BEST WESTERN Grand Hotel De L'Univers - Paryż

Great location! Nice Hotel, but if you are looking for a great view of Paris from your window go elsewhere. Our view was of a 40ft high wall. If what you want is a base from where to see Paris, this is ideal. Situated in a lively side street, the local area is charming and exactly what you expect of Paris.

I took my 11-year old daughter on a trip to Paris for Spring Break, March 11 - March 18. We stayed at this property upon the recommendation of my 22-year old niece who stayed here a few years ago. We were very pleased. To begin, the staff was extremely nice and very very helpful. They greeted us every morning with a smile and every night the same way. […] The desk clerks (there were 3 of them and I regret not writing down their names) were so very helpful. The gentleman (who worked the graveyard shift) personally made me a pot of coffee at 5:00 am even though the cafe did not open until 7:00 am. The other two wonderful ladies helped me with several times with directions, arranged for a taxi to the airport, etc. They all spoke English and were extremely hospitable. We stayed in room #5 which is on the first floor (one floor above the 'ground floor'/reception). It was very nice. Two twin beds pushed together, a little desk/chair, nice flat screen T.V. with 2-3 English speaking channels, an armoire to store and hang up our clothes, a separate toilet room, and room with a separate shower, sink, and pedestal tub. This is Paris, so (like New York) the rooms are small. But this room was very comfortable for the two of us. The clerk showed us a room on the top floor that had a nice view of the Eiffel Tower - but it was not laid out as well as (and was smaller than) room #5. This hotel is perfectly located for sight-seeing. It is on the Left Bank in the Latin Quarter just a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, etc. More importantly, it is located 5 minutes to the Saint Michele metro station and 3 minutes to the Odeon metro station. The Louvre, Musee Orangerie, Invalides, Centre Pompidou, and Musee Orsay are also within walking distance -- but honestly, it is easier to take a short metro ride over there if you've got a young child or someone who doesn't like to walk a lot, i.e. my daughter. Great hotel with clean, bright, comfortable but tiny rooms.in the BEST NEIGHBORHOOD IN PARIS. If you are traveling with large suitcases, you might have a problem. I plan to go back

Vi kommer helt sikkert igen...

Perfekt läge för den som vill ha nära till trevliga restauranger och kvällsliv, samt ha promenadavstånd till de flesta sevärdheterna. Små men söta rum. Ett minus för smutsig heltäckningsmatta och gamla filtar.

The hotel is locationed in the middle of the action in St. Germain de Pres, close to almost everything: cute street cafés and restaurants, close to subway station, close to river Seine, Notre Dame, adorable shopping streets, Luxwembourg Gardens, Sorbonne. We loved it. Although the rooms are very small - which is typically Parisian, we loved the hotel, […] the friendly lady at the desk, helpful. What more do you want. We definitely will be back. Localisation idéale en plein St-Germain, et grande qualité de l'Hôtel, un bémol pour l'unique ascenceur qui a parfois du mal à contenter les rushs aux heures de pointe "petits-déjeuners" et départs quand on est au dernier étage avec des bagages il vaut mieux anticiper ...

Smukt hotel beliggende midt i det hyggelige St. Germain des Près-kvarter med alle dets caféer, restauranter, gallerier, antikvariater m.m. Selve hotellt ligger i restaurantgaden Rue Grégoire de Tours, tæt på markedsgaden Rue de Buci og Odéon med biografer og teatre. Hotellet er gammelt men stilfuldt klassisk indrettet, service og morgenmad i top. Eneste […] minus var, at minibaren var i stykker, og at de ikke fik den lavet, mens jeg var der.
