Maydrit Hotel - Madryt

Beautiful hotel, very modern and comfortable. Wi fi access is an extra charge unless you book directly with the hotel, then they give you access for free.

My friend and I stayed here prior to departing Madrid for the US, and it was the best hotel we stayed at during our entire vacation. The rooms were lovely and spotless, with double glass sinks and a shower and a tub. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the service very nice. They had a flat screen TV so we could watch Real Madrid and Barcelona […] play football. And the breakfast in the AM was a good value -- it was a "twofer". I needed an overnight stay nearby the Madrid airport. The Maydrit is very convenient. Better still, it is smart and classy. The free shuttle picked us up ten minutes after our flight arrived and delivered us back in the morning stress free.

transportation from the airport was not available. the wireless connection is the room was not free as stated on your website. it cost 24 euro to go 2.5 kilometers from the airport to the hotel.....................

This hotel is nice, clean, with good beds and a great location for the Madrid airport. Great to be able to use the free shuttle. The wifi, however, costs 10 euros per day per device which was a bummer. Also, there is really no where to eat close by so we ate in their restaurant. For 10 euros we got a very small pizza that we are sure was a frozen pizza […] that you heat up in the oven and for another 10 euros, a club sandwich. Neither was good. They had a breakfast for 15 euros per person that we did not eat. Just ate at the airport instead. So for a place to sleep close to the airport, its good but food options are very limited. This hotel is perfect. As good if not better than a W in the US. Only issue is the fact that I was not aware that you had to book the shuttle prior to arriving, beside that there isn't anything I can complain about.

This proved to be a solid hotel for our purposes. We were in Madrid for about 24 hours with an early morning flight. We landed in Madrid in the afternoon so no shuttle service to the hotel. Be sure to have the address or a map as it cost us 22 Euro and about 20 minutes for our driver to find it. It is about a 8 minute drive to the airport via the shuttle […] (in the AM). Metro is easy walking distance for a 25 minute ride to the center of Madrid. You should be prepared to use the bar for refreshments or the mini bar as there are no vending machines. Read:expensive. Hotel was very nice staff were friendly but a smiling face goes a long way . Price was good. But Internet at 10. Euros a night is scandalous .breakfast at 13 euros not worth it Overall would stay again

We stayed her our first night and our last night in Spain. Very convenient to the airport, the shuttle runs every 1/2 hour, made the logistics easy. It's kind of hidden away, so the cab driver from the train station had trouble finding it. But once you're there, it's clean and modern and overall just what we needed.

This was a lovely hotel and such a bargain price. It was only a block walk from the Metro. They offered free shuttle to the airport. We were dropped off at our terminal. The buffet breakfast was good as well.

The room was very nice. We had to leave for the airport at 7:30 a.m. so we got up fairly early to shower, etc. There was no hot water and when we called the front desk they acted as if our room was the only one with this problem. We didn't have time to wait for any service, so no shower prior to our 15 hour journey home. On the shuttle ride to the […] airport I confirmed that others had the same problem. Really nice hotel and near the airport. Only negative, restaurant had very slow service.

Excellent hotel near MAD airport with airport shuttle service. Clean, nice amenities, quiet.

A fairly new and very clean hotel. The room was modern and quite comfortable, although my room had mold/mildew growing at the bottom of the bathroom door. Quite a significant patch. It is only a couple of blocks from the subway and did have a couple of restaurants nearby. Never got to try the Chinese restaurant across the road, as I went downtown, but […] I heard it was quite good. Breakfast at the hotel was adequate for 14 Euros. We stayed at the Maydrit Hotel our last night in Madrid primarily because of its location closer to the airport and the airport shuttle service it offered. The hotel is conveniently located two blocks from the Metro Station (green line, next to the last station) in a quiet neighborhood. Our room was contemporary and clean with two showers and all the […] toiletries. The only item missing was an alarm clock and, as I had forgotten my traveler clock, we had to rely on a wake-up call. The service provided by the front desk receptionists was excellent with one woman speaking very good English. Overall, this is a very good facility that I would recommend to others. The only downside to our stay was that our contiguous "neighbors," who arrived at around midnight,made quite a lot of noise for a full hour (doors shutting, talking, etc.), and, as a result, I was awake for several hours that last night. I will stay at this property over and over. The only reason I did not give straight 5's is that it IS in an area of mid-size apartment buildings and there were not a lot of dining options.(only two and one didn't serve food until 8pm, the other was the chinese restaurant across the street) I felt safe strolling the neighborhood with 5 year old and enjoying […] the parks behind the hotel. I also felt safe throughout the entire metro trip and on the short walk from the Metro station to Hotel Maydrit. The van service was totally reliable for us, it left for the airport on the half-hour all day starting at 7am. We did have to leave a little earlier than we would have liked because the subsequent two van loads were already full but that is not a hotel fault that the van cannot accomodate everyone at once. It was well organized and we reserved our ride upon check in. It did not seem central to tourist activities but is on the El Capricho stop of Linea 5 and the station was clean and seemed safe. The hotel was very clean and had modern comfortable furnishings. There isn't a whole lot nearby (2 tapas restaurants and a descent Chinese restaurant), but if you just want to be by the airport, it's a good place. It was a rough start and finale. We called the hotel for the shuttle which took 30 to 40 minutes to show up. The 1'st staff we met weren't very excited to see us and didn't have us in the system. The taxi back to the airport cost 20 euro, which seemed steep for a 5 minute ride. However, everything else was excellent. A friend found the Maydrit on the internet and suggested we book our last night in Madrid there for easy access to our early flights the next day. The Maydrit is new, the staff was pleasant and the rooms were quite large by European standard. Maybe I was just particularly tired, but I found the bed and especially the sheets absolutely fabulous. Our only snafu occurred when we tried to book the transfer from the airport to the hotel -- it was a holiday and they did not provide transfers that day, so we took a cab. The transfer back to the airport early the next morning departed right on time. Excellent Hotel, very clean, good service and comfortable. The only complate is they have no where for you to put Ice, they give it to you in a bag. Other then that great Hotel and would stay there again and recommend this to all that go to Madrid. Very pleased with the Maydrit Hotel. This hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the airport. We called when we arrived to the airport and they told us we would be picked up at a specific time and they arrived at that time. We also scheduled the time to leave for the airport the next day and they were on time. The area is wonderful. We went for a walk […] in the evening and it's the suberbs - a very nice, family oriented area with a few cafes, restaurants, parks. The restaurant at the hotel was wonderful as well. Yep!!! Impossible to find by car; we drove in from Barcelona and intended on dropping luggage at hotel then turn in car; however, we gave up after an hour and a half of driving the surrounding streets at 6PM on a Friday evening; went to airport; turned in our car and then took expensive $$ taxi ride back to hotel. Even the taxi had trouble finding the […] place. Four out of five front desk staff friendly and most helpful; over the four nights/three days we stayed, the fifth front desk man just did not want to be bothered! Rooms were great; housekeeping staff friendly and helpful; the rooms have lots of shine, metal and glass; Onsite Food was expensive $$, very well presented but rather lacking in warmth and personal appeal. We ended up eating a couple of meals at Chinese place across the street. One good thing about hotel location, we were two blocks from great subway line to central Madrid...and we used the super clean, really fine subway for two days...were able to transfer from one line to another for Sightseeing, Prado Museum and Bullfights. A beautiful new hotel. Friendly staff. Luxurious, comfortable room. BUT, they advertise free airport shuttle. Arrived at Madrid airport. They were not listed on the hotel shuttle phone board. Called the number listed on the Hotels.com website. They didn't answer. Had to take a taxi, which cost about $40 (26 Euros). No problem getting hotel shuttle back […] to the airport the next day. The hotel was fine. Finding it by car was another thlike Maing. I recommend that they print directions for finding the hotel by car. A 4 star hotel like this should not charge for internet.

Great spacey room with mod decor features. Very good value for the money. Airport location is asset but somewhat hard to navigate neighborhood streets unless assisted with a GPS.

This could have been a nice experience if Maydrit would have understood the transportation situation for their guests. A 24-hour transfer service would completely change my impression of this hotel. But now, since my plane arrived with delay at 2300, they just said that I had to take a taxi - even though they had told me on the phone earlier that there […] would be a transfer at 2230 that I could go with. We all know what taxis at airports cost! I was charged 32€ "minimum fare" for a ride that took about 4 minutes (I had to show the driver on a map where the hotel was located, since he had never heard of it). I think this is an insult, but I do not blame the taxi driver as much as I blame the attitude of Maydrit - they should be aware of this problem and offer a transfer to save their guests the discomfort. However, if you don't mind paying the equivalent of two hours worker's salary for 4 minutes in a taxi, Maydrit is a nice place and the rooms are comfortable. Next time I will look for a hotel along the Metro-line instead (the Madrid Metro is great!), and spend my 30€ on good spanish food. Przeczytaj więcej

The Maydrit Hotel has a fantastic, modern facility. And, although it is very close to the airport (10 minutes by vehicle), DO NOT take the excellent Metro system because it is a one hour ride with two transfers. The Maydrit has a free airport shuttle, but you need a cell phone to summon them to the airport to pick you up. You can easily book the shuttle […] to be taken back to the airport. The Capricho Metro stop is two short blocks away where there is also a bike path and a jogging path adjacent to the Metro entrance. The Hotel is NOT set up for tourists. They have no maps or information and can give NO INFORMATION. The internet terminals in the lobby are pricey. But, you can easily walk to the Metro stop and get downtown within about 20-30 minutes. However, the rooms are clean (although my floors were dusty) and modern, the bathroom had a shower and a tub with a double sink. I had a television, but no english-speaking channel (although CNN was listed on the menu). My room had a lock box. The hotel restaurant is also a bit pricey. So we needed a hotel near the airport.The hotel is in a great location,near by the airport and not so far from the Madrid center. This hotel pleasantly surprised us, especially considering the rate. The room was very nice, the service was good, and there was a free shuttle to the airport. Be aware, however, that the shuttle only runs from 7-11 am and 7-11 pm and taxi drivers are very unhappy to take you to such a close location. There is not very much in the surrounding area, […] maybe 3 restaurants, but the Chinese restaurant around the corner was excellent. We needed a room for the night to make a flight out of Madrid the next morning. The hotel itself was very nice as well as the staff. The location was more than adaquate considering the layout of the Madrid airport and the adjoining neighborhood which is quite a maze of streets in which nothing seems close at first. There was also a Metro station within […] a short walk so we were able to get downtown very easily. The hotel shuttle to the airport was prompt although you do need to book it the night before. Prices in the minibar and hotel restaurant were not unusual, meaning to say, a bit pricey. My only minor complaint, one of which I've seen in many european hotels, is that the thermostat in the room seemed to have no effect on the room temp. Overall I was very pleased. Przeczytaj więcej

Very nice accomodations. Guest service staff (at check in desk area) were not very helpful beyond checking us in. We received a rather 'cool' reception. I inquired about morning coffee since we had a rather early departure (8:am) and was told to ask the overnite agent at the desk. When I did I was told no coffee for guests. Apparently there is no where […] to purchase a cup of coffee (and no coffee in the rooms) before 9am on a Saturday even though the kitchen staff walked by with coffee several times while I was in the lobby, I presume for a group breakfast they were serving. I really enjoyed this hotel, and would recommend it to everyone. The room is really nice, the only thing I would improve would be to include at least one english channel on the TV

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. However the airport shuttle has limited hours that it runs. The Metro to the airport will take 1 1/2 hours since you have to switch metro lines a few times. Taxi to the airport can cost up to $40 ( 25 Euro ) if you have to use Terminal #4 in Madrid.

Lovely hotel, new and modern interior, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Close to airport. Not close to major sights in the city though. (This is an airport hotel)

Great Hotel, less than 15 minutes from Airport, free shuttle service, Metro to Downtown Madrid 200 meters away. The Hotel is a bit a way from Down town but a 1 euro metro ride each way is very close. The Metro line 5 takes you straight to Plaza de Sol, the heart of Madrid, about a 25 min metro ride. Hotel is a nice little neighborhood, not much surrounding […] the nieighborhood other than apt homes but there was 1 good chinese restuarant around the corner and a small market dow the stree from the metro stop.
