Exceptionally well managed hotel. All staff a courteous and helpful. Great customer service. Good breakfast preparation and offering.

I stayed here last year for my conference, no problem. Tiny room I know, but I was off in meetings all day. THIS year though I hardly slept a wink because I was able to hear just about every noise my neighbors made, including what was later estimated to be wheeled luggage of my upstairs neighbor checking in at midnight, sounded like a herd of cattle […] entered the room above me. Had a little problem finding to hotel, the power substation blocked the view of the sign. Ended up going past but on turning around saw the sign that time. Rooms are compact but as an over night stay were perfectly acceptable. Breakfast was typical.

My non-smoking room smelled like it had been smoked in a lot. The smell had been attempted to be covered up resulting in a urine smell. Very unfavorable smell. Breakfast ok. Room was clean it was the smell that was very revolting.

We were surprised by the small size of the room. It was much like in Europe with the room being slightly larger than the Queen bed. There was a window seat which was the only place to put luggage without tripping over it, and therefore there was no place to sit except on the bed. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the internet connection worked […] fine. When we checked in, the toilet was running. I went to the toilet and it took 3 flushes to even get the toilet paper down. I worried about when it might be more than just pee and so I immediately phoned downstairs to either have the toilet checked or get moved to a new room. The manager came up and flushed the toilet about 10 times, assuring me this was just a low-water toilet. Well if you have to flush 10 times I don’t see how it’s a low water toilet. And jiggling the handle to try to get it to stop running worked about 25% of the time. The hotel was very noisy and we could hear conversations in the next room and in the hallway, into the wee hours. I would not stay here again when there are so many hotels to choose from. The Microtel in Kearney is a great value. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing and the value can't be beat. I will definitely stay here again.

A fine place to stay.. The staff was friendly. Close to many restaurants. Just off the freeway.

I appreciate that this Microtel does not raise their rates on busy weekends. We had checked other area hotels that were charging twice as much and were not as nice and new as this Microtel. We have stayed here twice now and appreciate the comfy beds and cleanliness of the whole hotel.

Very nice room. Clean and well maintained and nicely decorated. Would stay again. Will be looking for Microtel when traveling.

Great staff, clean and comfortable room - a little cozy, but quite adequate. This is my second time to stay at this property.

This was 1st time staying in Microtel hotels and we were very impressed with the level of service and comfort. The room was very clean and furniture was new. The beds were incredibly comfortable! And the room was clean and really roomie! Would absolutely stay there again!

I've stayed at many a hotel. From the cheapest to Vegas casino's. This was comparable to some of the best places I've stayed at. Extremely clean, nice looking rooms. Extremely happy with my stay and will stay here anytime I'm in Kearney. Far exceeded my expectations and would recommend to anyone staying In the area.

Pleasant hotel close to the highway with easy access down the main street in Kearney. Complementary breakfast was fresh and tasty.

This was my ninth week at this hotel and I recommend it highly, especially the Queen suites that are a few dollars more than a standard room but half the cost of regular rooms at nearby major chains.

This was my eighth week of stay at this property, most results were up to the previous high standards, however I did note a slip in the housekeeping quality for my room on 3 successive days. I mentioned my concern to the new General Manager at breakfast and he personally acted on the concern, engaged the head housekeeper and then checked with me the […] next morning at breakfast. This is my 7th week staying at this property, and the new management seems to be maintaining the level of service. Once or twice the housekeepers slip a little on replenishing supplies or emtying a trash can, but overall it is still excellent service.

Newer hotel, pleasant staff, comfortable room. For a budget price, very nice!

I enjoyed the Microtel the last time I visited Kearney. It's a great value, very clean & modern. The only complaint I've got is the paper thin walls. I could hear the man in the next room over snoring. I don't know that this is enough to prevent me from staying here in the future, as the price is unbeatable.

This was my 6th week of staying at this property, and the new management & new front desk staff are doing great. They are maintaining the great standards set by Sid the former general manager.

This was my fifth week staying at Microtel Kearney, and everything is still great. The much loved General Manager Sid has departed for a career change and interim management is in place while new staff and management are being trained, but the quality and friendliness is still strong.

I got a total of about 3 hours of sleep. The walls and floors are paper thin, and I heard every snore, every stomp, and every TV around me all night long. There must have been a party going on above me. The desk clerk said there was not another room on the upper floor available. There were maybe 6 cars in the parking lot. Don't stay here if you want […] to sleep. I stayed at the Econo Lodge in the same town on the way back from this trip, and slept like a baby. When you need an affordable place to stay with quality that goes beyond the price, Microtel Kearney is a great place. The staff were all friendly, efficient, and helpful.

Training was in progress when I arrived, and the front desk manager was leading a new hire through the steps required to access and register an incoming party. We were treated well, room very clean, outlets accessible (CPAP), small pet friendly, older quiet clientel. All in all, as good as it gets if is is not home. This was my 4th week at this property and everything is great. I recommend the Queen Suites and odd numbered rooms (they are the quietest in the property). The Manger and staff are very warm friendly small town folks that make every guest welcome.

When we come back we will stay there again.

This was my 3rd stay in 2 months at Microtel Kearney. Previously I had odd numbered rooms (East facing away from 2nd Ave) this time I had an even numbered room (facing West towards 2nd Ave). One night with high winds caused very frequent irritating noises from a tall flag pole on neighboring business property (cable slapping & ringing pole ). Microtel […] staff was unable to get cooperation from the flag pole owners and moved me across the hall to a quieter room. If you are a very light sleeper- the ODD number rooms are quieter. I had never stayed at a Microtel before and chose this one based on the reviews on this site. I found all the reviews to be accurate - the staff was nice, the building was brand new, the rooms were clean, the location was convenient, and the rates were good. Everything you'd need for a stopover on a roadtrip. However, I did learn why they're called […] "Microtel" since the room was the smallest I'd ever stayed in before. Again, since it was meant to be a no-frills stopover I had no complaints with room size. Don't expect a lot of room to move around if you stay here. The only real issues I had were the walls were a bit thinner than most hotels (thankfully the couple having sex next door were considerate and wrapped things up by midnight), and the drain in the bathtub emptied at a glacial pace. I let the front desk know about the drain when I checked out and they told me they'd have maintenance look at it. Whether they actually will, I have know way of knowing. Przeczytaj więcej

The room was clean and orderly with friendly staff throughout the hotel. However, the walls were quite thin and every noise could be heard from all floors throughout the night. In addition, the breakfast was anything less than satisfying.

The Microtel is located along the same strip of 2nd ave as most hotels in Kearney. The property is new, clean and well maintained, the staff is nice, and the rates for a Queen Suite are much better than all the nearby competition.

This hotel is on the 2nd Ave. "strip" with most other hotels in Kearney, but gives much better value for the price. New property, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms. Suite Rooms provide a wet bar, fridge and large work surface for computers, at half the price of neighboring extended stay or suite hotels. My family of four had a great experience here. Friendly staff, a printer I needed, and a nice breakfast with pleanty of seating. And perhaps most important, it was quiet.

I read a guest review that it was a nice surprise for the price, and I absolutely agree. I love the more compact design of the room; all the essentials were there and the somewhat European decor gave a clean look to the room.

Excellent room, friendly staff, and a very good complimentary breakfast.

My family stayed in several hotels on a trip in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The last hotel we stayed in was Microtel. None of the others were as nice as this one. I would recommend this hotel with no reservations.

I love this hotel! The rooms are always very clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is good. This is ALWAYS my go-to-hotel when I'm in Kearney, NE visiting my college student and/or shopping. : o)

Friendly, helpful and a nice breakfast.

For a 2 star Hotel. With low cost I got WAY more then I expected. Room was Bueatuiful and VERY comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast Complete and not crowded. Lobby, halls and building extior was Very Nice looking. Defenitly would stay again.
