that helped some though - they just need to put a little barrier around the shower stall and this place would be more than fine […] for the money Przeczytaj więcej
"Great for the price"
Quentin is your typical bare bones hotel. If you don't like small rooms, or narrow, very steep stairways (there is no lift) than this isn't the place for you. Otherwise, it was in a great location close to the Vondelpark the museum district, grocery stores and tram stops. I would definitely stay there again at the price we paid.

Great location. The hotel demands silence at certain hours, for example silence a certain hours. Maintenance of the hotel and rooms is very poor. Staff is not friendly at all.

Female clerk was a jerk!, not helpful. Bathroom shower stall has no lip on the floor, so after taking a shower, expect the bathroom floor wet, and they only give 2 towels per room (we were two), No Lift / Elevator. Other than that, the neighborhood is very Nice, very quiet at night, beds were comfortable and clean.

This hotel had Old World character. It is not meant for those who enjoy a lot of amenities. It is simple, small, and clean. The beds were comfortable and the linens clean. Hotellet var perflket beläget på en liten lugn gata nära Leidseplein och kommunikationer. Spårvagnar och bussar till flygplatsen till exempel. Lätt att nå och hitta restauranger som amsterdambor själva går till med riktigt bra mat. En del av personalen var väldigt hjälpsam och tjänstvilliga andra mindre så. Ojämn kvalitet på detta alltså. Rummet lagom […] stor om man är där en kort tid och i princip bara använder det för att sova och duscha. Saknade dock krokar att hänga handukar i badrummet samt när man duschade blev hela badrumsgolvet vått och det fanns ingen skrapa. Små detaljer som lätt skulle höja bekvämligheten. "Greitt tilholdssted for dager i Amsterdam"
Hotellet ligger sentralt både for aktuelle museer, og nær det pulserende livet. HYggelige steder for frokost i nærheten, samt cafeer og restauranter. Dessuten anbefales jazzen hver kveld fra kl 22, rundt hjørnet for Burger King. Selve hotellet er enkelt og greitt og rent nok for oss.

Parle uniquement anglais, arrivée à 14h30 et la chambre n'était pas prête, chambre dans la cave et petit soupirail, payé un supplément pour avoir une chambre plus confortable à l'étage avec une grande porte fenêtre, manque de propreté et de plus on avait fumé dans la chambre...

One may not forget it's a 2 stars hotel. Even if you pay less for a 3 stars in Paris or 4 stars in Marseille, you must remember that. Amsterdam is an expensive city and I believe you won't find anything better for this price. Im Keller schlafen ist nicht jedermanns Sache aber wenn man sich nur zum schlafen im Hotel aufhält ist es annehmbar. Ich habe vier Tage im Keller(inklusive kleines Kellerfenster) des "Quentin England" verbracht, es war kein schönes Zimmer und die Wände sind (wie auf der Internetseite angegeben) wirklich dünn aber es war warm/kühl und trocken. Das Personal […] ist wirklich nett und zuvorkommend, die Umgebung ist ruhig(unmittelbare Parknähe) und das Zentrum ist schnell erreichbar. O hotel é bem simples, o quarto é muito pequeno, mas tinha tudo o que precisava, a localizaçao é otima.
Dårlig hotel. Fuktskader på en hel vegg på rommet som ikke var utbedret..mugglukt. svært spartansk møblert. Fjernkontroll til tv kunne lånes ved at man betalte depositum. Det eneste positive var gode senger og fin beliggenhet.
