For the price and a widower willing to wait and rough it this hotel could be recommended to fellow ex-service people. My wife would have gone balistic if I had taken her when she was alive because it lacks the woman's touch. The staff were helpful and friendly but the whole place needs to be ripped down and rebuilt in a modern style but of course this […] would increase the modest price charged....one cannot have everything....it was just about ok for me. This is a good basic hotel. If you do not need any luxuries this is your hotel. No sign of the bed bugs that were reported in the other reviews. Good location, 5 min. from the Underground station Shepherd's Bush. The large shopping mall Westfield is also nearby. There is a nice market not far from the hotel too. During our stay a female thief broke […] in the hotel and she stole 2 Nintendo DS game consoles from our room. Also she stole from other rooms some wine bottles, shaving cream and razors (what she was going to do with that remains a mystery!). So make sure you do not leave any valuable things in your room. Hotel staff was helpful of checking the surveillance camera's and we could have a clear view on the woman that broke in the hotel. She was wearing sunglasses and was not recognisable. Clearly this was a professional thief. Our room was also very hot during the night, central heating stayed on all the time (do they have a secret oil well in the basement?) and we had to sleep with the window open. We have booked a triple ensuite room for 2 adults and 1 child. We got a triple room that had a shower cabin IN THE ROOM. It looked more like a phonecell (plastic). Mouldy and old. Toilet had to be shared with 2 other double rooms. No words to describe the condition of it. Mattresses and blankets need renewal as they were old and worn out. The carpet […] in the room should only be acceeded with shoes. I acidentially had a look into the "kitchen" and decided not to have any food prepared in this room... Hotel is situated right opposite to a bus station - no chance to sleep with open windows. Staff was friendly and helpful though. When we arrived, our host led us into the waiting room and then proceded to argue with an older individual of his own ethnicity, both in a foreign language. Since we had no idea what was going on, this was very unnerving. On arriving back at our rooms the second night, we noticed that a nightstand had been removed from the room and replaced with a […] table and four chairs. Our luggage had also been moved. The third night, another dressed had been removed, and the table was moved across the room. Again, our luggage had been moved. We checked, and it appeared nothing had been tampered with. But we made sure to leave only clothing and toiletries in the room. All electronics and valuables (passports, money, etc) stayed with us at all times. The shower was located in our room, and the toilet was across the hall. Given the low price we paid, this was to be expected. For the price, hotel was conveniently located but basic. As I was by the stairs I was woken every time anyone went up and down, or walked about upstairs.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The money that you spend on theis hotel would wisely be spent else where.

I never again will be stay in hotel like this!!!! It was different picture in hotels.com and different standart of the room --- wors ---- !!!!!!! In one word TERRIBLE !!!!!! I will be not recommend this hotel to others!!!!

The hotel was pretty much as expected. You get what you pay for. But we had a trouble-free stay. The surrounding area is a little strange. It's like England by day and Afghanistan by night. It's safe during the day and once you watch yourself you'll be fine at night. Breakfast is very basic - just toast and beans and juice.

Having a 2 star rating, i was expecting basic. But having booked a triple en-suite I was expecting a little more than a non functioning shower in my room and a shared (scratched and stained) toilet. Being on the third floor I daresay privacy is not an issue, but curtains would have helped block out the light in the early morning. I was booked at the Plaza, but actually stayed at the Acropolis, which was down the street. The Acropolis, Rex and Plaza are all in a group of B&Bs and you will get shuffled to one or the other based on the room you want and your stay. All seem to have the same amenities though. The Acropolis had its own breakfast room, which served eggs(scrambled or […] fried) to order, toast, cereal, juice and coffee or tea. The room was also often open just to hang out in and the kitchen was available for use. The hotel is not luxurious by any standard, but clean and comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, with directions, suggestions, or just to chat with. I booked a single with shared facilities, but was given a triple with a shower. I think they may also look at the guests and decide if they appear to be able to climb to the 4th floor! My room was the only one up there and had a nice view and was extremely quiet. Since I was the only one up there, I also pretty much had the toilet on that floor to myself. The room also had a refrigerator which is a nice touch in a hotel at this price. For what we paid, the hotel was fine. The bed was comfortable enough, there was enough storage, and there was a sink and a shower in the room (the latter was a bit odd but appreciated nonetheless). The shared bathroom was in some disrepair and not very clean - though luckily we didn't have to use the bath since we had our own. Although the location is good with a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you straight to the Hammersmith Underground Station (or a 5-10 minute walk) and a Tesco market nearby. The rooms however, needs improvement and renovation. The walls are thin, the carpet is stained and coming apart, and doesn't feel clean. My wife and I took a two week trip to Europe and this was the first place we stayed. It was a short metro ride and 2 minute walk from downtown London. The people that run the hotel were extremly helpful and nice. We arrived 3 hours early for check-in and they held our bags so that we could go see the city. The breakfast that was included was outstanding! […] A full english breakfast with tasty coffee. The room was a basic room... a little traffic noise outside, but no big deal. This hotel is convenient, breakfast is adequate, service is good. No problems at all. Rooms are small expect that in London, but you can make a cuppa if you supply your own tea etc. Close to stations.

This place is cheap, and it shows. Be careful when booking since many rooms (all?) do not have toilets in them, and may have make-shift showers. Our room on the top floor had a shower that looked more like a mis-placed phone booth. The television had three fuzzy channels, and all the items in the room were old and shabby. When we checked in, we were escorted to the basement to a room large enough for two even though we had reservations for a triple. The toilet had bloody paper in it and the shower was backed up with some blackish filth. It was disgusting and we promptly got a taxi and found other accommodations. We stayed for 4 nights, and the mattress was so lumpy and uncomfortable that I wish we hadn't. It was an OK value for the money.

We had a nice time in London. The hotel has 3 floors and no elevator, but that's okay. Not much room for breakfast, so we didn't get in line to wait for that. For those who comes by the Underground the nearest station is Shepard's Bush Marked.

We are a young couple who stayed at the Plaza Guest house in August 2009. The double room was simple, but very clean and tidy. Shower and washbasin in the room, toilet was shared. We were surprised to find a fridge in the room! Breakfast was simple, but enough - choice of scrambled or two fried eggs, baked beans, toast, cornflakes/wheat biscuits, orange […] juice and tea/coffee. Bed comfortable but you have to share a poor bathroom with 2 other double rooms. Wardrobe was unavailable due to an old TV placed in. Tv remote doesn't work and TV has only three channels available. Fridge was empty. Breakfast was an horrible experience... basically no choice: forget about croissants, bacon or corn flakes! They serve only eggs, heinz […] baked beans, toast, tesco orange juice, coffee or tea. And you have to queue (approx. 30 min.) for having it! WI-fi was obviously not working. Good things? I am an active duty servicemember and even at war, I have slept in better places than this hotel. I would have paid more to stay in a better room..and not in the basement like I was.

We were looking for an inexpensive place to crash close to downtown london. The place provided just that. Good breakfast included and very nice and helpful hosts.

Most of the staff were very friendly. Actually stayed in an adjoining hotel/guesthouse. Arrived early and staff kept our bags to let us go & explore. Big room with 3 beds but not even a bed side light. Clean beds and towels but general decor poor. We had a room to the front which was quite noisy

Precies waarvoor het bedoeld was: 's avonds uitrusten, vervolgens overnachten, 's ochtends ontbijten en daarna klaarmaken voor weer een dagje Londen bekijken.

Man får helt enkelt det man betalat för.. Det var rent och personalen (endast 2st?) var snälla och de hjälpte till när det behövdes. Frukosten var helt ok, man fick toast, ägg och bönor.. Men så är det varje dag. Man blir trött på det efter ett tag. Rummet var rent och stort. Men vi blev överaskade av duschen som stod i rummet. Vi hade inte förväntat […] oss ett stort torkskåpsliknande dusch i rummet. Men det var helt acceptabelt. Toan låg utanför rummet, så det var ju inte det bästa, men det var acceptabelt. Ett stort minus är att vi valde ett rum för 4 personer och vi hade förväntat oss 4 enkelbäddar, men vi fick en dubbelsäng samt två enkelsängar som satt brevid varandra, stort minus för det. Uttöver det så var dubbelsängen lite större än en av enkelsängarna. Dessutom Området var bra. Såg lite slitett ut, men annars så var det inga som helst problem. På kvällarna är det inga som helst problem att vistas där. Nära två underground stationer (10 min gå, ~3min med buss), inte långt att åka för att komma till centrala London. Vid en av stationerna så finns det ett riktigt stort centrum bara ett stenkast ifrån. Allt som allt var vistelsen bra och helt enkelt acceptabel. Hotellet skulle vara perfekt för den som inte har lust att lägga en stor summa på rum men ändå vill ha ett vettigt rum för ett vettigt pris. Man får det man betalar för.. Przeczytaj więcej

Hôtel proche des transports et peu cher. La mauvaise surprise a été que les toilettes étaient sur le palier au fond du couloir. Det luktade fötter i hallen, renbäddade lakan hade små hår i sig, dusch och handtvätt fanns i rummet men ingen toalett, och vi bodde på ett rum på 4. Men hursomhelst så var det väl helt okej att sova i. Det är dock ingen bra hotellupplevelse.

「ツインでシャワールーム完備」を確認し、予約しました。しかし、シャワーは「部屋の中」にありました。ベッドルームに「学校にある縦長のロッカーの様な物」が置いてあり、確かにその中にシャワーが付いていましたが、「シャワールーム」とは呼べません。排水も悪く、途中で何度もシャワーを止め、水が流れ終わるのを待たなければなりません。 また、予約時に確認しなかったのが失敗でしたが、「トイレ」が着いていませんでした。共同トイレのため、夜中も部屋から出てトイレに行かなければなりません。女性二人旅だったので、怖くて困りました。女性にはお勧め出来ないです。 救いは、部屋が清潔な事と、朝食スタッフが感じいい事でした。

Vi har før benyttet os af dette hotel og der var det absolut langt bedre end denne gang. Værelset var max 8kvm. og sengen var i stykker og der var ca. 50graders varme på værelset og ingen mulighed for at justere på varmen.

Bonne situation de l'hotel à 500 mètres de la station de métro de Shepherd's bush et - pour les afficionados du shopping - de Westfield Mall. Quartier commerçant avec un bon choix de restauration. Concernant la chambre, "moyennageuse" et dépareillée avec cabine de douche rustique trônant au milieu de la chambre, pas de chauffage en plein mois de décembre […] (allumé uniquement le soir à partir de 20h et éteint très tôt le matin), vitrage simple aux fenêtres sur une avenue fréquemment empruntée par les ambulances (mauvaise insonorisation, prévoir les bouchons). Petit déjeuner sommaire, places assises insuffisantes pour tous les clients. Accueil sympatique et agréable. La réception nous a dépanées avec un petit chauffage d'appoint à notre arrivée et a gardé nos bagages jusqu'à notre départ . Hôtel agréable vu de l'extérieur. Bon compromis pour budgets restreints. C été un hôtel pourri, la chambre été a la cave, il y avait une cabine de douche dans la chambre, toilettes qui fuyaient, et en communs, petit déj pas super. Moquette bof

Perfekt för den som hellre vill lägga pengar på annat än själva hotellupplevelsen. Enkelt och spartanskt möblerat, inget fancy men fullt funktionellt. Fast i de allmänna utrymmena hade det inte skadat att kanske gå något extra varv med dammtorkaren. Stort + däremot för fri tillgång till WiFi utan jobbig inloggning/registrering via någon webbplats. Den […] enklare frukosten är också helt ok så man slipper leta rätt på något ställe att äta det första man gör på morgonen. wij zaten in nood en de mensen van het hotel hebben alles gedaan om ons te helpen. de kamers waren schoon en de service goed, de ligging is fantastisch, bushalte voor de deur, 3 metrolijnen in de buurt, westfield, het grootste winkelcentrum van europa op korte loopafstand en ook het busstation is zowat om de hoek. het ontbijt is simpel, maar smaakt […] goed, en de kamers moeten echt gerenoveerd worden, maar dat gaat binnenkort gebeuren. Meget hyggeligt hotel! Sødt sødt personale, fin morgenmad! God rengøring! Pænt og rent bad og toilet og generelt rigtigt fint. Men sengen var så slidt i den ene side så min kæreste lå i et hul og fik ondt i ryggen. Viduet var meget utæt så vi fik træk lige i ansigtet, tilgengæld bankede varmeapperatet derudaf uden mulighed for at skrue ned - meget underlig […] blanding, og forårsagede muligvis ondt i halsen.. Værelset var meget lille - og tv´et duede ikk.

Alleen een goed werkend Wifi netwerk is als positief te melden. Slecht ontbijt in een eetzaal die als kantoorruimte dient.

Buenas, estuve 4 noches alojado en este hotel. Creo sinceramente que "1" única ducha compartida para dos plantas (8 habitaciones), es más que suficiente para dejar claro la pobre calidad del hotel. Si a eso le sumas que la ducha no tragaba muy bien el agua y se te subía por los tobillos creo que ya está dicho todo. Lo mejor, su ubicación y comunicación […] por autobús y metro. Lo dicho, si vas en plan mochilero, viajero y sólo necesitas el hotel para dormir, y punto, este es tu local, sale económico pero no sé de dónde se sacan las 2 estrellas del hotel, Saludos!! Hotel Plaza ligger i en ret rolig gade i gå-afstand til Hammersmith (15 min.).Men der kører også busser, så det er nemt at komme til og fra hotellet. Der er småbutikker i gaden, så man kan købe ind, der er nemlig køleskab på værelset, dejligt. Det er et roligt hotel. Man får udleveret nøgler til både hoveddør og værelsesdør, så man kan komme og gå som […] man vil. Der er TV på værelset, og brusekabine, men toiletter på gangen. Der manglede sengelamper, så vi måtte flytte sengen og læse ved loftslyset, det var det eneste negative.Morgenmaden er meget "britisk", toast, bønner, æg og syltetøj, men uden begrænsning, så det var godt. Hotellet havde en udemærket beliggenhed. Desværre var det indtryk man fik af hotellet via billederne på hjemmesiden ikke korrekt. Hotellet var meget slidt, der var toilet på gangen og bruseniche i det ene hjørne af værelset. Pladsen var meget trang på værelset og det virkede ikke helt rent. Morgenmaden blev indtaget i det samme værelse, som også var […] kontor og der var kun plads til ca. 12 personer af gangen til trods for, at der var 12 værelser. Desuden var tiden til indtagelse af morgenmad lidt knap - den blev serveret mellem 07.30 og 09.00. Jeg var desuden så uheldig at miste min parfume under opholdet. Jeg brugte den onsdag morgen og stillede den tilbage på bordet, men da vi kom hjem om aftenen, var den væk. For that cheap price I didn't expect anything more. Classic shabby english standard room, but it made us feel like beeing in Britain. Small hotel with simple toast and eggs breakfast. Personnel was frienly when they find out that we made the best effort to be nice customers. I liked it.

Nachdem wir eine Nacht in einem Raum verbracht haben, in dem wir uns nicht bewegen konnten, das Bett so kaputt war, das man herausrollte und die Fenster so undicht waren, das man die ganze Nacht den Straßenlärm ertragen musste, waren wir der Verzweiflung nahe. Der Verwalter meinte zwar es gäbe kein anderes freies Zimmer aber nach kurzer Unterredung […] erhielten wir dann doch ein Zimmer in dem man die kurzen Aufenthalte ertrug. Von Kompfort kann in diesem "Hotel" nicht die Rede sein aber wer nur einen Platz zum schlafen sucht und nicht pingelig ist hat hier eine alternative Lösung zu den teueren kompfortablen Hotels.
