"Nobody does it like Marriott!"
I stayed at this Springhill Suites because I had such a great experience at the one in Harrisburg, PA. It lived up to the Marriott reputation. The room was fabulous, clean, comfortable. The hotel was immaculate. In fact, it was too busy! The breakfast buffet was so crowded that there was barely room to sit. They were running out of eggs faster than […] they could make them. My only (very minor) complaint was that the bartender was not very professional--on his cell phone and checking his facebook from the hotel's business center computers. Stayed here due to excellent reviews on Trip Advisor and Hotels.com. Hotel experience was fine in general but not great. Very small pool. Loved the hotel. Well located with lots of resturants and shopping nearby. Room was huge, clean, with all amenities. The lobby was bright and welcoming. Staff very attentive. Good breakfast included. Wish I had been able to be there more than one night. Highly recommend this hotel.

"Upscale hotel at great price!"
Beautiful hotel from the lobby to the rooms! Enjoyed the bar in the lobby, the pool and the hot tub (perfect temp!), and the lovely, modern, upscale room. Room was so nice we really didn't want to leave!! Breakfast was also excellent with many hot options. We will definitely look to stay in a SpringHill Suites in the future.
Love this hotel. Stay here every time we visit Chapel Hill.

"Stained Carpets & Stinky Room"
Customer Service was great at the hotel! When we arrived in our room the carpets had awful stains, so we asked for another room and it was granted without any problems. However once we arrived in our second room it also had stains on the carpet (less than first room) but, it was only a couple. The second problem I had with the room was that it had a […] horrible aroma that I could not get rid of even with air freshner. The smell of the room was that of something stale, and not even air freshner helped. We dealt with the room only because we were only staying one night. The "kitchen" consisted of a small microwave with 2 paper plates and a dorm size cube fridge not big enough for a take out container. This hotel was very clean and modern. Loved the layout of the (king) room. Staff was friendly and polite. The location was very convenient to downtown Durham as well as to I-40. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a lovely hotel near a shopping center and very accessible to the Duke University Campus. The employees were courteous and helpful and we were extremely pleased with our stay there. Checking in and checking out were easy, and we would certainly stay there again.
