"AC in the exercise room"
One of the few hotels in which I have stayed that AC was present in the exercise room. It may not seem like much, but to me it's huge!

My air conditioner was so loud I had to turn it off. My faucet leaked. I took a shower and found I had NO towels in the room, not even a wash cloth. Do NOT stay here!

Stayed in Columbia as a convenient place to drive to the Masters in Augusta. It was reasonably priced and an easy drive to Augusta. The hotel was very nice, quiet, clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
"noisey"
Road noise from nearby interstate very high in the room. Was on 2nd floor and people above were jumping up and down on bed and floor. Talked with the person at the front desk and NOTHING was done. Contacted a second time at 10:30 PM and still nothing - finally ended a little after midnight.

The only issues we had was that the key cards that were issued for the door locks kept de-magnetizing which was very inconvenient causing us to go back to the desk several times for a new card that worked. When we inquired as to why this was happening we were brushed off with "I don't know"....total lack of caring on the part of the front desk. Close location for graduation at Fort Jackson. Super friendly service from the front desk staff and housekeeping. Didn't appear to be a slow week but they upgraded my wife and I to a room with a jacuzzi tub. "Cold Shower"
While staying at this motel, the boiler apparently went down our first night so we had to take cold showers. The next day, the maintenance man couldn't quite figure it out - he was only able to get two of the three boilers working so our second night was warm at best showers. I talked to him in the lobby & explained that I used to work in the manufacturing […] of water heaters & boilers, so he asked me to take a look. It was a simple thermo-couple problem that would not allow the third boiler to heat. We finally got a hot shower. Also, when walking the property, I went to the back end behind the pool & there was a drainage ditch there - full of garbage & (OMG) used drug paraphernalia. No, I would not stay there again. Ever. The hotel was hard to find. Many guest go to one of the Fort Jackson Army Base gates to try and locate the hotel. The shower head in my room was broken and water hit the ceiling and ran down the walls onto the floor. The toilet seat was not secure and it felt as though you were on a rocking chair. I had a wonderful stay in a neat hotel. Very friendly staff. Hotel was hard to find I rode around for an hour trying to find it. Over heard the staff give guest directions continually on the phone. There needs to be a sign posted on the street explaining that the hotel is down the street after other hotels. It would save a lot of time. At night the […] small street sigh cannot be easily seen. Really enjoyed my stay. Most of the guest were there to see their family graduate from Boot Camp. I was close to the base and not to hard to find. Had a great time with my son and alot of his "battle buddies". All the families were friendly. We had a great time. Thanks and if I'm back in the area I will stay here again.

The beds were firm and comfortable. When I first took a shower the plug was in the tub and I did not know to twist and lift it. I dropped my towel in the water which left us short a towel. went to Fort Jackson for our dtrs Graduation from boot camp very happy with our accomodations also very easy access to the base our rooms were large and clean and comfortable

The hotel was very clean with everything in its place; I specially loved that window was able to be opened. My only disappointment was that coffee maker was too small. However, upon my next visit to SC, I will gladly make another reservation at Best Western Fort Jackson.

"Below par experience"
The experience was horrible. We arrived after 10 pm and there was no AC on in the room or in the hallway on the third floor. The knobs had been purposely removed so people could not adjust the settings. It had been around 90 degrees all day so the room felt like over 100 and took 2 hours before we could begin feeling cool and sleep. I would never stay at this hotel again and it gave us a very bad impression of Best Western. In fact, we avoided all Best Western's on the rest of our vacation due to this horrible experience! "Not Amazing :/ But Good for the Price"
Okay..complaints first: Light in entryway didn't even have a buld in it, table lamp didn't work, the shower spit at me, and our key would not get us in anywhere except our room. On the plus side..they gave us a jetted tub room when we paid for a standard room. :) Also the he bed was quite comfortable (which is a big deal to me). They need to have better service at the front desk and should not talk to patriots a bout firing their employees and they should not say room is nonsmoking when it is full of smoke.

comfortable bed, fair breakfast included - more fruit and some yogurt and a healthy cereal choice would have been nice. Overall satisfied for the rate.

Somewhat secluded but, recommend if need quiet and alone time. Not a lot of noise. Rooms are located indoor which is a very important factor to me and my family. Pool on outside which I prefer indoor pools.

"Stay"
The hotel room had problems with lighting. Since I was only there one night I did not report the problems till check out. There was one light switch for the light by the door, and three lamps of whice two did not work. However the room was clean, beds great, plenty of pillows. I would stay there again,

Our phone in the room did not work and we told them about twice each day and it never got fixed. House keeping would forget something each day 1st day no shampoo, 2nd day no bath mat, 3rd day no tissues. The room was a nice size bed comfy some workers very nice some not at all. The lobby was beautiful and quite clean, the room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was large and comfortable. The TV in this room was huge! Everything was perfect with this stay, and I'll return to this hotel again and again if they maintain this level of service and quality.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I was surprised at how comfortable the bed was and how nicely the room was appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would reccomend to anyone attending a graduation at Ft. Jackson.
