It was simple and dated but has a decent breakfast , nice pool, and is conveniently located. We were in town for a basketball tournament and were hardly in the room. I would stay there again but wish they had a better selection of tv channels.

I will not return to this hotel again. Our room was freezing (the hallway was warmer) & it took 3 calls to the front desk before they said they'd send someone up & then after 15 minutes of waiting, we just said forget it. The room itself was fine, old but clean, however we had no extra pillows or blankets. The bathroom needed a lot of work. The toilet […] paper rolls were empty, there was "stuff" on the sink & the shower had grime in the corner. The room description included a refrigerator which there was none in the room. The layout of the hotel was confusing. We felt as if we were walking in circles getting nowhere. The pool area was very dated. They were either remodeling/repainting or left a lot unfinished last time because half of the pool area was painted differently than the other half & the wall scones had white rings around them from where there was no paint. More than half of the lights were burnt out in the pool area & it was so dim in there that I was uncomfortable letting my kids swim. The breakfast that was included consisted of stale cereal, store-bought danish & a badly working waffle maker. I can't even be grateful for the orange juice because it was thick & chunky. I don't usually write reviews however my experience at this hotel was really rotten & I guess if I can prevent someone else from having a rotten experience, I will. I don't expect much from an inexpensive hotel, but I've stayed in some cheap hotels & this was by far my least favorite. Przeczytaj więcej

It was a place to stay. The patio door came off tracks when opened. The tub didn't drain when shower was used. Only one ice machine was working in our area of the hotel. The desk person on 2nd. shift was rude. We called for towels to be brought to the pool and was told that she just brought some down, well, they were gone. I also was disappointed by […] the young kids swimming in the hot tub so we couldn't even use it. Also, my granddaughter, whom this trip was for, got swimmers ear and have to have it treated when she got home at quite the expense to her parents. Would I recommend this establishment? This hotel was terrible. The outside looked cruddy, the pool had too many chemicals, and the hot tub was not clean, not very hot, and made a member of our family sick. The free breakfast was bad because the waffle maker made the waffle stick to the top, and some to the bottom. There was no cooking spray offered. The only thing that was convient about this hotel was it's location right off the highway. There was no one at the front desk and we had to wait over 20 min. The lobby and room had a very bad smell to them. This is the second Econo Lodge that we have stayed at that we have been dissapointed in. We will not be staying at another one.

The people that work at this hotel are wonderful. Unfortunatly, this didnt make up for the condition of the building. The room was clean but beneath the pealing wall paper in the shower was mold. The room itself looked like it had just been renovated (new carpeting, wall paper etc) but there was a bad odor present. We arrived on a very humid day, but […] the room was also so humid that the sheets felt damp until the heat was run for awhile. Granted, this was an 'economy' stay, but it wasnt worth even the amount paid, the room was originally booked for two nights but we cut our trip short and headed home after a one night stay. For a low price we got a clean, comfortable room with breakfast. The only complaint I have is that the amenities promised on Hotels.com of Wi-Fi, a refrigerator and microwave were nowhere to be found in our room.

The location of this hotel--just off the freeway--is perhaps the best thing I can say about it. The room smelled musty and ever so slightly of urine, the floor was tacky, and we did not get a visit from room service between the first night and the second. The evening of our first stay, our sink was blocked and the staff provided me with a plunger and […] a "no one is on duty who can take care of this until the morning." Luckily I was able to do this rudimentary plumbing but in a hotel we really shouldn't have to. At breakfast, there was one staff person to manage the front desk, reload the food in the display cases,and wrestle with waffle maker that was sorely in need of a clean. The waffle maker won. Only some of the ice machines worked but none were labeled "Out of Order" or anything useful about their function. We had minimal needs--two beds, one working television, and one working radio alarm--so we were able to have a satisfactory stay. However, the overall rundown condition of the room and other facilities means I am unable to recommend anyone stay at this place unless--as was the case with us--the Americinn across the parking lot is already full. We were thrilled with the inexpensive price. But, with service, you do get what you pay for. We had to wait to check in because there was only one employee -- and she was helping a guest in their room. Then, she was still alone later in the evening and couldn't leave to refill pool towels, so guests needed to walk to the desk to get their own. The […] next morning breakfast wasn't bad, but it was all carbs -- danish, toast, bagels, cereal, English muffins, muffins and waffles... but the waffles were sticking and not turning out. We visited the pool after breakfast opn our second day and needed to go to the desk to get the pool towels again because only one person was working. Then, the following day, we needed to wait to check out because the only available employee was refilling breakfast items. The pool was nice, the rooms were clean and we loved the location. Room was clean and roomy. It was located by the swimming pool area and was quiet after swimming hours were over. Continental breakfast was good but it could of used some fruit and more than one waffle maker.

Not the Ritz but okay for a nights stay. Room had an interior and exterior entry which was convenient for unloading/loading. Enjoyed the restaurant next door.

Enjoyed our stay at the Econolodge in Menomonie, WI. The only problem we had was the key didn't work too well every time we used it we had to insert it many times to get the door open. All else was great. All of the employees were great.

Everything was nice - I'm not picky just want a quiet place to sleep when I'm traveling somewhere. It was easy to get to, room was clean, shower was good, no problems with wi fi, lots of stations on the tv. The hotel was exactly what i expected, maybe a little more for the price we payed. They had a great pool and hot tub, although the chemicals seemed quite strong (that is common for public pools) the breakfast was very nice, too.
