I would recomend this hotel. It is quite good location to visit White House and other attractions.

The house is very pretty and well kept, Keith and Lydia are extremely nice and helpful, room and bathroom are tasteful and very clean. Excellent breakfast We will stay there again and gave this address to friends.
"More than your money's worth"
The proprietors are friendly, the rooms spotless and charming, the breakfast satisfying. I stayed for two nights and was surprised that the bed was not made nor the bathroom cleaned after the first night, although the trash was emptied. That's really my only complaint, though, such as it is. Everything else was wonderful.

I'm from the DC area, and had never spent much time in this area. This B&B is a real find. The house is lovely outside and in. I stayed in the copper room and found it to be really comfortable. This was one of the most wonderful places I've ever stayed. The owners were wonderfully friendly, and Keiths breakfasts were to die for- Just the thing on a cold DC morning. I can't wait to get back...
"Centrally located magnificent Victorian house"
Innkeepers Lydia and Keith could not be more gracious, sharing details of the neighborhood, the city, and philosophy in general! Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast outstanding, with no repetition from one day to the next.

Great experience. Comfortable and clean as well as pretty. I may be a bit fussy but I like softer pillows. Other than that fantastic including the breakfast! The hosts were the nicest and brightest people running a B and B . Very lovely people. Nice flat screen t.v. and nearby restaurants and great museums.

"Outstanding hospitality"
My stay at Mt Vernon Square B&B was very nice. A quiet retreat from the conference hotel. The owners were awesome. The breakfast was a real treat! This will be my first choice to stay for meetings near the Capital.

Our visit with Keith and Lydia was wonderful all around. When we had need they seemed to just materialize and visit as long as we wanted. We are only an hour away from DC, but we wanted to find somewhere nice to stay for a night away before the Redskins/49ers game the next day. I could not have been happier about the choice to stay here! Thank you guys for everything. The B&B is great!

We were surprised to find this bed & breakfast in DC, and also surprised that it cost less to stay there than most hotels. It is beautiful, charming, immaculately clean & very well maintained. "Mt. Vernon Square B & B"
Relaxing, handy, quiet, well-appointed, helpful management, good food, half the price of down-town hotels.
Lydia and Keith are wonderful. They made us feel welcome from the time we made our reservations until the time they helped up load our luggage in the car at the curb. They provided us with a personal breakfast on the first morning, and it was fabulous! They will certainly be on our list the next time we go back to D.C.

From the moment we arrived we felt like welcomed guests. Keith made sure that we were well acquianted with the "systems" in the house and helped us with all during our arrival. We stayed on the second floor so there were many steps but no problem - Keith carried the bags for us, Lydia cooked beautiful and welcoming breakfasts and both were informative […] and helpful. The B&B is only a five minute walk from the convention center and many center city attractions at a price which is so much more reasonable than the big, box hotels. We highly recommend the Mt. "Now my "Go To" stay when in DC"
This B & B experience was far nicer than staying in any hotel. The room was fantastic and very private, as well as being immaculately kept while providing a warm, cozy feel. That said, what really separated this place from any other we've stayed in while vacationing or on business was Keith & Lydia (the couple who own & run this B & B). "Mt Vernon B&B"
This was a last minute booking and I was very satisfied I picked this place. Mt Vernon B&B was much more than I had imagined in a B&B. It was very comfortable, well decorated, and the owners were very accommodating and I haven't even gotten to the best part. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! I would stay here again without hesitation.
Very welcoming and friendly host and hostess; excellent breakfast and very convenient walking distance to everything you want to see in the Capitol Hill area of Washington. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
"Best little secret in DC"
I was so lucky to find this place. I had the best accommodations for a great price and it included a delicious breakfast. It has all the amenities of a 5 star hotel in a beautifully restored home from the early 1900's. The owners were very flexible with my schedule. I arrived very late and was greeted by a very nice man that made sure I had everything […] I needed. I had an early meeting, and they were willing to serve me breakfast a whole hour before their regular time they serve breakfast. The location was perfect. I was able to walk to my meeting which allowed me to catch a glimpse of the city and save on a taxi fare. It is also located very close to the subway system. This is a great alternative to a hotel in DC -- rooms are enormous and well appointed, the owners are accommodating and gracious, breakfast was delicious. It's a 3-block walk from the Metro stop and Convention Center. There's not much in the immediate neighborhood by way of food or entertainment, so plan on dinner elsewhere.

The proprietors live on site, very friendly and accomodating without making you uncomfortable in any way - very clean/nice home within walking distance to most everything - a nice change from paying twice or three times as much at brand name hotels.

Close to Metro, many dining choices, office supplies, and just about anything you would need. The staff are wonderful, friendly and very willing to help.

The room was comfortable. The food was excellent. Local restaurants, grocery store, and liquor store nearby. The neighborhood in general is a bit run down which might cause some concerns for unseasoned and sensitive travelers. I had fried catfish for breakfast there and I loved it!

Our stay at Mount Vernon was lovely. The house is fantastic, and the location is great (especially for getting back to the freeway), so I couldn't be more pleased. The neighborhood has really started to change, and it's nice to see an old-time resident taking part in, and benefiting from, the revival.

Ett väldigt mysigt och familjärt boende i centrala Washington. Nära till många turistattraktioner. men ändå avsides och ej särskilt högljutt runtomkring. Ett bed and breakfast där man bor hemma hos ett medelålderspar som gärna berättar och tipsar om var man kan äta gott, ta sig runt och se och uppleva i Washington. ホテル代の高いことで有名なNYとワシントンDC。＄１００ちょっとでこんな落ち着けるB&Bはめったにない。建物はロンドンによくあるタウンハウス調であるが、部屋はクラシカルでそこかしこに趣味のよい美術品が飾られている。そんなことよりホストとホステスはとても親切で、痒いところにも手がとどくように何くれとなく世話を焼いてくれることが何よりも素晴らしい。しかもちっとも押し付けがましくない。欠点をあげつらえば、各部屋にバスルームやトイレが付いていないこと位だ。ワシントンDCを再訪する機会があったら是非また利用したいし、もし大ホテルが嫌いな人がいたら、声を大にしてこのB&B\を推奨したい。
