Very disappointed. They offer a room with 2 queen beds - they are full size beds and our feet hung off the end :)...Clean but run down - they advertize that the hotel has been recently updated - untrue. Woke up to our bathroom leaking from the celing light (water pouring and filling a bucket). Reported it to the front desk (very nice lady) but they […] took no action to remedy the situation. Never offered any return on our charges or even an offer to come back. "heated" pool was not open but this could be because it was the weekend "before" Memorial Day. The reception staff was excellent and gave me a lot of good advice as to where to eat (including an excellent Lobster restaurant) and places to visit in the Kennebunkport area. Maps were also provided. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained with no drink making facilities, although they were available from reception. It was just like I thought it would be! We love smaller properties ( 26 rooms) with their quaint and casual feeling. We felt like it was more of an authentic Maine visit. Sophie ( the front desk mgr +) was amazing! She's extremely organized ( wears lots of hats), efficient, knowledgable and very easy-going and friendly. We would definitely stay here […] again! I found the room to be spotless and Sophie at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel to someone visiting the area. I do not think that it is within walking distance to the shops in Kennebunkport, but it was only a few minute drive. "Lodge at Turbat's Creek"
Very comfortable and clean room, free toiletries and breakfast included - great value. Large clean room and big bathroom with good shower. Location was quiet, though not really walking distance into Kennebunkport at night (no streetlights), although possibly you could in daylight! Friendly staff, green surroundings.
