It WAS GREAT THAT IT IS SO CLOSE TO I81. MADE IT EASY TO TRAVEL. CLOSE TO ALL RESTAURANTS ALSO. WONDERFUL THAT I WAS ABLE TO BRING MY DOG WITH ME. WILL RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO MY FRIENDS WITH ANIMALS WHEN TRAVELLING.
"Nice place to stay"
Our stay was great with all the amenities. Snacks were available for purchase along with a BAR for drinks a nice and roomey setting area.The only problem I had was no refrigerator or microwave in the room.R

The only downfall was I picked a weekend where there was some kind of pageant for little girls. So I never got to use the pool. I will stay here again without a doubt!!

The hotel was great, the only issue was there is a window in the shower so the person in the bedroom can look into the shower while someone is showering, I personally loved it, but my boyfriend was scared to shower b/c he thought i was looking in.

We booked your hotel at random over the internet. We really enjoyed the modern look of the hotel. This affordable hotel was a perfect overnight stay while we were on the road. There were convenient restaurants nearby for dinner and breakfast.

We had a great stay here!!! My fiancé and I stayed for a weekend getaway and it was perfect! The room was spotless and the flat screen was great! Amy at the front desk was fantastic!! We had a lovely stay. This was a stop in the middle of a long drive so we didn't get a chance to fully enjoy the hotel amenities. The bathrooms well designed and modern. The bed was very comfortable. "overnight stay while traveling"
We really enjoyed our stay at Aloft. Room was comfortable, clean, and our son loved swimming in the pool and burning off some energy after sitting in the car all day. HIGHLY recommend! We'll be looking for other Aloft hotels to stay in from now on!

"Very modern"
This hotel is outstanding. The decor and room design is very modern and minimalist. The rooms are designed for maximum advantage to the space available. The king size bed facing the flat screen TV is very cool.

I had no problems with this hotel, I have stayed here before. Live entertainment that evening when we got there and a weird yard sale type of thing the next morning which i found odd in the middle of the lobby of a hotel but hey... overall, the bed was comfortable the room was clean, the kids enjoyed the fitness room, the pool was warm and indoors, […] and for what we where there for we got our monies worth, no complaints. Hotel was nice, i travel allot for work all across the country. I was worried when my wife informed me ( 3 miles out) that she got an "Awesome" deal. I have never stayed at this chain of hotels, so i was worried. Much to my surprise, the room was fantastic! Bed was comfortable, Flat screen 40", and a nice colorful room. Living on the road for months […] at a time, it was good to see every room at every hotel is not off white. They even had a nice media hub for wired/wireless internet, and to connect media to the TV. "Unique and trendy hotel, but not worth extra price"
My husband and I stayed at Aloft on a Friday night recently. The rooms are very cool and functional. Everything has its place and the way the room is planned maximizes space and functionality. You feel like you are staying in NYC and not Winchester. There are many eco-friendly features which is cool too. We had some issues, though. Since the rooms […] are smaller than many hotel rooms, your bed is closer to the door and hallway noise. The AC fan is eco-friendly and won't blow air constantly, so you don't have that to cover the noise. The beds weren't super comfortable either. Not bad, but definitely made me miss my bed at home. The most annoying thing was the giant loud vacuum that started running down the halls at 8:30 AM on Saturday morning. It ran for at least 20 minutes and woke us up. It was some special vacuum used to clean the hall carpet. I'm guessing it is only used once a week or per month, so why they chose to run this thing on a Saturday morning boggles my mind! I would recommend the Wingate by Windham instead of Aloft. It costs a bit less and has spacious, comfortable rooms. Aloft is fun but just not worth it. Przeczytaj więcej
"Aloft Winchester-an excellent choice!"
My husband and I came here for one night to celebrate our anniversary. Honestly, the only complaint I have is that there were no coffee stirrers in the room-I had to use the tongs that were in the ice bucket! Other than that, I have no complaints! Would recommend and would definitely visit again!

"Close to SU"
We stay at the Aloft whenever we visit our son at Shenandoah University. The staff are terrific, the rooms modern, smartly designed & comfortable. The hotel is right on the edge of campus near the Stadium. We love the Aloft!

This hotel is the coolest hotel I've ever stayed in and I'm an avid traveler. It was so different than any other place I've been to that it was a unique experience in of itself. Loved the faux animal prints on the wall by the bed! Loved the mounted flat screen TV. Loved the bottles of water in the room and the Bliss brand soap products! The hotel staff […] even let us check in 90 minutes before it was time and it was so nice to relax after being on the road and in the hot sun for so many hours. The only thing that I did not like was the 'echo factor' in the bathroom. It was a beautiful slate tiled bathroom with a huge glass and slate shower, which I loved. However, every single noise that was made in that bathroom by both people staying in the room was very LOUD. These noises made me feel uncomfortable, but I'm very insecure about this. So if you are super comfortable with the people in your room and every sound that is made in the bathroom doesn't bother you, than GO FOR IT! Other reviewers have said that the hotel looks like it was decorated by IKEA - this is very true - and I happen to love IKEA so I thought it was awesome. Aloft is hip and modern with a younger vibe. I've stayed at hotels in Miami with a similar feeling to them so I was very surprised to find this in lil ol' Winchester, VA. If I had children with me or wanted a quiet, peaceful sleep - I probably wouldn't stay at Aloft. The walls are thin so you can hear the music in the bar downstairs and your "neighbors" quite clearly. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The HD flat screen TV was great with a fair selection of Directv channels - but their guide was screwed up so you couldn't really tell what was scheduled - just had to channel surf. They have food downstairs - kind of 7-11 gas station market style where you can buy something and heat it up yourself, but there are plenty of restaurants, etc in the area, so no need to bother with that. The gym looked really nice. The pool looked nice too although it isn't huge - both were located in an area with a wall full of windows, so everyone on their way to the elevators walking by will stare at you. Kind of uncomfortable if you're self-conscious. Hotel smelled nice and everything was very clean. Shower was beautiful but had a glass door that doesn't seal.The water gets all over the bathroom floor - but this design seems to be popular since I stayed at another newer hotel with a similar set-up. The water on the floor didn't bother me since it's not my house and I don't have to worry about the leaking that I imagine will occur someday, but I do wonder why hotels like to put this type of shower in. Aloft Winchester is the absolute best hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was great beyond expectation, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the service was incredible. The only complaint I had was the television had no guide and there was no way to access movies however that is just a minor inconvenience in an overall great hotel experience.

I left my Balckberry in the room and didn't notice until almost 12 hours later. I called the hotel and they said it wasn't there but they called me back a little later and housekeeping had turned it in! They mailed it to me and I had it back within a few days. I thought the staff were too casual when I checked in but I have to say that I had little […] hope on getting the phone back and I'm so pleased with the honesty and follow-up of the staff. I do agree with other reviews that the clear glass shower allows anyone in the room to see you naked while you shower. So don't share rooms with an acquaintance or business associate. The beds were a little too firm for my liking but I didn't have any problem with the tiny bit of light that came through the blinds, which are not complete black out shades. They only give you 2 packets of sugar with the coffee and only one pack of regular coffee - the other is decaf. If you wanted to make both cups you'd have to ask for more supplies. The building looks nothing like the pic on the site. There are all kinds of hotels in the area cheaper than this one. The bar/pool table area was so full of college kids drinking and NOT staying there, that we ended up at Texas Steakhouse up the road. Modern and chic this place is not.

OK but not great. Noise in the lobby (bar, other nightlife activities) kept us awake till 2 a.m. If we were on a higher floor maybe we would not have noticed. "Who knew Ikea designed hotels?"
I think the person who came up with this concept thought that all in their 20's and 30's dig IKEA. The room was mis-advertised as two queen beds when it was two double beds. The floor of the bathroom was dirty and had mystery goo on the floor. The room was small and very "IKEA". The photos make the rooms look MUCH bigger than they are. We had three […] people sharing a hotel room...so it was rather cramped. The 24 hour food place was much like a 7-11...sandwiches to nuke and Lean Cuisines....and outrageously priced. $2 for a bottled water. The "free" coffee was some of the worst I've ever had.
