Andalucia Golf Tanger - Tangier

What surprised us most is that in a 5-star hotel, absolutely none of the service or someone receptionists spoke English, that is, either French or Arabic or knew you were not going to understand with absolutely anyone. The attention of the rooms and the cleanliness was quite limited. The first day we warned that we needed a pillow on the bed and climbed […] in the 5 days estubo at the hotel. As for cleaning, washing was all like cat, replenished towels and bath accessories and made the bed, but there was dust and hair on the floor accumulated other days. The location of the hotel, even if you switch which is 5 minutes from the heart of Tangier, is a delusion, it is very removed from all the main points of Tangier, you have to take taxi for everything. It is convenient to visit the city and sightseeing. Finally, for a 5-star hotel where you will not give away the evening precisely, additional services includes absolutely none in the price, or mini-bar, or Turkish bath, and spa ... everything must be paid to part ... In Spain (where I live), a 5-star hotel, at least let you swim in their pools, spas or enjoy the saunas, are not due apart. Apart from all the comments of the hotel, about Tangier, very little to do, and what little can be seen, or closed (museums) or not let you in (mosques). The remaining streets and locals, a lot of shit everywhere, very hostile environment with non-French foreigners who try to deceive you and change the minimum and get you all the money they can. You can not ask for help because I tell you they will charge for any street and, above, is very easy to miss as tour guides in maps are very bad (only tell you three or four main streets) All other streets have no name or on the map with which you try to guide, or in the same street. We booked Andalucia Golf Tanger Hotel in Tangier through Hotels.com. Got a great price for a 5-Star hotel. It is only a year old. Hotel is beautiful, with bright common areas, two bars, two restaurants, a greeter in traditional Moroccan garb who meets you at registration with damp washclothes and hot mint tea, a large front desk that is always fully-staffed, […] and fabulous rooms. Our room had a large balcony with table and chairs on it, overlooking the hills in Tangier's high-end neighborhood. It would be a long walk from the Grand Socco or Medina, but the taxis weren't that expensive. I was glad not to have our hotel in the "thick of things." Was so relaxing. Food in the restaurants, especially the breakfast buffet, was excellent. The staff was helpful. The beautiful, wooded golf course is only a block away, and the street (Cap Spartel) was easy enough to walk along to get beverages from stores that less than a half mile away. The room itself was very large, with two beds together as a king, which worked just fine. Extremely comfortable beds, lots of pillows, desk, chairs, etc., in the room, plus a large bathroom with separate tub/shower, granite sink, and separate toilet and bidet area. Flatscreen TV with some English-language channels was really nice. It was March and the outside pool was not open, but it was in a beautiful setting inside the hotel's courtyard area and would be a delight in the summer months. My only criticisms are that the room did not have a lighted clock with alarm, and I could not access email from its business center, as it was all in French. But I am sure that can be easily fixed. We visited the Continental Hotel in the Medina, and saw some of the others, even other new hotels. I was so glad to have picked the Andalucia, as I feel it was one of the two very best hotels in the city, and I liked its quieter neighborhood as compared with the other 5-star hotel we visited (I do highly recommend stopping into the El Mihnza for a drink.) Et utrolig flott hotell med utrlig flott service, hotellt ligger en liten kjøre tur unna sentrum, men taxi koster ikke mye og det var godt å bare nyte stillheten. Det beste hotellet jeg noen gang har vært på. Og servicen på hotellet er utrolig bra. Bassenget er flott, rommene er flotte og maten er god. Anbefales på det sterkeste.

Very good hotel. Nice room and many options of restaurants in the hotel. Very friendly staff if you only show some interest for them. The bathroom is nice but they could improve for not dripping water outside the shower. For golf lovers it is the must.

Du bon et du moins bon. La chambre 347 attribuée donne sur la piscine en rénovation à coup de marteau piqueur. Le ménage est à moitié fait, oreiller enfoncé, coton tige usagé dans l'évier. Il semble que qq'un ai fait un petit somme après le ménage... Un ronflement de clim prononcé nous convaint de demander un changement de chambre. On nous propose […] la 350. Changement complet. Très belle chambre avec balcon donnant sur le golf et deux belles fenêtres sur Tanger. Le ménage est fait mais moyennement. Le personnel de reception et restauration est aimable et efficace. This hotel is only 6 months old. The rooms are good size, clean and if you're lucky you get a room with a very nice view. The pool is big and nice. The restaurant is quite big and nice. The breakfast is very good. They have a buffet dinner that is recommended by us. It starts at 09:00 pm. The staff are polite and attentive but not all can speak English […] fluently.
