we had a very nice stay to the hotel. The rooms where suprisingly useful. The washer and dryers was a blessing, and having a ful kitchen was great, so we didin't have to leave and eat out at expensive resteraunts.

We got put in what was probably a former 2 star hotel that had been renovated and was part of the GRR but was not in the main building. A bit of false advertising re photos on website. You had to walk across the parking lot / road to get to the main building where pool and amenities were. Negatives;The room was not all that clean. The track for the patio doors was caked in dirt and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while and some of the cupboards had old spills still on them. Just expected a little more attention to detail from a four star hotel. The room was nice but extremely bare, there was not a single picture or anything. […] Just something we noticed but not really a big deal. the hotel staff was very nice, there was a wedding at the hotel, so they upgraded our room at no extra charge.food in the resturant was very good and the server was awsome. only about a block from the train tracks but you barely notice it. awsome views of the mountains all around, close to downtown, liquor store, convience store and the highway. we […] had a fireplace in our room, balcony, king sized bed, and a realy nice stand up shower in the bathroom. the hot tub and pool are great as well.overall i would give this hotel a 4/5 stars,and would go back for sure. highly recommend this hotle for anybody looking for a nice comfy place to stay. We checked in to find the childrens pool closed for "maintenance", so right at prime time kids arent allowed in the main pool making the hot tub area over loaded with children. I need to mention the fact that there are not any changing facilities or any place to leave your cloths, coat or robe. (single person washroom only). Our room was in the "Boutique" […] building so we also had to walk outside across the parking lot to get to the main lobby and pool area. Our room ws okay, nice decor but I don't think I slept at all due to the overly stuffed pillows and furnance fan that would wake me up everytime in kicked in. We went back to the hottub in the morning around 9 am, the hottub was now closed for maintenance. Why they don't do maintence when the pool is closed is beyond me. Poor managment sums it up I would guess. The facility looks very nice and would be a great place for children due to the water slides but I wouldn't trust the fact that the pool is open as advertised. I will never stay at this resort again. I was in a suite with two bedrooms and all conveniences. I was able to live in the suite like an appartment. I strongly recommend and will return soon.

This was our second time staying at the Grande Rockies Resort. The kids loved the pool and waterslide, the adults loved the hot tub as well as the spa like steam shower in the room. We needed extra towels amd they were brought to us within minutes. Customer Service was fantastic! The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. I can't say enough! This hotel can boast a convenient location with spectacular views. It was clearly the slow season (February 2012) with the dining room not open for dinner, a call required to have the room cleaned, no coffee, creamer or sweetener for the coffee machine, and a week's worth of dust on the bedside tables. Although it was a little higher than the price range I would have liked to stay within, the hotel staff was exceptional and provided great suggestions.

The hotel was nice and clean. The pool was great. The only complaint I have is that there was an obvious shortage of cleaning staff. There were bags upon bags of dirty laundry in the hallway for most of the day and evening as well as room service trays in the hallway.

Stayed for one night but wish we could of stayed longer, Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was exactly how it was described and looked in the pictures.

There was tomeny kids and we found someone's underwear in our room and we had to leave a message to order food

very impressed with our king luxury room. service was good. parking was good.

Room had some deficiencies, lounging chairs with no lighting available should you want to relax and read in the evening, no bathtub, closet to short to hang cloths in (ie shirts, jackets) and last but not least, parking spaces too narrow--many parked Vehicles (trucks and some cars where taking up more than one space) leaving limited spaces available […] to park even as early as 5:00PM at night. If you went out in the evening you could potentially return and have no place to park. Very clean, comfortable beds! Awesome room.

The 2 things I was not impressed with was 1st the service from the desk when calling to have a fight in the hall stopped at around 10pm, she did not seem to care and the yelling went on for 20 minutes before someone came to put an end to it. Secondly, when I went to the desk the following morning to ask if the laundry was going to be picked up every […] morning at 7am if so I wanted another room. The woman could care less and actually pretended to write my room # on a piece of paper to get back to me...big shocker I never heard from her! I understand laundry has to be picked up but we reserved early enough to get a better room the same room we had to wait 1 hour to get into after checking in at 4:30pm with a 6 year old..not good! we stay in the front building where the hotel style rooms are the service was great ,wine bottle opener and glasses brought to room , there was dishes on the hall way and dishes on the lobby from a conference they shoud have been picked up after a few hours , the room was nice and the bed the best part of it. i did not go to the main building as […] we went out for ddinner and had no time. the noon check out was very usefull i was very sattisfied Przeczytaj więcej

The service was great! The room was clean and spacious and the pool and hot tub were very relaxing. The pool is very family friendly and the out side hot tub was very relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Canmore !

The rooms are modern. The showers are huge, the coffee makers brew a perfect cup each time and the king size bed and sheets will help you relax in royalty comfort. Our stay was over New Year's Eve, we were in one of the adjoining buildings to the main hotel, overlooking a field on our balcony with the main highway in the distance. Part of the hotel […] is close to the highway, you may want to specify when booking to be away from it. We had a clogged sink, it was cleared by the maid who was friendly in the hallway. We sat by the warm fireplace in the lobby, the hotel must have organized a scavenger hunt as there were kids having fun finding clues and there was also free hot apple cider and hot chocolate for a couple hours each afternoon (not sure if this is a regular thing or something special for New Years). There was also a fire pit going outside eachnight which you could warm up by and enjoy the outdoorsy smell it offered. I went for a relaxing getaway and that is what I had at this hotel. Very modern and clean. The bed was absolutely amazing! The breakfast was so good. It was a little noisy being so close to the main road, but I think most hotels in Canmore are. One other thing I noticed, they advertise in-room spa services but when I called the spa they said they do not offer in-room services, you must go to the spa located on the second […] floor. My wife purchased this "King room" based on the pictures on this site and the hotel site. DO NOT BE DECIEVED! unless you are getting a 1 or 2 bedroom suite you are not in the building pictured your room is NOT AS PICTURED. what you will be receiving upon checking in is a nice walk across the parking lot to the "shack" which I thought was for the workers […] to stay in. and if you want to use the pool in the winter there is no changing areas so get in your suit and RUN to the building and freeze as you run the 120 feet back to the “shack” Upon entering the "shack" we noticed the locked door was broken and the sprinkler board was malfunctioning and beeping loudly. As we were walking down the dimly lit hallway @5:30 in the afternoon there were bags of soiled linen and garbage. The room was and I’m not joking 2 feet larger than the bed on the sides and there was 2 feet between the foot of the bed and the table that held the TV. I might point out that the room was clean and odor free but just because you can "fit" a king bed doesn't mean you should sell it as a "king suite" it was more like a king closet. Of course we complained so we were given a different room on the third floor which was bigger by around a foot but when we went to use the elevator to go downstairs it violently shook to the side and got stuck. We were stuck on the 3rd floor for maybe 10 minutes at which time the door opened and we jumped out. Also the covered parking spots are small and I drive a compact car and I barely fit in the spot. Don’t get me wrong the main building was nice but you will not be staying in the nice building. This place was great especially if you have a family. Though I would not order the food. Our dinner was late and burnt and they still had the nerve to charge us for it. Next time we will use the kicten included in the room to make our meals.

What a great place to stay. My king suite was beautiful! The kitchen was elegant and the entire suite gorgeous and very comfortable. I wish I could have stayed for more than one night!!!

Love this hotel! The beds and linen are so comfortable. Facilities are overall great. Havent tried the restaurant yet, but I'm sure I'll be back!

This is a most beautiful property. Our room was spacious, the wifi worked great, the food was impecable, the service superb...we had just driven for over 500 kms and this was the perfect respite to a tiring day..keep up the good work Jean

The hotel is nice, new and contemporary. The beds are comfortable, the staff very friendly, and the food at the restaurant was very good. I would stay there again and recomend it to others.

it is a very nice suite with conservative but impressive decor and efficiently organized floor plan. We enjoyed the consideration offered by making available the wall mounted lcd tv with a blu-ray player, the leather couch, the comfortable king sized bed, a complete set of cooking wares and appliances. It was clean, comfortable and provided more luxury then expected for the price. Service was great.

The hotel staff where friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. Onsite restaurant was was very nice. Pool was well maintained. The only downside was the noise from the patrons above us. We seemed to hear every movement they made. Possibly due to the hardwood flooring in the bedrooms. Other than that the Hotel was excellent. We would stay again.

Good hotel, convenient location except for the fact that sitting on your balcony to view the magestic mountains meant you had to get used to the closeness of the Trans Canada hwy in front of you. Pool and hottub were just fine and the 2 BR was good enough with 4 teens sharing the space with 2 adults

Was surprised how nice of hotel this was - I beleive it is mainly a timeshare. Very nice room, amazing showers and bathtubs. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Very large place - took a while to walk around and find everything.

nice hotel in the main area, we were stuck in their side building and it was poor internet connection, the ice machine didnt work, and the elevator was terrible, not sure how the main hotel was but again the side building was not very good plus it was right beside a mechanic and while the mountain views are nice we also had to stare at car parts and […] a junk yard. The staff were all friendly, the pool area was awesome! good place if you have kids and the hottub was so hot, it was great! As for the room itself, it was very clean, the bed was incredibly confortable and big, the shower was probably the nicest feature.
