Ginza is the place to stay when in Tokyo - elegant, packed with shops, restaurants, cafes and all other amenities. And in Ginza nothing can surpass the Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier. Price/value is excellent, staff is extremely helpful and friendly, breakfasts are great, location is perfect for all Tokyo attractions. Add superb views on either Ginza or the Sumida river and the Tokyo Bay and you know why you want to stay in this hotel. The hotel boasts great design and has great atmosphere. How about a dinner in their restaurant overlooking Tokyo? Rooms are smallish, but this is Tokyo, and their rates there is no reason to complain. Our next stay in Tokyo will be in this hotel. Perfect!

Hotel's look is not very impressive, but it has all you need if you visit Tokyo for sightseeing.Rooms with bathroom,TV,A/C,fridge,teapot,hairdryer,Internet access.Easy to find, near Ginza Line's Inaricho metro station.Close to Ueno and Asakusa district.Nice people at reception desk will always help you and in hotel you will find useful informations boarded.Just around the corner there is a convenience store and a restaurant.Hotel is a great start place for sightseeing Tokyo-afterall, you're not gonna just sit in the room.I had a great time in Tokyo this October,thanks to the Oak Hotel. Nice hotel, nice room, enough for 2 people, we stayed there 3 nights. Clean, tidy, and the staff was nice. Opposite the street is Lawson 100 - you can buy there products for 100 yen.

Sights in themselves, hotels include the New Otani complex, featuring a garden that was once owned by a Tokugawa regent, and ANA Hotel Tokyo, which has skyline views rivaling those of Tokyo Tower.

The rooms were big, defiantly for Tokyo standards. Also the best part was each room came with a electric massage chair. The beds were very firm but not too bad unless you need a soft bed. The rooms were clean and overall the hotel was a great deal.
"Great room for the money"
We stayed at the Avanshell from October 16-20 and were pleased with what we paid. We stayed in the Relaxation Twin, which is huge (45 sqm) and very clean. The shower and toilet were excellent and the mirror even had anti-fog technology. Room decor was looking somewhat but everything seemed pretty new. There was a big dresser, safe, minifridge that included […] 2 bottles of complimentary water per day, desk, internet (they provide a CAT5 cable), 2-person sofa, coffee table, tv, AC, balcony, and massage chair. Of particular note was the massage chair, which we definitely used after long days walking around the city. The only thing I really didn't like were the beds, which I found a little stiff and uncomfortable. I had trouble sleeping the first couple of nights but they may have been from the jet lag as my friends seemed to sleep fine. Also, reserving a non-smoking room is not guaranteed. We did so but ended up getting a smoking room upon check-in. The hotel does lack some traditional services like a concierge and business center. However, the staff were ready to help when we asked for directions albeit with limited English. If you are looking for places to eat, there are many nearby. The street near the subway exit has plenty of restaurants if you simply walk along it. Speaking of the subway, take exit no.2 from Akasaka station and when you get to street level, take a left then an immediate left down the alley to get to the hotel, located at the end. The subway station isn't as convenient as others may be (there are no connecting lines) but we didn't find that to be too much of a problem.
