Parkside Victoria Resort and Spa - Victoria

I enjoy the building although I find the staff not overly friendly. For the amount of money being spent on staying here I expect more from their staff. I have stayed here twice (4 weeks total) and it probably will be the last time just based on service alone.

This hotel is great! Our bathroom had heated floors, the maids did a great job in our room everyday, they keep the hot tub nice and hot and the employees are friendly. Make sure you request a room in the "B" tower, though. We were in "A" and had to walk across the hotel to get to the pool. We were recently visiting victoria to introduce my new grandson to my 94 year old mother. The two adjoining rooms we had were perfect and had plenty of space to host a couple of family dinners and enjoy some nice family visits! We thoroughly enjoyed everything (except weather but who controls that?). Great location, facilities, friendliness of staff, cleanliness, enjoyed the hot tub and the quietness of the hotel. Only suggestion that we can think of to improve would be the cable service - very archaic guide and limited channels.

My two teens and I shared a one-bedroom suite last weekend. When we walked in the room, my daughter said "Wow! This is what my apartment is going to look like when I grow up!" We all loved the hotel! Our room was immaculately clean, comfortable furnished with a nice, firm bed. (The pillows were waaaay overstuffed - but that's really my only warning.) […] The lobby and pool were similarly beautiful and clean and the staff was lovely. Don't leave without eating in the attached bistro - it was our favorite food of all the meals we had. The grilled chicken sandwich with cabbage apple slaw was tender, moist, flavorful and interesting. A warm quinoa salad with chard satisfied the vegetarian and my son loved his spaetzle with Choux Choux bacon - whatever that is. We went back for breakfast - the quallity and the prices were that good! I've already recommended the hotel to two friends and would love to visit again. This is a green hotel, so it was built with the idea that guests would keep the windows open for circulation and/or cooling. There is no A/C unit in the city view rooms. Only the rooms that face the atrium actually have A/C. We went in March, so this really wasn't an issue for us as we kept the doors/windows open until we went to sleep. I can only imagine […] that this would be problematic in the summer since the hotel faces a somewhat busy street where there is traffic late into the night. For urban city dwellers, this might not be an issue but I live in the suburbs and I would find it hard to fall asleep. The room itself was great - it was pretty comfy for my family of 3. The bed comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 1 child. We made great use of the kitchenette for breakfast and dinner. The room does come with a small Washer/Dryer combo which, I think, a lot of people tend to overload (you can basically just wash 1 days worth of clothes in there, not a whole week). There is a pool which the kids can enjoy, and the hotel does show movies/sporting events in the small theater (which we didn't partake, but saw signs all over the place for it). Przeczytaj więcej

Love the hotel. Second time we've stayed here with our children. Convenient to have enough room for them all to sleep comfortably. Also nice to have the kitchen so we did not need to eat out at each meal. We also loved the pool. Only thing that was a little of a nuisance this time was that the room was so hot..... was 24C!

We stayed here for 2 nights with our children (1 and 5 years). They really enjoyed the room, the pool and the theatre. Although the movie did start over half an hour late and once it did start the DVD was scratched and it kept skipping. Other than that everything was fantastic. We stayed at the Parkside Victoria for two nights and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We had excellent service from the front desk and our room was great. A handy location to the harbour only two blocks away. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel portion was wonderful, desk staff very helpful. The rooms are time share units so you may not always get the same room. Depending on which side your room is the view may be wonderful, including the legislature, harbour and mountains of Washington State.

Enjoyed having the pool and full fitness facility handy as well as a very comfortable room at a very reasonable price. Hotel location is convenient to everything downtown within walking distance and super quiet at night. A new favourite when visiting friends and family in Victoria!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Parkside Victoria Resort located in beautiful Victoria BC. The location is close to the downtown/Inner Harbour as well as to local transportion services of the bus services as well as a regular stop for airline transportation. Victoria is a beautiful city with numerous walking trails that are well maintained and safe […] for solo travellers. The residents of Victoria are friendly and helpful. The hotel staff of Parkside Victoria are a pleasure to deal with and are all commited to making your stay the very best. Their friendly nature and welcoming attitude is exceptional. Restaurants are close by. The amenities of Parksde Victoria allow for entertaining in your suite as well as cooking your own meals in a well equipped kitchen. Of note, some local grocery stores will deliver to your suite for a fee of $5 which is affordable. The pool and hot tub are exceptional clean and kept at a very comfortable temperature. The gym is well equipped with high end exercise equipment. The spa services are a little on the pricey side however during the weekdays there are reductions each day that make it a little less costly. We will return. What a great place. Fantastic service, stunning LEED building. Big pool. The kitchen was such a bonus. Won't stay anywhere without a kitchenette now that we travel with a small child. The heating system was quite loud but that's common for hotels.

Location is beautiful. Very close to downtown, but back from the water a couple of blocks. Parking is either expensive or terrible on the street. Wonderful hotel. Great staff - they went the extra mile every time.

Location. Service. Room size. It was all ideal. I will happily stay here again! It's a great central location in Victoria leaving you free to walk to most tourist attractions and the best restaurants. Pool and hot tub access was a wonderful addition.

Our family of 4 (including two children under 5) plus a Grandma and Uncle stayed at the Parkside for three nights while visiting Victoria. We had a two bedroom suite. It doesn't get more comfortable than this place. Beautiful full kitchen, large dining area, balcony, two beautiful bathrooms, gas fireplaces in master bedroom and living room. Beautiful […] lobby and pool as well. We loved it! Our one and only complaint is that the laundry facility in the room was a combined washer/dryer. It took us several attempts to figure out how to use it and then after trying to dry a load of clothes for 2 days, we finally gave up. We also read every page of the lengthy instruction manual and still didn't get it. If you have a baby like us and need to wash clothes, you'll probably have to hang dry them unless our machine was broken or we just couldn't figure out what we were doing wrong. Been here 4 times before, whenever i had to work in town for the weekend. I live on the Peninsula. Convenient and comfortable and appreciate the gymn. Short walk to/from office for those late nights. I have stayed here many times, it is a one bedroom suite with all the conveniences. Parking is quite expensive at 15.00 per night, 2hr.max parking around hotel. Room this time was very dirty, walked on hardwood floors and noticed my feet on bottom were black, bathroom smelled. and tile flooring was stained. Beautiful one bedroom suite! More attention to detail required though... Robes missing, fireplace in bedroom defective, alarm clock going off in the wee hours of the morning. The ultimate concern was when we had two maintenance men enter our room while we were in bed to drop off a remote control for the fireplace. (I had insisted, when I called down […] earlier to the front desk, that we did not need to use the fireplace; that we just wanted it to be noted. The remote didn't work regardless) The dead bolt was on, but they must have used their metal key to get in. (a regular room key does not work when the dead bolt is on). The rooms are excellent, beds are great, well-equipped kitchenettes are a bonus. Bathrooms are not well equipped for seniors (no grab-bars). Two fireplaces and two big-screen TV's even in the basic suite. We enjoyed the pool and hot-tub. Staff members were efficient and congenial.

Was really surprised by the luxuriousness of our suite. The bed was very comfortable and the closet was very specious. The hot chocolate in the expresso cafe downstairs is delicious. The hotel is very close to everything. About a 5-minute walk to Downtown and Beacon Hill Park. The hotel has a spa, pool, and a movie theatre.
