I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend starting on the 09th April 2010. The location is pretty poor if you are after a city break to rome. To get there yo need to take a bus from Pomezia to Laurentina and then get the metro to Rome. I was less than impress with my stay at Best Western SELENE. The customer service was pretty poor and generally not […] very helpful. Guest who speaks italian get preferential treatments to those who don't. I encountered several problems and bad experiences at this hotel, enough to make me not want to recommend it to you. NEGATIVES 1. Poor Customer Service 2. Breakfast is cold and non existent 3. Its 20 KM from Rome 4. There is nothing to see or do in this part of italy, everything is in Rome 5. Transfers to this part of Italy cost more than say if you want to go Rome 6. Hardly any places to eat out and when you do find somewhere the only food available is Pizza. 7. Most of the amenities and services listed by the hotel are not readily available and have to be requested form reception. Things like Ironing board, kettle, adaptors ect have to be requested. 8. hotel stay can be very slow and don't tend to speaks or understand english. 9. Hardly any information about tourist sites is available at reception, when I did request some information they supplied me with daft useless rubbish. "Great looks but needs to pay attention to details"
It is kind of hidden but once we found it we were impressed with the overall look of the hotel and our extremely beautiful room. Unfortunately, the paid Internet did not work for the 3 days we were there and the free WiFi downstairs is limited to a little corner in the back of the hotel. The pay per view movies did not work at all during the 24 hour […] period. We tried 6 movies and all would stop midway... click resume and it would start over. It is not walking distance to food or transportation. The Best Western website clearly says Airport Shuttle but there is not. It was 65 Euro for myself and daughter for an early taxi and 65 Euro for my husband for his late taxi. The driver was nice but we could have stayed closer to the airport for less. The elevator was broken each day so used the service elevator. The fax was broken so I could not get my boarding pass faxed to me. They gave me an email address but both conceriges on duty could not access the email. The restaurant is Amazing. We ate dinner 3 nights in a row and each meal was absolutely delicious. The restaurant made the whole stay. We did not have hot foods at our breakfast buffet we assumed that was typical since two of our other hotels during our trip also did not provide eggs or bacon (the bacon we did get was not cooked USA style so no loss). Best western really needs to correct the Airport shuttle amenity listed on their website. We will attempt to get reimbursed for our taxi to the airport due to that erroneous information. "Good for business, not so much for tourism"
We stayed here because it looked like a nice hotel, and we got the price very cheap on hotels.com compared to the Best Western prices. Although it was far from Rome, the hotel said it offered a shuttle to the train station so we tried it. On the train from Rome to Pomezia, we called the hotel, but they said they didn't have a shuttle driver that day. […] But they could call us a taxi. We weren't interested in paying 30+ Euro for a taxi. That's why we took a bus to Termini, and a train to Pomezia/Polomba. We waited for a bus, and it took us the 8km to Pomezia and we walked 10 minutes with our luggage, a stroller and baby down a hill through a highway off/onramp with no ped x-ing and finally got to the hotel. The next day we asked for a shuttle to the train station, and again, they had no dri1ver. But we found a Cotral bus that took us to Laurentina Metro stop in Rome for 1.90 The hotel is nice, the service is pretty good, and you CAN do tourism from this hotel. But here are a few tips and facts to manage your expectations. You need to arrange for a shuttle to the train station at least 1 day before. You might have to twist their arms, but they will give you one if you persist. However they NEVER have a shuttle available in the afternoon/evening to pick you up. The hotel says they have free wi-fi and ADSL IN ROOMS, but when you try to use it it asks for 10 Euro /24 hours. I showed the hotel staff a print out of their website claim and they said they would not bill me for the internet. Breakfast is good, but we were there 3 days before we realized we needed to ASK for eggs (they are not out on the buffet). I think you can also ask for meat, but we didn't try. If you use public transportation, it realistically takes you at least 1.5 hours to get to the center of Rome whether you take the train or bus. The changing rooms at the pool were always locked, and you DO need to bring a towel from your room, because there are not not staff at the pool as advertised. However, t Przeczytaj więcej

"Panoráma nagy teraszról"
Családi vakációhoz választottuk ezt a szállodát, a hotel's.com értékelése alapján. Nem csalódtunk, jó döntés volt.Nálunk sokat számított, hogy legyen a szálódában medence, internet elérhetőség, nagy családi szoba, edzőterem és persze gyerekbarát környezet.Mindez színvonalas környezetben.Persze azért itt is akadt ami nem volt számunkra megfelelő...a […] fürdőszobai hajszárítót például csak a férjemmel ketten tudtuk egyszerre működésre bírni, még egy női kéznek is megerőltető lett volna , nem hogy egy 9 éves gyereknek..a motorizált sötétítő függöny , a hatalmas terasz és a pezsgőkád pedig mindannyiunk kedvence volt. "You pay for three stars and that is what you get"
A truly mediocer hotel experience... The building itself was nicely styled, and the outdoor pool was the best I've had in a long time in a hotel. But sound isolation was very poor, and there was a concert in the bar both Friday and Saturday nights that made it impossible to sleep at the other end og the building... We had to ask for a lot of things […] that come without asking on other hotels, like refills of ham, cheese and bread on the breakfast buffet, and room cleaning (one of the four days we were there). When we asked for such things the staff hesitated, but smiled and met our requests after a little thinking.... "Ikke den beste beliggenheten"
Hotellet er nyopppusset og ser bra ut, med de fleste fasiliteter, men ligger langt unna alt. Pomezia som byen heter, er helt uten turisme, så kommunikasjon på annet enn italiensk er vanskelig. Nydelig bassengområde og flott for avslapping. Rene moderne rom. Dårlig aricond.
