The hotel was very clean and a good deal for the price. It would have been nice to have some utensils in the kitchenette...We had to go out for coffee & tea. Even though there was a stove & microwave there was nothing to heat water in. Also, the rooms seemed very dark. "Wonderful Stay in the Country"
Having a nice weekend planned, this hotel was the perfect place to call HOME for a couple of days, the desk person was warm and personable and willing to share some local information. There was a nice clean highly functional and comfortable room, if there was any complaint it was the TV was too small,,, when you want to see a ball game you want to […] see it on a bigger screen. The breakfast option was just fine and the location allowed the viewing of Deer in the field next to the location. "Family comfort"
Past experiences mostly very good as the suite is very comfortable and homey. They do need to continue to update the rooms as it is getting noticeable old. The breakfast has improved to alot of choices though one morning the attendant was late and we had to go out for coffee. Apology made and coffee reimbursed.

"Guilford Suites Hotel - Not a pleasant stay"
Problem getting the door unlocked and into the room. The bed was not comfortable to sleep on. The hotel needs to be updated. Was promised breakfast at 6:30am. It was not ready, the bldg they were to have breakfast in was locked.

The room was chilly. I adjusted one thermostat on the left wall when entering and then found another on the same wall, so I adjusted that. I found a thermostat on the opposite wall, adjusted that and then went to the bedroom and adjusted the thermostat there. In the bathroom, another thermostat, so I adjusted that one, too. Went to be chilly under a […] fine quilt. Awakened at about 3AM and the temperature was like the Sahara. I didn't need the quilt any more. "CT Shoreline"
You have to give the owners and staff credit for keeping up an older hotel in such fine condition. Your visit will be very pleasant.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Great location near the CT coast and close to various nearby restaraunts right on Route 1 (Maritime Grill, Anthony's, Parthenon, etc.). The pull-out coach sleeps our son comfortably. This has always been a reliable and comfortable place for us to stay for years.

Allthough the curb appeal of this hotel might caution one about booking here, the accommodations were actually very clean and comfortable. We stayed two nights and used the refrigerator in the room to store food so we could eat some meals there. This was very convenient and the living room/kitchen and separate bedroom worked out great.
