Simple touches like a free mini- bar and free tea and coffee in the reception lounge - make this a touch better than other places. The room and bathroom were modern and clean and comfortable.

Stayed recently for a few days on business. The hotel is great: Nice clean rooms and excellent shower (very important). Breakfast is good and staff friendly and helpful. Good location and, because it's tucked into a side road, very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

We booked 3 rooms, stayed for a weekend and would recommend the hotel to those looking for conveniently situated, friendly parisian hotels that have well maintained bathrooms. The hotel is sufficiently far away from the main road that noise is not a problem. However it is close enough to both metro (vavin) and taxi stops which makes navigating Paris […] easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day visit to the Chaplain Rive Gauche. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and fresh with an interesting decor. I was hooked as soon as I read the online reviews for this hotel as we try to stay in different areas of the city on each visit. First off, I need to tell you that I was mislead by your website who positioned this hotel in St-Germain-des-Prés when in actual fact, it is located in Montparnasse. Disappointment number 1. Upon arrival, the gentleman on […] duty was so busy texting, he barely noticed us arriving and I had to clear my throat loudly for him to look up. He was however very courteous and helpful once we got his attention. Disappointment number 2 : the room was so small, we could barely get our luggage in and actually move around the room. That problem was resolved however in the morning with a slightly larger room at no extra charge. Small problem was that the bathroom was smaller, so I guess there is compromise necessary whichever way you go. The chambermaid was FANTASTIC and helped make our transfer simple and painless. The friendliness of the front desk varied dependiing on who was on duty but ofr the most part, was OK. Please do not forget your earplugs as the noise level in this hotel is pretty high. Thanks to the reviews at trip advisor and hotels.com my husband found this delightful 25 room hotel close to the metro, luxemburg gardens and a wonderful sandwich shop. Special thanks to Kelly who took care of every need while in Paris. A very clean hotel with rather spacious bathroom for a boutique Paris hotel, very clean and well maintained. Only 3 min walk to the Metro, quite convenient. The only thing is that if you are dining in a neighborhood restaurant, likely you will have to read the menu in French where English menu is not available. The hotel is very nice and well situated close to Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The room was very small but clean, modern and comfortable. The content of the minibar was free of charge, which is quite unsual.

I stayed in this hotel for 7 nights and really enjoyed my stay here. My partner actually arrived really early and he only had to wait an hour before they got him in a room, which was really great. Breakfast was $14Euros but we ended up eating outside of the hotel instead. Like most Paris hotels the room was small, but that didn't really matter. It […] did make storing the cases a bit tricky but it was not too hard. The bathroom was really nice, and they replenished the shampoos etc every day with fresh towels. No bath, but again, that was not an issue for me. The bed was comfortable and we also had a bar fridge which my sisters hotel did not have. The location good, it was right near a metro and also the Luxembourg gardens, which were beautiful. There is also a street of Crepe shops nearby! :) Overall a great stay, I would highly recommend it! This was a great little hotel in a great area of Paris. The rooms were small but very very quaint and beautiful. Loved the service and the quality of our rooms.

Quiet street with many things close by.

Tucked down a side street, but the area is typical laid back Paris with plenty of bars and cafes to sit outside in the sunshine with a beer or coffee. Hotel is compact but clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Stayed at the Chaplain Rive Gauche for four nights while we were in Paris at the end of April. The rooms are average size and the bathroom is a good size for Paris. The hotel is located close to the metro and is ~10 minutes walking to the hop on/hop off bus. We would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a clean, quite, centralling located hotel. All personnel spoke English and were very accommadating with information. Asta, Emelda, and the gentlemen were very friendly and helpful. Bonjour

Everything was perfect. The room was small, but clean and we really didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room - we were out seeing the sights. The staff was very courteous. The minibar was free - water, orange juice, Coke, Diet Coke, and mineral water in the fridge - and you could ask for more if you needed it (all but one of the staff were extremely […] generous). I'm pregnant, so water was super important to me - and we were told not to drink the tap water, so having unlimited bottled water was a huge, huge plus. I based our decision to stay here on others' comments and was not disappointed. The staff was extremely helpful and spoke English to our very bad French. Not pretentious but instead friendly. The rooms were snug as most Paris hotels but with spacious bathrooms and comfortable queen bed (not squishy-soft). The small refrigerator was stocked with a few […] drinks that were free with the room. The hotel is centrally located on the Left Bank (Rive Gauche). We walked as far east as the Pantheon, north to Norte Dame and Louve, and west to the Eiffel Tower and Arche de Triumphe. If you want to use the Metro, it is conveniently near. The neighborhood is very nice and safe with a variety of restaurants. The Luxemburg Gardens is a few block away that shows a family side to Paris. Restaurant recommendation: near the Sorbonne, Les Fete Galantes. Amazing food and quirky atmoshpere. Everyone in the restaurant had been there many times from all over the world. This may sound cliche, a hidden gem. Ignore the couple of negative reviews on Trip Advisor. I find the bulk of the other Paris restaurants uninspiring and way overpriced for the cliched offerings. Like the title says, this hotel was a great value for the price, with a very central location in the 6th arr. It's a block to Montparnasse, and many good cafes and restaurants, and one block in the opposite direction takes you right into a lovely park. We took one day to sightsee by foot and walked to Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower - stopping […] at cafes along the way - and walked back to the hotel by evening. It was a little challenging - probably 4-5 miles round-trip - but very enjoyable. The front desk staff were also very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to a friend. Concierge was very helpful. Rooms were very clean, and well decorated. Free tea and coffee is available from the reception. Definately recommend this hotel!

Hôtel bien situé

Hotel moderno, renovado y limpio en buena zona. Precio aceptable por ser Paris.Buen servicio.

Saubere und schöne Zimmer (nicht groß), Frühstück draussen presiwerter, Metro um die Ecke, Restaurants ebenfalls, Nachtportier erinnerte sich leider nicht an für uns zurückgelegte Gegenstände, leider war am zweiten morgen das heiße Wasser ausgefallen...ansonsten aber zu empfehlen!

Very nice and clean rooms. A bit small, but all you need for a little weekend or week in Paris. The staff was also very friendly and helpfull, and there was no problem communicating in english with any og them. Also a good location close to the Vavin underground station.

Bodde tre netter her. Små rom, men veldig hyggelig. Litt lengre fra "de små koselige gatene i Latinerkvarteret" enn vi trodde, men gode Metro stasjoner like i nærheten. Flere hyggeligge restauranter like ved.

Hotellet har en rigtigt god rolig beliggenhed i Montepanasse tæt på seværdigheder og gode spisesteder. Meget venligt personale. Hotellet er næsten nabo til Luxembourg Jardin, som virkelig er et besøg værd.

Boa localização em Montparnasse, proximo ao Jardim de Luxemburgo. Quarto twin não é muito grande, mas o banheiro é ótimo, com blindex e um chuveiro excelente. Serviço impecavel. Todos os funcionarios do hotel foram atenciosos e na recepção todos falavam inglês.
