Hilton Garden Inn Liberia Airport - Liberia

This hotel is the perfect spot, if you have a car. Located across the highway from the airport, you are situated perfectly for day trips. The hotel is nice and has a happy hour. The food is mediocre.

If you're staying in Liberia for an evening this place is great. Very close to the airport, clean, friendly, and a great pool and patio. There are no other amenities close at hand, so I wouldn't recommend staying there for an entire vacation, but it was just perfect for our day layover.

Ugh!

Spent a night on either end of our Costa Rica holiday with my daughter at this hotel. Only complaint was the room we had on the second floor overlooked the hotel's air conditioning compressors, which meant we didn't even want to open the blind to the daylight. Apart from that all was good, including food in the restaurant.

clean room, nice pool, van a bit slow in picking us up at the airport, breakfast buffet fine. Overall nice stay.

The location of the Hilton Garden Inn right across from the Liberia airport is perfect if your plane leaves early in the morning. Frequent shuttles take people to the airport in no time flat. The hotel is new and beautiful, however unfortunately for us, our neighbors had the tv on until after 3am, and the walls are very thin. Our bed headboard shared […] a wall with the tv set next door. Also unless you have a rental car, there is nothing in the neighborhood nearby - the town of Liberia is about 8 miles away. The Hilton is a lone building on a big grassy field. Without a car, you are stranded and will have to eat at their fairly expensive restaurant. There is a lovely pool area too. One good feature was the breakfast to go - it can be ordered the night before you leave, and for about $10 you get juice, a muffin or sweet roll, a fresh fruit of your choice and a nice turkey wrap or other sandwich choice. There is limited and very expensive food available at the Liberia airport, so I would recommend ordering the bag breakfast, and then you'll have a light breakfast as well as a nice sandwich to eat on the plane later. Stayed for an overnight after arriving late. Good service, good food, really pretty pool area, great room and beds.

The hotel was very nice but we were disapointed that the front desk failed to give us a wake up call when we had requested one and were assured that they would . Also, the food was very expensive.

Don't think you should drive in Costa Rica at night.

You will not find a closer hotel to Liberia Airport - very convenient and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and welcoming ;) We would stay there again!! ALSO - free airport shuttle starting at 4:45 am.

If you need a hotel before or after your flight into Liberia, the hotel and location are exceptional in terms of proximity to the LIR airport and the hotel is quite accommodating in terms of quality in service.

The hotel is really close to the airport and I did not get in to Liberia ..but the hotel has a great swimming pool, room were clean and comfortable, The staff ..awesome ... There is a free shuttle to and from the airport qand free wifi , nice TV, and restaurant that served really good food ..I will stay there again ..

Free shuttle to airport and a great room and pool made this an perfect place for 1st and last night in Liberia.

This is a wonderful place to stay, especially if it is your first or last night in Liberia, Costa Rica, as it is across the road from the airport. It's about 15kms from the city of Liberia which doesn't make it a convenient spot if you are hoping to check out the city. I would definitely stay here again when in Costa Rica

We arrived at the hotel in the late afternoon. Only staying there due to its proximity to the airport and an extremely early morning flight. We found the hotel staff to be very welcoming, friendly and efficient. We were quickly in our rooms which we found to be much nicer than we had expected. Very comfortable and clean. Great hotel. A must stay for those overnighting in Liberia. Very very close to the airport. However...no wireless in the rooms. This needs to be corrected.

Extremely convenient to the airport and National Rental Car with prompt shuttle service and a good restaurant.

We arrived in Costa Rica too late to travel to our next destination. The hotel had transportation for us right as we exited the airport. Nice property and good location to airport. Good place to stay for a late night arrival.

Can't beat the location of this hotel, if arriving into or leaving out of Liberia, Costa Rica. Can't beat its amenities after long, hot, humid nights by the beach or its cushiness after a week in more rustic conditions. Would definitely stay here again, and look into other Hilton Garden Inns while traveling. Food sucked though. How can a kitchen mess […] up a hamburguesa in a country famous for its beef? Oh well. Nice hotel but alarm went on in the middle of night and took almost half hour to fit it.

I was staying in Playa Negra, but there was only one flight out of Liberia . I heard the roads were really bad, so I decided to go stay my last night in Liberia so I could just wake up and fly out without feeling rushed. The Hilton is only a few minutes away from the airport--it's really just down the street. The staff here were all so friendly, from […] the front desk staff to the van driver. They were happy to answer all of my questions and were very nice. The bellman were really helpful in helping me figure out the best time to head to the airport. I had a cheeseburger in the restaurant for lunch and then the BBQ chicken pizza in my room via room service for dinner, and both were delicious. The room was very clean. The king bed was comfy, the bathroom was spacious, the chaise was large, the flat-screen TV was really big. My only complaint was that the guest room didn't have free WiFi--only wired--which keeps you stuck at the desk. I wanted to use the computer while sitting in bed, but the cord didn't stretch that long. That was really my only complaint. I didn't have a chance to use the fitness room or pool, but I loved the little convenience store that's open 24/7. I used it both to get snacks and a last-minute gift for a friend. The free business center is great, too--I was able to print my boarding pass for free. The hotel isn't within walking distance from anything, so there isn't any food or shopping unless you take a car ride. But the convenience to the airport is unbeatable. We saw signs that said we can conserve water by not washing towels However we did not see any other attempts to conserve -no recycle bins anywhere either in the lobby or the rooms. No bio degradable products It seems like you are more concerned in avoiding washing (towels, linen) and reducing your work than in actual interest in conservation. We decided to stay at the Hilton because it was close to the airport. The room was very nice and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very good too.

As convenient as the inn is to the airport, we became quite concerned about being late checking in for our flight when it became evident that the shuttle van provided did not include steps that would allow my wife, who is on a walker after two hip operations, to board it. Happily,one of the staff went and found a vehicle that was handicapped- accessible. […] Addition of steps would be a quite inexpensive change to make. I bet it would be appreciated by others who, although not handicapped, find it hard to climb into your shuttle van at present. We were glad to stay at the Hilton Garden INN, it felt like we were back in America, which was a relief after a long honeymoon, hehe

Great hotel, clean, great food and very friendly and helpful staff. They could use an extra shuttle van as we had a 30 minute wait in line for a ride...but still no probelm.

Good hotel over all. However, at check out they added items to our tab that we never purchased (such as food from the restaurant). Check your bill carefully before you check out.

Fine hotel for a one night stay when you arrive in town too late to move on to your next destination. Comfortable beds, food is ok but food service staff was not that great. Overall staff service level is lower than what we would expect from a Hilton.

I loved the location and a majority of the other parts of the stay but after being VERY specific about my reservation, making sure that breakfast was an included ammenity, then checking out and being charged over $81.00 for the breakfast (which was included), I changed my mind. They were rude, unwilling to help resolve the issue or offer any consolation, […] wouldn't call hotels.com, nothing. Each person seemed to be less and less helpful, and after just arriving in a foreign country, I can assure you that the last thing we needed was to be reprimanded, and treated poorly. Super convenient to airport, pool, exercise room and pleasant people at the desk and restaurant. super breakfast included, but 'bag lunch' offered for early morning flights.

The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The room was comfortable and clean. The food was good although very American. It is a great place to stay if you are on route to another destination or heading back to stay a night or two before leaving. Very close to the airport but a bit of a drive into town. Great place to stay when coming or going to Costa Rica via the Liberia airport. Good food, pool and comfortable room. Free airport shuttle with coffee in the lobby in the morning. Would stay again!

Clean, very comfortable hotel very convenient for early morning flight. Supper meal was not anything special for the price. Since we checked out before breakfast the boxed breakfast was a nice touch.

Convenient location for quick access to airport in morning. Hotel staff pleasant and helpful. Room outstanding and quiet. Restaurant food was okay but service casual.

Upon check-in, we received a room by the ice maker and elevator which seemed noisy to us, since we had a 5am wake-up call the next morning. The staff was happy to move us to a nice, quiet room right away. The room service came promptly as well. There was a free airport shuttle, which comes every 30 minutes or so. It's a quick 5 minute ride to the Liberia […] airport. There's a nice restaurant and business center as well, and free WiFi.
