"Center of a lot of sites"
On first arriving, we were welcomed like family by the desk concierge (S.). He was eager to please and to make our stay a great one. When I could not find a trolley to take our luggage in, I asked and he quickly left to search the floors for unclaimed trollies. The room was large and very well appointed. Hotel staff was wonderful. Room was clean and well laid out. Indoor pool was refreshing. Breakfast was good. Visited historic Strasburg, it was okay but some shops close up early during the week.

Sebastian at the front desk is the most polite and helpful person I have dealt with in a long time. Our son was sick and had many accidents during our stay and Sebastian with no hesitation was right there to help with our every need. The best customer service I have ever had at a hotel. "Perfect Hotel in Strasburg"
I recently drove from Knoxville, TN to Stamford, CT and need a mid-point hotel to spend the night. This Fairfield Inn was right off Route 81 and is quite new. The check-in was very easy.
The only complaint we had was that the swimming pool was not checked daily.

Mountain view room, king suite -- big, beautiful sitting room, seperate bedroom each room with its own TV. Microwave, refridgerator and coffee maker in room. My husband and I enjoyed a swim in the pool and a relaxing evening in our room. The next day we drove on Skyline drive to Luray cavens. Perfect fall colors, even got to see a bear in the park. Overall quality including indoor swimming pool and breakfast was good. Room's temp. control and lighting needs little fixing for rooms that are facing the main road.

We had a very nice stay here. I do not have any complaints. The stay was the best during our weekend getaway. The hotel and its accomadations were of Marriott reputation. Definitely stay here.
"Not very family friendly"
When I made reservations, I requested adjoining rooms. I asked them to confirm that we could have adjoining rooms. Hotel.com called the hotel, spoke to staff and agreed to adjoining rooms. When we arrived... no adjoing rooms. I argued with the staff and eventually they were able to accomodate us... but only after a battle. The manager was not helpful. […] The staff was not helpful. "Great Stay even with 2 small kids"
Mu husband and I decided to take a mini vacation from the DC city craziness. This hotel was in a great location with easy access off the freeway and had great views of the mountains around. We have a 3yr old and a 3 month old so for me cleanliness was a must and I was not dissapointed. The decore is more modern with bright color. We all had a great […] time enjoying the indoor pool and hot tub. Later we enjoyed the best italian dinner at the place across the street from the hotel. The hotel was a chort drive from many attractions including Luray Cavers and Skyline Drive. We had such a good time that we intend on returning for another longer visit in the spring. "Housekeeping off duty"
We're sent to 3 !!! dirty rooms before finaly got a cleaned one. Although in room description on hotels.com there was no microwave in the room. Girl at desk completely left alone and all was wo much for her.

Very clean, print desk girl very sweet. My only complaint us the carpet in hallways the patterns running the way you have them us BAD for anyone suffering from Vertigo or any other inner hear probkems. Threw off my balance going up hallways causes dizziness. But very nice hotel.

"Great place to stay"
Wow what a real nice place to stay. Ask for the mountain view room. They ost a little bit more but well worth it. These rooms are down the hallway away from the other rooms. Plus you get the view.

I was traveling with three grandchildren and my daughter and we were on our way from Yorktown Virginia to Cleveland Ohio. It was a very pleasant stop along the way. Beautiful scenery and great weather.
"good location friendly staff"
mostly satisfied overall. There are small issues that prevent me rating it higher. Pillows are too soft. we found a large bug in the room upon arrival which may or may not have followed us in from the outside like hanging onto our lugguage. One light bulb is not working but they fixed it right away. Breakfast has very small selection. It was ok because […] the hotel was not too busy. I highly recommend the Italian restaurant across the parking lot. Very good food and friendly staff. We left a bag in the restaurant overnight and they returned it when we went back the next day. "Breakfast is poor at best"
An apple, bagle, cereal doesn't move up to a "breakfast". Only one waffle grill for everyone. 'been to most other hotels that serve a regular breakfast of sausage, bacon, omelets, etc. Will avoid this chain in the future.

Driving from Myrtle Beach to Toronto, we stopped here after a days drive and we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly and upbeat front desk staff, as well as the new? lobby with complimentary coffee. The hotel was great. The lobby and the rooms were clean and very well kept. The staff was pleasant and the fitness room and pool were adequate (the pool looks smaller than it does on the website.) My one complaint was with the shower curtain liner! I cannot understand why that was so filthy considering the pristine condition of everything else! It […] was so bad, I took showers without the curtain and liner which resulted in a completely wet floor after each shower. Everything else was clean which made this dirty liner very obvious! We've had problems finding good lodging at nearby exits. This one has all the basics- clean lodging, breakfast, gas and even a nearby convenience store where you can find healthy salads and yogurt! Not dog friendly though

"Television performance ruined everything!"
The rating would have been at least satisfactory had we acquired a room with a decent working television. It was a rainy cold night in the mountains with not much else to do. The HBO and other stations were SCRAMBLED. We complained at front desk who stated there was nothing they could do. There were good movies on but we had real problems seeing them. Decent price, everything looks brand new with a very modern appearance, good service, quiet night and overall very good experience with this property. Will definitely stay again since my daughter is in college in the area.

We were very pleased with the hotel, the modern style, decor, and large size of the room. The breakfast was good, overall we had a nice time.

This was a great hotel. I liked that it was right off the highway. There are several restaurants and fast food places right near it as well as a gas station. The hotel was very clean. My only complaint is that the pillows were kind of flat so you might want to bring your own!

New hotel. Spotless and comfortable. Don't let the 2 star rating fool you. If you need a better highway hotel than this you probably buy a First Class airline ticket.
