The hotel was great, old charm but with modern updates. The staff were very nice, the owner checked us in and even offered to carry our bags upstairs. The only thing was no aircon and we slept with the windows open. This was actually very nice until abt 5am when the street cleaner came by. As we were leaving I found earplugs on the sink beneath the […] soap...would have been nice to know they were there, then we would have had a great nights sleep! aparently the sweeper only comes by Friday mornings? Cute and very quiet hotel, blissfully comfortable beds and luxurious bedding, nice staff. Only drawback was location. Not much to do in the quiet little town of Camas and paper plant was smelly. But only 20 minutes from Portland, which was where we spent our days.

The Camas Hotel and personal were lovely. There was a sense of being in a European Bed and Breakfast, really well thought out and decorated. The convenience of having the kitchen right down the hall for self service food preparation and the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms was great.

This was a good value for the cheapest room (no breakfast, shared bathroom). Our room (#17) would have been a complete IKEA set, except for the gross stain on the old carpet. Otherwise, it was cute and hip, with a purple wall and tree-branch stencils. The room looked out through the large oaks in the historic district of Camas. (My wife loved that there […] were three vintage shops in only two blocks). The mattress was a bit pokey but the linens were crisp and white. WiFi was good enough to watch the finale of The Office in bed, so no complaints there. A train whistle or two came through at night only a couple blocks away, but I didn't really mind. We got breakfast at a nearby coffee/panini shop on 3rd so I can't comment on the breakfast. We arrived at 10pm and left by 8, so we saw very little of the staff to comment on. Przeczytaj więcej

A freshly remodeled small hotel in downtown Camas was a bargain and more. A quiet little hotel had such charm and hospitality it is on our to do list anytime we get near southern Washington State. Hotel is in the middle of the cute little town, there is only street parking so you may have to park a block away. Railroad tracks one block away, the train went by at 8-10 times in the night with the train horn blowing waking us. No hairdryer in room but the desk clerk finally found one and brought it to the room.

I think I got the bait and switch routine. Signed up for one room type private room with private bath and when I got to the hotel I was given a European room instead. I was told I could have a private room for more money. I refused and cancelled my reservation. One of the best hotels I've stayed in, quaint and just homey feeling. I had a small room, so it was a bit cramped but everything was so good about it, it just didn't matter. Karen was fabulous.

Good hotel, clean and friendly. Room is small and the double bed should be a Queen size. I would recommend the hotels for a stop over but not an extended stay.

The employees were so friendly. The rooms were small but lovely. The atrium area was perfect for relaxing with the newspaper. The hotel has an adjacent restaurant, which is closed now, so we had to find someplace else to dine.

Great hotel! Enjoyed our stay in this quaint little town. The only problem is that the hotel is NOT 2 miles from McMenimans Edgefield in Troutdale as stated. Maybe as the crow flies! But you must go to I-205 and then backtrack, about 30 minutes drive time. Very helpful and friendly staff!

The hotel is small but beautiful, it is very well kept and has a lot of character. The girls at the front desk were very friendly. When we checked in the girl was very nice and carried my mom's suitcase up the stairs. That would be the only negative is that there is no elevator, if anyone is not able bodied they would have difficulty with the stairs. […] Our room was cozy with a very comfortable bed and beautiful duvet. Staff was friendly but not available when needed. Water in shower was cold all time. Breakfast wasn't served in time and was scheduled late anyways (8.00am#. Located in a nice area #in WA) only 15 min from Portland, OR Airport.

Perfect small town location within easy drive to Portland without the traffic and expense of the big city. Great neighborhood for walking to restaurants, movie theatre, coffee, and exercise. We enjoyed staying at the Camas hotel.. The rooms had a lot of character. The only thing I didn't like was that you could hear and smell the paper mill at night. There were complimentary ear plugs in the hotel. The air conditioner was really loud too. The continental breakfast was decent - in a really neat "balcony" room. Service was very nice and friendly. […] I would had preferred a queen bed to a double but we booked this room 5 hours before staying in it! Bed was comfrotable though. The reviews of this hotel made me select it as our choice when going to Portland. We wanted to stay outside of Portland to save a bit of money, we didn't think we loved the hotel and the town as much as we did. It's a little one street town but super cute... the hotel could be charging double what it does .. it's as nice, if not nicer than any Fairmount […] , or Marriot I've stayed at. Actually, we stayed in a Marriot hotel in Seattle two nights over paid double what we did at the Camas hotel and hated every minute of the experince.. hhahahah... Yes say here. The receptionist called ahead to see if we needed directions. She provided a review of the surrounding resturants, as the hotel's resturant was closed on Monday night, to assist us in deciding if we should stop on the way for dinner or wait till we got to Camas to eat. I had to leave in the morning before breakfast on two separate days. The first morning, the hotel manager came in early and set out breakfast. The Camas Hotel was cozy and quaint but we could hear sounds and voices of other guests in the hotel. Also, the train tracks are nearby and the frequent trains blow their whistles as they go by. Service was friendly.

This hotel is very sweet. Only 20 minutes from the Portland Airport and yet tucked into a small atmospheric old town in Southern Washington on the Columbia Gorge. Great Hotel but advertised on Expedia as a queen bed. The bed was a full size. I'm 6'3 and 250 lbs and a full size bed does not cut it for my wife and I.

The room was very small but clean. Do not go to this hotel on a Thursday night because the parking is about a block away that night because of early morning street sweeping every Friday
