Citadines Kyoto Karasuma-Gojo - Kyoto

LARGE room, window that opened,air conditioning that worked,very clean, good lighting to read by and comfortable seating, fresh sheets and towels every day. Breakfast was convenient , but chose to go out and eat local food. Best accommodation we had in Japan.

Nice apartments, but definitely need more lighting in the foyer/reception area. Couldn't see the tourist brochures properly, had to take them over to a downlight to see! Staff nice and managed to put us in the room before 3pm, as we were extremely tired. I think 3pm check-in is a bit late, there was another couple who arrived early and had to go and […] kill time before accessing their room. Perfect accommodations!

The hotel is conveniently located a few doors away from the Gojo subway station with quite a few good eateries and convenience stores surrounding the hotel. The rooms are modern, clean, complete with amenities and spacious. Hotel staff was friendly and professional. Definitely staying at this hotel again!

Really love this hotel. It's pretty easy to find this hotel and love the mini kitchen as we are able to cook and prepare our food in the morning. :)

Great 6 night stay. Very friendly staff, convenient location - Gojo Station only metres from front entrance; or 10 minute walk to Tower area, rooms very clean and spacious (after 5 weeks travel in Europe). Surrounding area totally safe to venture out at any time of night or day. Highly recommended accommodation.

We enjoyed our stay at this fine hotel while visiting Kyoto! You can't ask for a more convenient location, with the subway less than a minute from the entrance to the hotel, and a 7-11 across the street for late night snacks. Brand new with all the mods you would expect of a nice 3-star hotel. This is the kind of place you want to stay if you scarcely expect to spend time at. You pay for a well equipped (kitchen etc), convenient and comfortable room but none of the added benefits (gym etc.).

We read many reviews about this hotel chain and found the rave reviews to be true. The suite was fabulous and spacious and the people were friendly and helpful. The location was 50 metres from the subway which is the only way to travel in Kyoto. Excellent, very reasonable restaurants are almost next door. Nice price, good location, walking distance between Kyoto train station and Shijo area. Brand new and very clean and comfortable room with everything you need. Easily connected to all important scenic spots. Will definitely stay here again next time.

Great new hotel with freindly staff who speak fairly good English. Very clean room. Has in room kitchen so good for family and traveling with a baby. Location is halfway between Kyoto JR Station and downtown Kyoto so easy walking distance to shops. If you don't fancy a walk its located right above a subway station which is very handy.

In the two weeks travelling around Japan this was the best hotel.It is all class from the moment you walk through the doors,the reception staff and the room.Really a place where you are made welcome during the whole time of your stay.

the hotel is 3 bus stops away from the Kyoto Bus Station and then a short walk after crossing crossing a T-junction. The lobby was not bright enough. Nearby is macdonal and across the hotel is a 7-11 store which many variety of budget bentos which they will also heat it up in the microwave if u requested. Just a short walk away are bus stops that u […] can take to various temples and sight-seeing sights. In kyoto the best way is to either ride a bike or use the bus. Some of the staff do understand english. The bedroom only provide one soft pillow per bed, and when I tried to request another one, the lobby staff said not available. I asked the chamber maid the next day and she passed me one. This is one rare hotel in Japan that has many non-japanese TV channels, like mandarin and english , unlike most hotels that only provide one English channel and that is the BBC. Przeczytaj więcej

I was concerned before going to Citadines Kyoto but must say it was my favourite hotel in Japan. The rooms are not big, 25 sqm, but very well designed and laid out. The kitchenette was a big bonus as we were able to have breakfast each morning and a lunch in the room, as was the laundry in the basement. It is only a 10-15 min walk from the JR station […] and is not far, walking distance to many major sights. There is a metro stop just outside the door and a 7-11 opposite. This hotel is great. It even has a kitchen. It is nicely appointed and close to all the attractions. The hotel staff is very professional and helpful. The room is spacious, too!

I can't recommend the Citadines highly enough. Great rooms, small, but very efficient. Our room had a small kitchen with dishes, sink, microwave, and small fridg. Great for a long term stay. I didn't explore the area much on foot - there is a convenience store across the street, but other than that, I can't really say much about the surrounding area. […] The staff all speak english very well which is always a plus. The rooms are super clean and so nicely decorated. The only caveat is that there is some noise from the floor above, but not bad enough to keep you awake. This hotel is right in front of the exit of Gojo station. The location is very good. The interior of the lobby and room is hip and modern. Staff's friendly. Aviod the room without a view.

This hotel was situated about 2 minute walk from the train station and it also have restaurants and 7-11 around it. We have enjoyed our stay at Citadines; however, the breakfast was a shocker... If you have decided to stay in this hotel for the location, I would recommen NOT TO purchase breakfast from the hotel as the food provided was really up to […] standard! It was a lovely hotel with very friendly staff who greeted you as you arrived and left the hotel. The room was quite spacious and we had a fridge, microwave and a hotplate. It was within walking distance of the railway station and close to all public transport. It also had tv with English speaking tv shows.

It's quite convienient location, only one subway stop from Kyoto station. I would not recommend to bring so many luggage as subway do not have elevator at the exits.

We just stayed in Kyoto for one night. The Hotel location was convenient. The room was really new,spacious,nice and tidy. The hotel staff were friendly and nice. We were satisfied with all hotel service.

The Citidines Kyoto was a very good place for our 5 days in Kyoto. The rooms were spacious (the largest of any during our stay in Japan), they had everything I needed, and the staff was very helpful (and spoke English). We were right by a subway stop, and within walking distance of several decent restaurants. I also enjoyed the breakfast - enjoyed talking […] to other guests and the unlimited coffee. We were there right after the big earthquake - though Kyoto was unaffected by any of it - and having CNN in English on the TV was helpful (well, hysterical coverage, but basically helpful). This luxury apartment hotel is located one metro stop or 15-min walk from the train station which made it very convenient to get to and from. The rooms are spotless and well maintained. The only issue was the small size of the room and bathroom (that's why I'm giving it 4 for comfort), but that's normal for Japan. The Citadines Kyoto is a super clean, centrally located hotel, within walking distance to the main shopping areas and Gion. The rooms were modern and clean. I stayed in a twin room and there was plenty of room for two people. The staff at the hotel were friendly and spoke excellent english. They were also on hand to offer great advice about tourist […] destinations and how to get to them. The 101 bus which goes to all the tourist destinations is across the road, and the hotel is one stop from Kyoto station and metres from the Gojo subway station. One of the best hotels we have stayed at in Japan. Easy access to the subway station, within walking distance to all the major sights. The rooms are relatively large by Japan standards, clean and modern, with everything you need.

This hotel was everything we could have asked for. Quite new with modern decor. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The concierge was exceptionally helpful and all too happy to call a couple of places we wanted to visit for further information. Location is also very convenient, with the subway right on the corner.

No complaints except for the location. Though near Gojo Station, you will always need to take a ride to Kyoto Station to make your way to most of the places of attraction, temples, etc. Travelling by bus is convenient as there are bus-stops nearby. Will recommend to stay near Kyoto Station.

This was a great choice in Kyoto. Close to the main train station and right on a subway line. It's nit in the heart of the action but within a 15 minute walk to key areas. The hotel is clean, comfortable, cool and modern. The staff was very very helpful and friendly.

The staff at the Citadines have exceptionally good English. This plus their extremely helpful and thoughtful customer service puts them ahead of others. Location: get out at Exit 1 of the Gojo subway station (which is just one stop away from the JR Kyoto station). This is quite a long walk up and down stairs (no elevator) for you to get to. To get to […] Citadines, don't cross the road, just face the road called Karasuma Dori, walk to your left for less than 100 metres to the hotel-service apartment. There are some dining outlets just outside the subway exit that you can also ask for directions. If you need to ask for directions, it helps to show people a printout of the hotel booking which bears the name and map to Citadines as it is new, just opened in July 2010. The location was perfect for our needs: within walking distance of Daimaru and the main business/shopping district at Shijo-dori (literally '4th street'. We could easily walk to Nishiki market and got fresh and cooked food to heat up in the service apartment. We could also walk to Gion, another tourist site. The apartment is also within walking distance of the buses to Arashimaya Onsen (hotsprings) and subway to other tourist spots like the former Imperial Palace. Note that you need to apply for a permit to visit the Palace as no walk-in visitors are allowed in. There are numerous dining places near the apartment. The staff will direct you to some of them. The staff is very friendly and they speak english which was very helpful. The hotel offers breakfast for a price and its located within walking distance of Kyoto train station (6-10 minutes). You can take the subway but it was better to walk in the good weather. The rooms are big for Japan styles. Very clean with a small kitchenette with refrigerator, […] micro oven, and a small stove. You have a 7-11 right across the street. There are a bunch of different restaurants around including McDonalds. Subway exit is about 500 feet away. 2 subway stations farther from the hotel location, you have center city with all the shopping and restaurants you want. Definitely would stay in this hotel again. I am very impressed by the staff at Citadines, Kyoto as they took the initiative to send our luggages to our rooms (all my other hotels in Japan never do that). In addition, they also speak good english which aided us in our travel plans. I really like the deco of the lobby and when I stepped into the room, it was of a good size. There was a small kitchen […] with utensils, definitely a good place to stay for long holiday. Great value

The hotel is located on the busy Gojo street but our room had no balcony so it was facing the backyard. No view but very quiet. Very convenient at 100 meter from subway station (Gojo) wich is 1 station away from the JR train station. On this street you could find anything you need (foodstore, drugstore etc..). The room look and feel very fresh and everything […] is extremely convenient in it. The 2 doors closet was welcomed to hang our clothings, the small kitchen and the tableware (including 2 glasses of wine) very usefull. We stayed there for 6 nights and we have nothing to say against this very good place. We would return there no questions. 駅横でアクセスはとても便利。コンビ二も目の前で、たいへん便利でした。お風呂(&シャワー）は湯量も豊富で使いやすかったです。簡易キッチン付きのアパートホテルで、気軽に泊まれました。

長期滞在に向いていると思います。京都の市場で食材を買って,京都で暮らすように滞在が楽しめる、日本では数少ない宿泊施設です。

Muy buen apart hotel. Tiene cocina. No està en pleno centro pero tiene estacion de metro a 50 metros y varios buses pasan cerca. Excelente atencion. La unica critica es que no cambian dolares y esto te obliga a buscar un banco.
