Aloft Charlotte Uptown at the EpiCentre - Charlotte

Perfect location, this is my preferred hotel when visiting Charlotte.

Great location.

awesome place, the employees were great, but the shower was a joke. no pressure at all. took forever to get the shampoo out of my hair. but without a doubt i will stay there again.

This hotel was awesome!! It was clean, modern, and had the perfect location for me and my girlfriend. It is located right in the middle of town which was perfect, so we did not have to drive anywhere. The staff was friendly and informative. The only real small complaint that I had was finding the parking and the amount of elevators you have to take […] to reach the hotel. This Aloft never disappoints. The staff is great and the accommodations are always just perfect. I usually stay for work, this time to see a concert and being across the street was a super bonus. If you stay downtown Charlotte, the is no other choice.

Very noisy but right in the heart of all the activity. If you are staying for business I would not recommend it because of the noise, but for pleasure stay it would probably be OK. Did not have the right room when we checked in but switched us the next day

The location is excellent and the hotel is trendy but my room was small. The staff was pleasant and professional and nothing untoward happened but expected more value for my money. I will stick to the more traditional hotels. For less money, I have stayed in Ritz Carltons where service is spelled with a capital S. Trendy is not high on my list.

The location made the stay perfect. Everything within walking distance. Hotel was sleek and modern. Very comfortable. Only one problem...needed better water pressure for the shower. Everything else was a 10!!

the lobby was filled with young people that did not appear to be staying there, seemed a little off to have a bunch of teenagers hanging out there, very noisy and crowded, but hotel room was great

My wife and I had a fabulous time at the Aloft. It was in the middle of dowtown Charlotte where everything is located for food, shopping, and fun. We did not really need to travel anywhere. Valet parking was great and you can even ride the light rail (LYNX)! The layout of the room was great and it had an urban chic feel to it and the view of charlotte […] was awesome. I've stayed at other Alofts with good results, but the Charlotte hotel needs work. Cracked mirrors in the bathroom, iffy hot water, a big allen bolt used to repair the faucet and I had to change rooms at 11:30pm due to lack of heat. This hotel was a great pick. It was very conveniently located in the center of Charlotte close to many restaurants and bars. They don't have free parking, but they do have a Valet service and their are several parking garages nearby. All the staff were very friendly and courteous. Aloft is at the best possible location in Charlotte, NC. You can walk to the stadium, museum, and tons of bars within minutes. The room was very modern but minimalistic. It had a very comfortable bed and an awesome 42inch flat screen TV.

Very nice and modern looking hotel! Very helpful staff too! Unfortunately if you are looking at having some rest and going to bed before 230 am, this probably is not your fit! It was so loud with all the music and screaming and I could hear every word whoever the d j was saying!

Hotel was located near all the activity for the Belk Bowl.

Ok, so this is a cool kind of hotel. The location is perfect; right next to the Epicenter(right?). The staff are very friendly and responsive. If only the residents and guests would cooperate! I have stayed in this hotel 3 nights over 2 stays and every single night I was awoken by strange events. The first night (a Thursday) at about 1am I heard whooping […] outside (I had a 10th floor corner room...my first mistake). I looked out my window to see about 50 or so people walking out front, well, whooping. My second trip was a Thursday and Friday night. Ahaa!, I thought. I'll get an inside, quiet room. So I did. At 2am there was quite a Christmas party going on in room 1019 - right next door. Actually, I have to say I didn't hear them inside the room; they were mostly in the hallway. The most annoying thing is that when the doors in that hotel close, they make a sound like a small explosion. They are metal and they SLAM. I called downstairs and the hotel immediately sent up security. I heard security tell them they have had 4 complaints and he offered to move them to a conference room....which he did. At 4:30 they returned, and continued being noisy for about 10 or so minuets more....just in time to wake me up again the morning of the biggest meeting of my life...nice. Friday evening there was a small slam/explosion at about 3am or so. No worries, no work that next day. I really need to stress that the staff was really great, each time I interacted with them I felt that they really tried to solve the problems. This hotel is a must if you are staying in the uptown area. The only complaint I have is that the night club across the street is very inconsiderate. At 11:00 pm on a wednesday they decided to leave their front doors open and turn up the sound system full blast even though there was nobody there. My husband and I loved the location and the high standards of the hotel and it's staff. Very clean and friendly.WE stayed in one of the rooms offering a King size bed.Our only real complain was the size and layout of our room. The toilet/ shower area( which did not have an exhaust fan?) was cramped and offered no privacy between them. You could only […] hang 5 items on the open closet hang bar. Stayed at the aloft for a meeting. Parking is a problem because you have to park in a deck with other businesses in the complex. It could have been better kept since it is only a year old.

Not worth the money!!!

we had a great time close to anything and everything you could want or need, we will stay here next year for hair convention

The price is a bit high for the size of a basic room but you're paying extra for the convenience of it's Epicentre location. Which couldn't be more convenient if you're looking to actually do something in Charlotte. The hotel is definitely targeting a young sleek modern look and feel. Perfect for 25-40 year old guests. We recently stayed here...mainly because they are a pet friendly hotel. The hotel is in the heart of downtown so you can walk to everything. The room, even being a pet friendly room, was extremely clean. All hotel staff were very courteous and accomodating. I would definitely recommend Aloft to everyone.

My friends and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. I wanted something downtown and close to the concert avenue I was attending. This hotel was perfect! The only thing was that they had a problem with the lighting and when we were getting ready (4 girls!) it was a down to not have enough light to see well. But we sure had plenty of mirrors!! We went up for the USC Gamecocks season opening and this hotel was right in the heart of everything. Friendly staff, great rooms, and terrific location. Just be ready they don't have any drawers to store clothes in but have shelves in the bathroom and a place to hang stuff.

Do not be lured by the location. We booked queen beds months in advance an they gave us a king. We had 4 ppl!!! I said that this was unacceptable and they said sorry it's not our fault! We got to the room and they said we'd get a queen air mattress and we got no mattress. By the time they brought us one all they had left was a twin. So 1 person slept […] on the floor. There were no towels in our room and the bathrooms lights did not work, seriously they had 1 desk lamp to use in place of the regular lights. The blow dryer tripped the breaker so we had to way to get that fixed and then I tried to finish blow drying my hair and it tripped again! I complained several times at the front desk and mgmt never showed up to hear me out. This place is terrible and someone should be held accountable however their tag line should be it is out fault as that is all anyone said. great place to stay if you're epicentre-bound for the evening. a little hard to locate if taking the train directly to the epicentre. also, as someone who's expecting and celebrating an anniversary, i was disappointed to find the hotel bar didn't have non-alcoholic beer!

The Aloft Hotel in Uptown Charlotte is a very convenient business travel hotel. It is located in the middle of Charlotte and has all the ammenities you could want. The rooms are clean and nice, but mine had a broken bathroom vanity light so it made shaving a bit difficult. The desk lamp put on the vanity was a nice try, but came up way short. My wife and I stayed at Aloft for our anniversary this summer, and the hotel was wonderful--comfortable, clean, and chic. The only problem, however, was that we had the hardest time finding the hotel, especially where we were supposed to park. Admittedly, there was a bike race going on in downtown Charlotte which created a great deal of traffic confusion, […] but still, the place was tough to find. The hotel is actually located in commercial hub of downtown Charlotte called the Epicenter, and the hotel has no independent parking. Staying here to enjoy the night life is perfect....but don't plan on getting a peaceful night of sleep. The walls are thin and you will hear ALL outdoor noise from the streets. Other than that, a great room for the money and the staff were great!

If you are in Charlotte to party and want to be in walking distance to the epicenter and time Warner arena this is your hotel. One complaint is it is Extremely LOUD at night until the wee hours of the morning. So if you are in town to rest then another hotel would be better. THIS WAS MY THIRD TIME STAYING AT THIS WONDERFUL HOTEL AND LOVED IT. HAD GREAT TIME, ALREADY RECOMMENDED TO A FRIEND TO STAY IN THE FUTURE.

We were in Charlotte for a kiddie concert with our toddler. We were able to eat, play and go to the concert with our kid without ever really getting on a street. This hotel is located above what is called the Epicenter, which is a center for nightlife in Charlotte. If you're here to party, this is your place. If not then stay away. There are several clubs in the area and therefore there is a lot of noise. Thankfully there is a curfew of midnight. Though to add injury to insult there was sandblasting of one […] of the nearby office buildings during the week. I'm sure that's unusual. An odd thing about the hotel is that there is no drawer space to unpack your suitcase. There is a closet and a cubby, but no drawers. It meant living out of the suitcase. The rooms are relatively small. The design is very modern, though some practicalities are missing, which is a lack of forethought by the designers. The staff was friendly and helpful, though little maintenance things were not kept up. The handle on the shower was loose. And the two elevators to get to one's room, started to get tired very quickly. If you're in Charlotte for a very quick stay, 1 or 2 nights, its fine, otherwise I would recommend a different hotel. We had a great stay at this hotel and it was very convenient to the Time Warner Cable Arena! We went to the piano bar after our concert and then right to our room. The hotel itself was a little tricky to actually find, but look for the parking deck. Park there and take the elevator up to the 5th floor. If you are going to be in uptown Charlotte, this is the place to stay. The staff was great. The room was impecible. The location was perfect. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. On top of that, the Hotels.com price was unbeatable! Great deal and a great stay!

This hotel is located in the perfect location in the Epicentre in Charlotte's Uptown! I will be staying here again soon.

Stayed in Charlotte recently for a long week. Having stayed at many W Hotels in the past, the group I was traveling with was looking forward to a clean, trendy hotel for our stay. Hotel was oddly laid out above the Epi-Center having the constantly take two seperate elevators to leave the building. Yes the conditions were "modern" but the ammenities […] and look of the rooms were defintiely more along the lines of a dorm room. Views were awful...staying on the 6th Floor we looked out onto...the roof full of heating and air conditioning equipment. No view of anything in the city. Air conditioning in room was broke all weekend (after two attempts to fix it) 78+ degrees all weekend in the room. Fire alarm at 6:30am on Sunday was not a welcome wake up call (we understand we are attached to the Epi Center where the drill came from) but little to no guidance from Aloft staff members.
